These are some awesome people. They have a very reasonable price and they are always on time. They clean up the mess after and everything just works fine. I like the people, they are very nice.

When SCE&G came out to turn the gas on in our new home they also tested the systems that were using gas. Although all of our other gas appliances worked, he was unable to light the gas logs. I worried that they were just old and would need to be replaced. I called Coastal Mechanical to inspect the two gas log sets. I did not check Angie's List (as I normally would) before hiring Coastal Mechanical because they were so highly recommended by several knowledgeable people in the field, including someone from SCE&G. When Coastal Mechanical came out the first time to inspect our gas log system, well, I don't have a clue as to what he actually did but they were both working fine when he was finished. I was informed that the downstairs system was ventless and the upstairs one was vented meaning we would have to open the flue whenever we used it. That would let much of the heat escape up the chimney causing us to burn more fuel and still not feel as much warmth from this fire as we would with the ventless downstairs logs. So, we all went downstairs for a comparison and he was right, I was surprised by the marked difference in the heat output. It didn't take long for my husband and I to decide that a ventless system was the way to go. We would be cozier and our gas bill would be lower, win-win. I will definitely be using them again, in fact, our new gas range is scheduled for delivery and we were so pleased with the service last time, I have already called Coastal Mechanical about doing the range hook-up.
