We highly recommend Artisan and its owner Brian. We needed an outside electrical outlet that our pool filter connected to repaired. When I called Artisan, Brian answered immediately. He was able to come and make the repair within a few hours of our call. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would. He was very courteous and explained everything he was doing. He also went over and above his duties by explaining what needed to be done when someone else was going to be installing the new pool filter to insure that everything was connected properly. He even offered to come after the pool filter was installed to make sure all the electrical grounding, etc was done properly.

Brian is very professional and honest. He has always showed up when he is scheduled to come to our house and his prices are reasonable.

Brian with Artisan really was very responsive to my needs. The very next day he was at my house in Lake Wylie and began systematically diagnosing our problem. He traced from the area it began in a dimmer switch in the bonus room, through several outlets and fixtures. He noticed immediately that there was no neutral and the current read was 220v not 110v. That explained the burnt smoke detector on the same circuit. He went from outlet to outlet, fixture to fixture and patiently got to the source of the problem. Downstairs, after removing the panel cover to the breakers, he found that that neutral wire had shorted out at the ground. It was burnt and not making contact. He removed damaged wire and re-attached, checked all of the connections in the breaker box as well. He then found a couple of other outlets in the house with problems, one with a ground issue and one that the builder had never attached the wires to downstairs. I have to tell you, this guy is thorough and if I ever need anything electrical done, inside or out, business or home I know who to call. All this for $100. And you will want to tip him....like I did. I'm not used to this kind of customer service! Thanks Brian and thanks to Angie's List getting these important details RIGHT!

Brian came out and quoted our job, and scheduled to do the work in the following week. He was very prompt and left the work site immaculate. We wanted extra sockets outside for Christmas lights. We had blown breakers in the past so we asked Brian to bring a new circuit outside for 3 areas. He went under the house and drilled through brick and morter. He installed 3 outdoor electrical outlets and installed a light in my daughters bedroom. The bedroom did not have electric in the ceiling but he completely installed from new. I would highly recommend.

This is the second time I have used Artisan. Just like before Brian came out and gave me an estimate immediately. Brian completely disassembled our component system, insuring to label all items. He removed the TV from the wall, relocated it on the opposite wall above the fireplace. He was very neat and when the job was complete, 3 rooms and the deck were all working wonderfully. In addition he installed a second TV in another room. I am so pleased with Brian's work, I can watch a DVD in one room while listening to the tuner in another and I did not have to pay geek prices.

poor professionalism. He had a very bad attitude and once he admitted that he had been going through a rough time as he was going through a divorce with his wife. Overall, his attitude and professionalism was very poor and also he paid little attention to detail. We are very detail oriented people and know what we want but he did not pay much attention to what we wanted. He also ordered the wrong lights at first and then wanted us to pay a 50% restocking fee. We, of course, did not oblige as it was not our fault that he ordered the wrong lights.

Went Great. I didn't expect to get a person at 8pm on a Friday night! But I did and Brian was at my house around noon the very next day. Brian patiently figured out why I wasn't getting power to outlets and lights in my son's room. He then reviewed two outdoor flood lights and determined the problems there as well as a third problem area. I would definitely use Artisan again.

The night before our appointment, Brian called to confirm our time and the work to be performed. On the morning of the appointment, he called again to let me know that he was on his way. When he arrived, he again reviewed what needed to be done, verifying specific details since this was an unusual project. He then proceeded to not only fix the problem, but clean up the mess after himself. The work is fabulous, and I am going to be able to be much more efficient now that I can use the lights and machines at the same time. This is probably the fourth or fifth job that Brian has done for us, and it is definitely not the last.

The entire experience was excellent. I have used Brian as my electrician for the past 3 years. (He was previously the electrician with Fairway Electric, and now has Artisan Electric.) I called him about coming out to get an estimate on these two projects I wanted to have done. He came out the afternoon of the day I called him, and I showed him what I was interested in having done. He talked through each of the projects with me to make sure he understood what I was looking for and to talk through the details that he saw would arise with each of the projects. He said he would get the quote to me on the next business day (Monday). Monday he called with the quote and said that if I wanted him to do the two jobs, he could do them that Thursday. By the next day, we had made up our minds and wanted him to do it. He came out on Thursday afternoon just as we had planned. We had not set an exact time (I had said he could come after he finished his morning appointment), and he called when he headed this way to make sure I was home and would be expecting him. He went right to work getting the jobs done and didn't stop until they were finished (except when he realized that I was carrying some boxes into the attic, so he came to help hand them up to me!) When he was finished with both jobs, he showed each of them to me to make sure I was satisfied with his work. We are thrilled with both projects. We feel like his prices were reasonable, and the fact that it was all done in less than a week from when I first called for the estimate was impressive. Brian is a great electrician, is very professional, and I felt very comfortable having him here working at the house. I have found my electrician and not only recommend him for Angie's List, I also recommend him to my family and friends!

Brian is outstanding. Angie's list does not have a rating high enough for this company. "A" is simply insufficient. They called ahead, arrive on time, accomodated my changes to the original job description and were very reasonable. One of my ceiling fans (which I had purchased) was damaged. Brian waited while I went to Lowes to get a replacement. He did not charge me extra for this. He installed several fans and the remote controls as well as all new outlets in my kitchen. I could not be happier. We will be using this company for additional work in the coming year. Exceptional service, quality, price and attitude!

Service was performed quickly and expertly.

I thought we had a bad outlet - turns out we hadn't pressed the GFI reset button - called him at 9am, he came at 11:00 to meet my schedule, and fixed the problem in 2 seconds -no charge! I will definitely call him again if we ever have a problem! Wouldn't let me even pay him for gas!

Entire process went very well. Brian returned my call right away for estimate and showed up on time. For the actual job, he stayed late to make sure everything was completed and even offered to come back to finish the cooktop hookup after countertop is installed.

My husband ended up fixing the problem, but I am still planning to use them. So far they have been very friendly and helpful. He came right away and came directly from another job. He was very nice and very professional. He explained what needed to be done. He gave me an idea of the cost and when he called to give me the actual estimate, it was lower.

Brian was very easy to work with at our house. He gave a firm line item quote, and that was our cost, was on time, and the work was done professionally and quickly. He even gave us a tip on the under-cabinet lighting, which we liked better, and was actually a little less money. We will definitely recommend him and call him for any electrical needs.

I actually used Artisan for 3 jobs. One small ($250) puck lights under kitchen cabinets. One medium ($2100) new main breaker panel and electrical service to an older house. One large ($5000) a full additon with lights, new sub-panel, wiring. I would highly recommend them for all 3 types of jobs. Brian (the owner) showed up when he said, gave an esitmate, came back when he said he would, did the work with 1 other guy to pull wires etc, stuck to the price (changed slightly because i changed fixtures), finished on time- all I could ask of a contrator and less than I got from others. He also didn't care if I bought my own fixtures, swicthes etc or if he bought them for me, dfferent from others who insisted on supplying everything. I bought my own cieling fans and track lights, and let him buy the recessed lights and smoke alarms.

We were very impressed and pleased with the entire process. Brian was extremely responsive, punctual, and courteous. His work was outstanding and I would highly recommend him and use him again.

We called on a Monday and by Wednesday the work was complete. They were on time, did the work correctly, and left the area clean. They did as much as possible to cover the old hole so that we would not be left with a big patching job. We were very pleased with the outcome.

Fantastic. Everything works great. Brian was there with his dad and they both did an outstanding job. A real pleasure having them help out in my projects.

I have used Brian several times before. Almost every time I've used him, I have submitted a report. It's seldom that you find a craftsman as conscientious and as pleasant to work with as Brian. I have recommended him to many of my friends and relatives.

Brian arrived on time and was very professional. He got right to work and stayed busy the entire time. He did an outstanding job and everything works great. In regards to the appearance of the work everything looked as if it had been put in at the time of construction instead of something added later. I will certainly hire them again for future projects. I cannot reccommend them enough.
