Jahn and Bob were at our house the next day after submitting our request. They were friendly, informative and professional. Jahn provided copies of insurance papers even before we inquired, gave a reasonable written estimate and a short window to starting the tree removal. They began tree removal in less than a week and had the project completed within about 10 days, including a weekend and our add-on requests. Jahn even sent some perspective photos from treetop height and some ground-level photos during the process. They removed a total of 7 large trees, ground 13 stumps, removed some leftover decaying stacked firewood (from hurricane damage several years ago), hauled all trees and debris (except for a few pieces of maple one of my sons wanted to keep for his knife making hobby) and cleaned the work areas nicely. The brick fences and the house were unscathed. While we might have been able to find a lower overall price from another tree service, Jahn has a strong reputation in the area for providing top notch tree service. Given the potential risk from felling trees so close to our house, this was a great choice.

I cant say enough good things about this company. I called and left a message and with in an hour I had a phone call from Colleen. She made an appointment for the next day and the gentleman came out and did the evaluation and said the owner, john would be in contact with me. John called later in the day and came out and gave me an estimate and also pointed out something else that needed done. Due to my prior commitments and weather it was the next week before we could do it, but they were in contact with me several times over the next few days. I never had to wonder where they were! They arrived around 9:30 on 05/19/2015. They had called the day before to let me know they would be there before and then that morning they called to let me know they were on their way. They were all pleasant and professional. I expressed some concern about a little rosebush that I had that was not much more than 20 feet from the tree. He said, no problem we'll be able to save it. It was taken down one piece at a time, I was amazed, so close to the rose bush and it wasn't touched. I was expecting the surrounding area to be a little bit messed up because it's been so rainy, but it wasn't bad at all, no deep ruts. Very satisfied with the work they did, and the cleanup involved. Hultgren came out promptly and offered us a free estimate. The next day the owner called to see if we were sanctified with the person they sent for the estimate and to discuss where their estimate was with the other that we had received. After talking with the owner, he made us a better offer and we decided to use their services. I could not be more pleased with the knowledge they shared with us, explaining why we shouldn't do what we wanted and making suggestions that would keep the pruned trees healthy. It took 2 days for the crew to take care of all the work. They worked constantly and cleaned up everything quickly. I would highly recommend Hultgren Tree Services, based on their knowledge and work ethic!

The entire crew was quiet, polite, kind, and professional. Mr. Hultgren explained everything he would do and why and gave us a good quote. He stood by that quote and did premium quality work. They cleaned up the work space when they were finished. We are calling them again this summer to clear some more problem trees. My husband has a degree in forestry and trusts Mr. Hultgren and crew with his yard.

Jahn came out to scope the project of removing two large oak trees. We agreed on a negotiated price & start date. When they arrived I discovered another tree was leaning & decided to add that to the project as well. Jahn was a pleasure to talk to & easy to work with. Very professional & all employees worked together like a fine tuned machine. No one was idle or slack in that bunch. Equipment was impressive including bucket truck that reached eighty-five feet, branch grinder, dump trucks, backhoe/frontend loader & stump grinder. All equipment performed well & appeared well maintained. Steps were taken to prevent concrete cracks in drive & I was warned of the possibility but I said go ahead anyway & some cracks developed. Everyone worked safely & cleanup was done the next morning. I'll definitely use these guys again.

I found Hultgren Tree Service on Angies List. After reading the reviews I decided to contact them. Jahn Hultgren, owner, returned my call the same day. I was impressed with his knowledge of tree care and maintaince and accepted his estimate which was very competive. He scheduled the job for 3 days later. He is very responsive and called to reschedule the date due to heavy rain. He arrived on the job with his crew as scheduled. He had very good modern equipment. His estimate was very detailed and all work was done to perfection from setup on site to final cleanup. No damage to concrete or surrounding shrubs. Jahn and his crew were very professonal and good to work with. A neighbor noticed the work at my house and asked Jahn for an estimate. Jahn preformed work for them the next day and they were also completely satisfied. Also, I told a friend of mine of the quality of work that Jahn had done for me. He called Jahn and scheduled an estimate on the same day as he was in the area. Jahn moved from my neighbor's job to my friend's house the following day. As you can see he is very responsive. Jahn Hultgren and his crew are truely a professional full tree service provider. I highly recommend them.

I have known him most of my life and he is very reputable. He deals with me honestly and fairly. He has done work for me and for other people I know. His prices are reasonable for the work that he does. He diagnoses trees that are sick which may be problems later. He does what he says he is going to do for the prices he quotes and always does a good job.

Mr. Hultgren was very nice and came for the appt on time. The estimate and evaluation of my situation was the most professional I got. He also suggested I not cut down a large living tree that was shading my house even recommending cutting the low hanging branches which improved the canopy while still providing good shade. My only minor complaint is that his workers did not clean the chips off my driveway and steps very well and did not fill in a low area of my lawn with some of the chips which I had asked for. I also wish that Mr. Hultgren would have made an inspection when the work was done while I was there and able to speak to him. However, I would definitely recommend and use his company again.

.I was truly pleased with the professionalism of Mr. Hultgren as well as his knowledge of trees. The entire crew was professional and wanted to do a good job. They even worked through all the pop up rain storms. I will definitely call them again in the Fall to do some more trimming. Thank you guys. I would tell everyone to use them. Jahn responded quickly for an estimate. He was professional providing me with a written estimate. (others did not). Since they were working near by they were able to complete my job within a day. Jahn followed up with a call to make sure I was satisfied with the work and to thank me for the business. I'll be using him this fall to trim trees he'd like to do with the leaves off.

Very nice people

Hultgren came and reviewed the work we were looking to have done, arrived on time, provided professional consultation, and provided us a quote as he stated he would do. His price was not the lowest in town, but based upon the consultation and knowledge of his work, we decided his company was one that would provide us a professional job. His crew arrived on time, raised the crown of the trees in both our front and back yards, removed a diseased tree, all as we discussed. His crew was very conscientious of where their trucks drove on our lawn, the watering system and sprinkler heads. They cleaned up any debris that was generated during the job. They are a very professional business and completed the job in the amount of time that was stated. i would highly recommend this business.
