The reason Mr. Rooter had to make the repair twice is that on the first visit the plumber they sent did not connect the section of line he replaced in a proper way, and roots regrew into the line causing a second repair to be made only a year later. I have asked Mr. Rooter to refund the money I paid for the 2nd repair, as I received a "life time guarantee" from them for the first repair. However, Mr. Rooters are franchised businesses, and our local Mr. Rooter has changed owners, and he refuses to honor the guarantee made. I have contacted Mr. Rooter corporate, and spoken to their vice president of operations, who backed his franchisee and refused to help me. Bottom line: Don't trust a guarantee from Mr' Rooter. If the franchise changes hands, the customer is left holding the bag.

We would highly recommend them and we have had an excellent experience with them. It was a Sunday night emergency repair and the plumber came out within half an hour. He was very professional, proficient and clean. He worked with us to keep the cost at the minimum. Even though it was an emergency call, I don’t think it cost me anymore than a regular call and for what I got, the price was excellent.

The technician came in response to an overflow problem on a Saturday. He searched everywhere around and under the house. He used cameras to visually inspect the inside of the pipes. He determined that it was probably the septic tank. Since I had company coming I insisted he try everything to either fix it or definitely determine that it was the septic tank. He dug up the sewer line and installed an access port which allowed him to determine that it was definitely the septic tank. I was able to get a septic tank company to come out that day and pump the tank.

Whenever we have a plumbing problem, we always call modern plumbing. They charge by the hour and they are not cheap but they are right in there with everybody else. We felt that the cost was reasonable. They are very knowledgeable and very responsive. Their people don't seem to be rushed. They are just really nice people. They do good work and are very responsive. The communication is excellent. They seem to have expertise in every area. They have never come in here and not been able to deal with the problem.
