Description of Work: Checked all circuits in house and workshop, replaced GFI plugs that were burned.

Description of Work: I used Angie's List to find an Electrician, Mr. Brown came to the house for an estimate stayed for almost two hours then said he would get back to me with an estimate, he never called or return my phone calls. This is very rude and unprofessional. If he didn't want the job then why did he come over and why he didn't spend one minute to call and tell me so.

Description of Work: Checked for problem with ceiling light/fan fixture - tried to repair wiring problem - fixed it temporarily until we can get it fixed by a lighting professional. Wiring was encased in some type of cover that was not familiar to him. He also tested to make sure all the other 7 lights were ok to use until we get it repaired. Very satisfied with service-plan to hire again.

Description of Work: After having been unsuccessful in resolving significant electrical issues in our home for over 2 years, we reached out for a referral from Angie's List, and contacted Johnathan Brown, to give it another try. Johnathan was extremely thorough and was able to identify several significant problems in our wiring, that appeared to be the source of our issues. Johnathan was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, clearly explained the issues, and made recommendations for what he believed would be the most effective approach to address these issues. We were totally satisfied with his work and his work ethic and we would definitely use him again. We would highly recommend him for any electrical job....especially if it is a complicated one.

Description of Work: Very responsive,he came out on his day off. He spent two hours diagnosing and fixing an electrical problem. Turned out to be a open wire, lost neutral. Not easy to find but he did. Work was very neat, professional and he cleaned up at the end. He explained what he was doing at every step. Excellent work. We would highly recommend him.

Description of Work: I purchased a $89 deal for 2 hours of electrical labor. The service went well. He provided an estimate to have electric ran to the shed. I ended up going with another company because their pricing was better. Jonathan did a great job and gave good recommendations.

Description of Work: Johnathon started a 1-for-1 replacement of my 100 amp meter box and new riser after confirming with the county inspector that an upgrade to 200 amp was not mandatory. His bid was based on this but it turned out that the city, of which I am resident of, had a different take. To his credit, he carried on and worked out basically an upgrade (external only) that would meet the city's code. Naturally the project cost a little more. I just had the inspector come by. The inspector had high praise for the quality of the work and even said it was "above and beyond". I have an old house and there is a lot to do to bring the wiring up to code and I can't do it all at one time. Thankfully I found Johnathon who knows his trade. I depended on him to guide/advice me so I would not be forced at this time to undertake a whole house upgrade. I will be saving up for an upgrade and Johnathon Brown Electric, specifically Johnathon, is the person I will call. Just to be clear, my cost for this job was discounted from the normal upgrade because I had asked for and accepted the bid for a replacement, not an upgrade (this speaks well of his character).

Description of Work: Johnathon came to the home to assess a problem I had with a breaker for my dishwasher. He discovered that the builder had connected other electrical features to the same breaker as the dishwasher and installed the wrong type of breaker - which was faulty as well. He explained everything very clearly and told me what my options were. I decided to replace the breaker which he did on the spot. Great service! Not sure whether his pricing is competitive - seems high to me - but I definitely was not going to mess with anything electric myself so it was worth the money.

Description of Work: Rewired all pot-lights in kitchen ceiling (7 of them), installed ceiling fan with light in den and installed new light fixture in front hallway. Called to say he was coming, put booties over shoes, cleaned everything up afterwards and took away trash. Prompted, professional and very nice. Pleasant person and worked hard.
