 + -1 moreIt didn't happen at all. I had to leave the house so I left two adult children at the house to meet the serviceman. I called Jacob's while I was out to discuss paying over the phone when the dispatcher informed me the serviceman was at the house but no one is coming to the door. I called home instantly and she said no one came to the house. When I called Jacob's right back and informed her that no one was there she said that the serviceman called Jacob and then she informed me we had to find someone else to do the job. No offer to reschedule just find someone else. I think if we lived in another part of town we would have been treated a little more courteous than that. All this happened 15 minutes after scheduled appointment. And again two adults were at the house the whole time.
Description of Work: Clean out needed to be repaired.

Description of Work: Hot water heater did not work. Service man flipped a breaker switch on the unit itself that had tripped (I was unaware of its existence). He was done in under 15 min (unit is in the attic). Service is pmt at time of service at min/hr $100.- which is steep, especially for this call. But they are prompt.

 + -1 moreContractor was very professional. Looked over areas that were an issue, and even gave a quote for other unrelated work. As he did not do the kind of work we needed, he charged us nothing for the visit or the estimates. Very pleased... even if he didn't fix the lift pump.
Description of Work: Needed Sewage Lift pump & some drainage work. Contractor did not do this kind of work.

Description of Work: Please don't use my real name for this. They cleaned tree roots out of the sewer pipe and replaced faucet handles in the shower. We had to wait for parts to be ordered, and then the plumber had surgery. So it was almost a month, plus a couple of calls from us to finally get it finished. He did a good job. The price seems high, but perhaps $100 minimum per visit and $100 per hour is the norm. They always come the same day you call.. and sometimes almost right away. |

 + -1 moreJacob Plumbing Co Inc. came and did what he had to do. He wanted to charge us $287 and we refused to pay it. We went in to Jacob's plumbing said it should be $187. We talked to somebody else because that was not acceptable. They were kind of surprised when we said that we were not satisfied.

Description of Work: The bathroom hot water pipe was leaking. I called Jacob's asked for Phil who previously repaired other leaks in my home and is very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. He tells you what repair needs to be done and the price. He is prompt, very clean and tidy. He shut off the water after examining the leak, removed and replaced the pipe. After the repair was completed he tested the pipe to make certain there were no leaks.
