+ -1 moreThe service worked out very well. They did a good job. They were on-time. They were very pleasant fellas that came and did the job. They did really well. They were friendly. I did have to pay an additional to the Big Deal because I was a little bit over the footage that I was allowed but not much. He showed me where the area I wanted done was a little larger than what the agreement was supposed to be and I understood that. That was no problem. I just gave him the additional $20 or $25. They responded right away.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Ace Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. They just did the tile in my kitchen and the dining area. It was a large area.

Description of Work: Showed up on time, steam cleaned carpets (and a couch that really needed it). Their compressor was so big it had to be left outside the front door, but cords and hoses were long enough for 2nd floor work.

Description of Work: Ace cleaned my carpets. I spoke with a company rep to schedule the service and we discussed what needed to be done prior to their arrival. I discussed the issue of my cat missing her box and urinating on the carpet in two spots. Ace told me to vacuum before their arrival and to pretreat the urine areas with a mixture of vinegar & water; this I did in prep for their arrival. When they showed up, they said they would need an additional $50 to treat the two areas. I said their advertisement included fixing pet odors, he said not cat urine. I felt that they misrepresented themselves by asking for additional funds once they arrived. I don't understand why they didn't mention an additional fee at the time of our discussion--I feel I may have been conned, but one of the major reasons for getting the carpets cleaned was to correct the urine smell. 'm not sure if I was conned or not. At the conclusion of the service, they told me the carpets would be dry in 3-4 hours. They finished my carpets at 11 AM and the carpets were soaking wet. I turned on fans and ceiling fans throughout the house; the carpets were still wet enough to soak through your socks at 11 PM. I question whether or not my carpets got thoroughly cleaned if so much water was left in the carpet. I will not use or recommend them to anyone looking for carpet cleaners.

+ -1 moreMr Rice and his associate arrived on time and in total preparation for the job. They went to work immediately after conferring with the homeowners. They paid special attention to problem areas and spent time and effort in making sure those areas as well as the rest of the home were cleaned, deodorized and left in "like new" condition. They were very courteous and professional. My family would not hesitate to utilized the services of Mr Rice and his company, Ace Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, again and would recommend this company to family and friends.
Description of Work: Shampooed, scrubbed and deodorized all carpets in my mother's home. Moved all furniture as needed and put back in proper placement.

+ -1 moreThey were so-so. I’d give them a seven out of ten. They didn’t use the vacuum extraction method so the carpet still had a lot of dog hair on it after they got done. It took a good while for it to dry. I got it on a coupon so I only spent $54. My wife told me you get what you pay for. The guy was nice. He brought in a portable unit. It just didn’t have the vacuum suction that the ones on the trucks have. It just couldn’t get the dog hairs up off the carpet. It was very clean but it took a long time to dry. After it dried I vacuumed it to get up the dog hair. The guy didn’t wear a uniform and the truck didn’t have any markings. I didn’t know who it was when he pulled up. But he was on time and he was polite. He was professional. I’d give him an eight on that.
