I purchased the deal on list. Mathew came in time. He was very nice. He was here to install 2 ceiling fans but we found out that one of the fans was not working because of the control box. I had brought a similar fan so we replaced it and it worked. Then he went upstairs to my son's room and installed his fan. I will definitely him them again.

On Saturday, my wife discovered a buzzing sound was coming from the area of our Jacuzzi tub. Suspecting it was related to the pump motor I spent time online looking for the reason plus looking in the crawlspace for the source of it, turning off the circuit breaker and a couple related switches, locating our septic alarm etc.. Called my favorite Angie's list plumber (Wayne's Plumbing and Repair) and he coached me to look for an electrician, so I looked for a company that could come look into it on the weekend. Called several unsuccessfully and left messages, including Johnathon, then finally scheduled with an emergency style company for later that day at minimum cost of $299! Johnathon returned my call and apologized for being booked all day and unable to visit, but wanted to see if he could help me with it over the phone. So I explained the issue and went through the steps I had done unsuccessfully to find the source. After reviewing some other options, he suggested diplomatically that I consider the unusual. This was based on his personal experience and he thought I should rule out the presence of a small appliance, like an electric razor. No razors or other appliances were in that area. However as I stood over the tub speaking to Johnathon I looked down and saw the small garbage can sitting on the step up to the tub, which had tissue and debris in it. When I touched it I felt vibration. After pulling out the garbage, I discovered buried in the bottom a broken cordless alarm clock my wife had thrown out. Apparently it wasn't so broken it could not still come to life and make noise. The moral of this story is, don't rule out the obvious or the unusual, or even the obviously unusual! Johnathon deserves the credit for helping me see this, and of course saving me a minimum of $299! I ask, how many would spend the time and effort to help with a problem, on the phone, while completely booked, ON THE WEEKEND? Not many I'm quite sure. But now I know who my new "go-to" electrician is.

Jonathon was very friendly and competent. He explained everything he was doing for us and patiently answered our questions. If he saw a problem, he fixed it. Being from the north, we had never had ceiling fans before. He checked out that each ceiling fan had the proper junction box above the ceiling. Evidently, it's risky attaching a ceiling fan to a light fixture junction box. He also pointed out that the flickering lights on some ceiling fans were due to use of compact florescent bulbs where incandescent bulbs were required. CFBs do not operate properly with dimmer switches because they require a steady current. A simple fix. We appreciate Jonathan's honesty here. He could have taken us for a ride. He also tightened all the ceiling fan attachment bolts and assured us that the minor wobble of some of the fans was nothing to worry about. They were not coming down. It was more aesthetics. If the wobble bothered us, he would be glad to replace them for us. He said finding the source of the minor wobble could be very time consuming and probably not worth it. Again, no hard sell on Jonathon's part. Jonathon is our Charlotte electrician going forward in our new home.

Brian did a great job, was very courteous and professional, and always had my back when it came to the direction I was headed with my kitchen. He offered great suggestions that saved me a TON of hassles (different switches for LED dimmers, better recessed lighting mounting styles, extra boxes for growth, 3-way switches in better locations, local vendors to save me money over big-box stores). Brian even showed me a great LED accent lighting system that will work better than I had planned and at a fraction of the cost. And the breaker box was too small for future growth so he helped me decide what I needed based upon where I was headed. He even suggested a plumber that would also do gas-line installations that saved me electricity and got me the gas oven I always wanted. Overall great job guys!
