About us

Our main goal is to save people money on their energy bills. If your home is 20 years old, odds are that's it's under insulated. Any money spent on upgrading the insulation in your attic is money well spent. In most cases the dollars that you spend will be recovered in 3 years or less through lower heating & cooling bills. In most older homes there are 3 things that we concentrate on. 1. The amount of insulation in the attic as well as the R-value of it. 2. Leaks in the HVAC system if it's in the attic. 3. Air leaks at the access to the attic, properly dealing with any recessed light that may not be IC ( insulation contact ) rated & around the chimney penetrations that may be in the home. Controlling air leakage can be costly at times but, moving air destroys the R-value which increase energy bills. We can also help the home owner with some of the storage problems they may have by building light shelving to get their stored items up off the attic floor so that more of the attic can be properly insulated. Mr. Slaughter arrived promptly on 8/27, checked the attic and discussed all repairs and installation needed in order to make the attic efficient for cooling and heating the house. After explaining everything in detail, Mr. Slaughter made an appointment for 9/2 at 7:00 AM to begin and complete the work. He and his son arrived promptly, removed everything from the attic I had stored there except some Christmas decorations. He and his son were done around noon and everything was spotless. I had one callback for some insulation that was drifting down into an outside storage room. Mr. Slaughter came immediately and fixed it. I was very pleased with his work, his professionalism, his politeness, and his friendly manner.
Description of Work: Repaired ducts, built ramp and shelving, vented bathroom fan, and checked for leaks in attic. Installed Owens Corning L77 bringing R value up to R-38 or better, and installed attic tent.

I was very impressed by the attention given to our needs. They took the time to make sure their product was all That as needed and that their weren't any additional "unforeseen" repairs . They gave me a quote which was less that half of what I expected it to be. They showed up, carried out there work in a clean orderly manner, left no messes behind and were done quickly. Aside from their courteous manner, exceptional pricing and professional work ethics....the best part is I immediately saw a return for my investment. My a/c units are running less. My rooms are more comfortable and my first electric bill dropped even though it only reflected a few days of running after the work was done. Very pleased!

Clean courteous professionals showed up on time. Job was done exceeding my expectations
Description of Work: Steve went over my attic with a fine tooth comb. He found problem areas that where contributing to the heating and cooling issues we had been experiencing. We had rooms in our house that stayed cold in the winter and hot in the summer. After Attics are us finished fixing the issues and insulating our utility bills went down and our house was finally comfortable. I was so impressed with this company, they showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and were courteous and effecient. I almost forgot one of the most important jobs they did. They took everything out of my attic before they insulated, built shelving on one end of my house and put everything back on my new shelves. Now all my junk is stacked neatly and orderely!
