The refrigerator was delivered on the date scheduled. After removal of the old unit and installation of the new unit, the men left. The refrigerator seemed to be working, but after leaving it alone and empty overnight, it was not any cooler the next morning, and a thermometer I placed inside showed it was the same temp as the room. I called Lowe's appliance department for lack of any other idea of who to call, and the guy who answered said he would look into it and call me back. Two hours later, I called again and got the original sales guy who said the same thing. Two hours after that, I called and got a third guy who told me the same thing. Finally, after waiting for someone to call me back and tell me what could be done, I hauled my son over to Lowe's and talked to a manager. She arranged for a delivery of a new model the next morning. Those idiots in the appliance department could have transferred me to a manager on my first call rather than waste my day and result in waiting another day for a replacement. I will never buy another appliance there again. How would these guys feel if their wives got the run-around I got? The dishwasher was delivered two hours later than the window of time. The plumber installed it, seemingly all was fine. I used it for the first time the next week, and I found water on my floor and under the kitchen sink pouring out of the connection to the disposal. I called the plumber who said I had to call Lowe's since they were a sub-contractor. I called Lowe's who said that he would put it in to the system immediately. That was Thursday--I didn't hear from the plumber for 5 days, so then I called the plumber again. They said they had no work order. I had to call Lowe's again. The guy I got on the phone couldn't find any report of my call last Thursday. He said he had to talk with "some people" and "find out what's going on." He called back after about an hour to say that he found someone who had sent the work order. I don't know how they contact the plumber, if it's by fax or some other method, but I said that the plumber had not received it. He said they were re-sending it. After about 3 hours, the plumber called to set up a return visit to fix the problem. I think I would have been better off to hire my own plumber who would have some accountability to me instead and avoid all the calling I had to do. Lowe's will sell you something quite happily, but then they won't deal with problems professionally. This was not a seamless process at all.

Lowes was pretty good. I have no complaints. My roof isn't leaking and they were sure to clean up after the work was completed. The workers were courteous and kind and they all spoke English.
