I was very pleased with the results

I hired this company to remodel a very small bathroom and replace flooring. I had to wait double the amount of time promised to start the project! If I had not called them I would have never been updated on very much! WHEN the contractor did start the work they would come one day for a couple of hours and then say they would be back tomorrow and then when tomorrow came it was another excuse for why they would not be back that day! I would DEFINITELY not recommend them!

At first I gave them a bad review because of the person they sent to do the work. After talking to the owner and his team I understood a little more of what went into this project. It was not a simple project to begin with and I was a little frustrated that it was taking so long. After sending other people to finish the project my bathroom is coming along nicely. They are even fixing the mistakes the first person made. Over all the team is very nice and easy to work with. Being a recently widowed woman Tim met me at Floor & Decor to help me with the items I needed to buy. He let me pick what I wanted but was there for guidance. He personally brought over a niche to put in my shower and sent picture of shower faucets I might like.

The quality of work promised at signing was not delivered. The company subcontracted all the work so there is little in the way of quality control; workmanship was not craftsman level. The crew did not follow code requirements for the installation. We had to have the carpenter return to make major corrections to the installation. The company was more concerned with being paid than the quality of the installation. I would not recommend Surface Bella to anyone considering engaging with them based upon our experience.

They built a deck for us. The workers (subcontractors ) were in a rush and were sloppy with their work. I had to correct them on more than one occasion. When they finished after 2 days work I complained to the administration. They said they would correct my grievances, (mainly posts that needed to be shimmed because the cuts were incorrectly made). They never came back to fix the issue. I did it myself.

Initial crew that did the work did a VERY sloppy job. Painters tape clearly not used to create straight edges, coating was spread out unevenly leaving areas that sloped up and down (whereas the concrete floor was relatively flat before). I must commend Scott who sent a second crew than came out twice himself to try and make it right, however very frustrating having to point out the deficiencies of the work myself rather than them realizing it and fixing it themselves.

Surface Bella did a great job building my deck.

They were very professional,polite, and respectful of us and our home while working. They reccomended a couple of changes which worked out great.

Bathroom turned out great.

Fabulous job on an add-on screened-in porch extension of concrete patio from small slab, shingled, added beautifully to the back of the house as if it were part of the original build. Extended patio also has a beautiful built-in firepit. The crews were great to work with. would hire again.

The workmanship was great! The only problem was getting them to come back & clean up. Next time I will hold out some money & not pay the the whole balance until cleanup is complete.

The subcontractor for pouring concrete is only part of the job that is completed. The surface will not be completed until concrete cures.

Mr. Scott is returning to our home for the final inspection of Tanner & Will work that was done.

Good communication and the work was done well and the contractor was courteous.

I hired this company a while back. A few things happened. We had two contracts written up. Contract one was for concrete work, foundation work as well as some demolition work. They had workers that came out and did some work. Not as good as I would have hoped. I have the pictures to prove it. I wish I could post them here. There are places that are missing concrete, the wall is separate, and wood is still in the wall. I thought they would come back and fix it. I paid for contract one even though I thought that the work that was done was not worth it. However, I was told that in order to finish contract one, we needed to go move on to contract two, with much of the demolition work done first before they could finish contract one. I said ok. I then go to get my contract two signed and have them start up on it. First I had someone come in and talk to me. They basically told me that the guy they had working for them was no longer with the company. The guy that was doing my original contract. They said he underbid the project and that they were going to need an additional $8,000 to $12,000 to continue on with the next contract. I told him that I did not think that it was my issue, that it was bid that way and that they should honor that contract. Upon hearing this he just said Well, I am not going to sign off on the second contract, and he left the room. So here I am with unfinished work at my property. I let it go through the pandemic. Because I knew they were hurting for people, and plus everything was so expensive at the time. We (both sides) decided to hold off and wait until things started to get better. I finally got back in touch with them a few months ago. Had someone come out and take a look at the project. This time to do everything. Not just the concrete and framing, but to basically build the house. I had drawings, plans, etc. They asked me to get a structural engineer to come out and take a look and give their ok on it. I did that, they came out, and everything looked good. I got back with Surface Bella to let them know what the Structural engineer said. I did not hear back from them for weeks. Finally, I get a call back from one of their employees who basically tells me Sorry, that we are not going to do the job but they have a few people in the are that they could contact that may be able to do it. I was like, Wait, what do you mean that you guys are not doing that job? He said they had sent you an email saying they were not going to do the job. I told him I had not heard from anyone telling me this, and that this was the first time hearing about it. He said he gave me the name of someone and that that person should be calling me soon. I never heard from that person. So now I am starting all over again. I have a few companies lined up to come out and take a look at the work. Hoping I can find someone that: 1. will do the job that they say they will do. 2. Do it at the price they say. 3. Has a better way of communication.

Surface Bella proved to be an excellent company. Jose Ruiz, Craig, Tito, and Nick were all very attentive to my project, despite many challenges along the way. Kimberly was awesome in keeping me informed of the status/progress of my build. Each of these persons were readily available to me via phone, text, or email. They built me a quality, screened sunroom on an existing deck which is beautiful. This build took longer than expected, BUT only because of Covid related delays in shipping materials.

Be sure to check all aspects of your quote to make sure it meets all of your requirements & requests.

Our front porch is now in contract time to order our materials, the office has called me with any updates, will keep you posted on the progress, thank you.

Beware of the contract. It states that nothing the salesman says orally is binding. Scott promised the moon on my deck-build. He said that they use no subcontractors, hand picked the wood, and would provide me a detailed plan. Those are misrepresentations of what happened on my job. I have a great deck today, but I had to argue and insist on most every point. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. There is a dire need for customer service at this company. Not recommended.
