All talk, no go. Although Michelle tries to keep Mike on track, it was like pulling teeth to get a contract detailing the needed work from them. Eventually, i wrote up a scope of work which they then copied into their and quot;standardand quot; contract. Mike showed up with a helper on the day agreed, but at 10:45. When I talked with him, he said and quot;We'll finish this todayand quot;. Unfortunately, he apparently didn't read his own contract on the scope of work and claimed the scope was considerably less than I was explaining until I showed him his own contract. After that discussion, he took a couple more swings with a pick-ax and then packed up his equipment and left. Apparently he decided that he couldn't meet his obligations.
Description of Work: Proposed work: Extend existing wall 22.5' or 15 blocks, 4 blocks tall plus matching cap using RidgeRock II gray block to match existing material. Foundation to be as existing wall, including any required drainage and stone back fill.

Unfortunately you can’t please everyone all the time. (Member name removed) neighbor is the one that commented below, and gave us an all A rating. (Member name removed) wanted us to bury 2 8”high block in the ground, which would mean we would have to dig 20” in the ground, at 8” wide. We charged (Member name removed) to dig wide, and deep enough for a foundation, to match existing foundation, which is listed in the contract. His existing foundation did not consist of two split face block underground. We only charged (Member name removed) $400 to dig a 22.5” for a footer. Fill footer with concrete, and lay split face block. (Member name removed) is very arrogant. His character did not impress our contracting company, nor my employees. After numerous sarcastic remarks from (Member name removed), while he hovering over us, we decided it was best to leave the property. (Member name removed) voided the contract when he requested I’d bury two split face block in the ground. The contract that was signed by (Member name removed) indicated we’d match existing foundation. Existing foundation did not have two split face block buried. Again, you can’t please everyone all the time. We get an all A rating from (Member name removed) neighbor, so that should show you honestly can’t please everyone. By the way, we arrived after it stopped raining that morning. We can't work in the rain. Please don’t base your opinion of M & M Masonry on just one person negative opinion. M and M masonry came through big time for us. We were left with a half finished project was left behind from another landscaper here on AngiesList. They were able to start the project within 2 days of contacting them and gave us a great quote. They finished on time and it looks great. They were even nice enough to let us borrow their shop vac so we can clean up some mess left behind from the previous landscaper. I would highly recommend their services for any masonry project you have. Learn from our mistake, hire a Mason to do masonry work!
Description of Work: They installed stone veneer on our firepit and 4 columns on our pergola. They also capped everything with flagstone.
