They didn't deliver as promised and overcharged for what they did. They wouldn't show up when they were supposed to, wouldn't respond to phone calls, and lied about the great service they would provide. They promised I would be happy with the results and wouldn't leave until I was. Still having drainage problems and can't get them to come back or come to fix what they promised they would. Don't call these people.
Description of Work: A VERY expensive total yard overhaul.

Horrible - didn't come when they said, left the job with a drainage issue, and I had to get an attorney involved. Half the plants they planted died. They wouldn't return our phone calls. We paid a huge amount of money and the process was a nightmare.

If you're someone who has $11,500 to spend - thinking you're going to get a Yard of your dreams - you need to wake up to the facts as I experienced them and choose someone else to do your work.
Description of Work: "Red" the owner of the business was very friendly and personable. He was recommended to me by someone who had just recently finished a job on my property and had done excellent work - so the recommendation weighed almost as the price when considering which landscaper to chose for my project which included spraying Roundup on about 1/2 of the front and back yards, installing an irrigation system, laying Centipede sod and landscaping flower / shrub beds including mulching with ground up tree bark. I should have known to stop the project right at the beginning when I found the guy with the cannister of Roundup spraying my neighbors yard - but I didn't. The next phase was to scrap the dead grass off the yard and start digging lines for the irrigation system. During the tractor work - a couple of my stately Maple trees received damage - on the lower hanging limbs where the tractor driver got too close and scraped the bark off. (It was denied by Red that they did this but the scrap was obviously fresh). With the irrigation trenches dug - lines were laid and tested - all within a day. Next came the landscaping material for the flower and shrub beds. At Red's suggestion he took me to a couple of nurseries and guided me in the selection of materials - which I appreciated - but was then told later after everything had been planted - that I had no guarentee on the plants living (normally a year) since I was the one who bought them. The sod came next and the crew was efficient in putting it down. However, several areas throughout both the front and back yards still had dead grass in them from the Roundup and the trenches dug through the "good" grass that I didn't remove now had either dead grass or bare dirt laying on the top of them - in addition - all the areas between the "old" remaining grass and the "newly sodded grass (what I call the transition area) had distinct drop-offs between the two grasses and the irrigation lines just had mounds of grass that had been removed to dig the trench - placed back on top of them. NOTHING was rolled, tamped down or smoothed out so the yard would look smooth and professionally done. Red's answer to all these issues was "it will look OK - give it time". I'm sorry - but when a professional landscaping firm walks away from a job - it had better look OK THEN - not later. Additional issues I haven't mentioned just added to the rating given here: 1) one of their workers was caught urinating inside my crawl space under the house - 2) they sodded over top of my water meter - 3) an irrigation line was left exposed on top of the concrete pad to my crawl space so I couldn't open the door without cutting the line in two - 4) the drain box that had been installed to draw surface water away from my driveway was installed 4/5 inches below ground surface so the drainage water erroded soil beneath the sod - need I go on??Most of these complaints were addressed / corrected but they were all found by me - not the landscaper or crew - and only after repeated request to "make things right" were they corrected. Today, I purchased a TAMP and spent the better part of the day trying to smooth the yard. Tomorrow I will purchase and lay the Bermuda sod to replace the neighbors sod that got sprayed with Roundup and that Red said he would replace.

He is so honest. He did a great job on my yard. The whole landscaping project was set up over the phone. I highly recommend him. Originally the bid was higher than what I paid for but he was honest about it.
Description of Work: He came and spread mulch in my yard and didn't ruin any of my plantings.
