Mark Wenninger

Mark was the first provider to contact me about the tree service inquiry. He arrived at my house as scheduled three days later and was able to perform the work as requested. We agreed on pricing prior to starting work and I was satisfied with the number. He was professional and gave really great tips and information about tree care and pruning. He stacked the pile of limbs neatly by the curb and gave me advice on how to rot the stumps. I would call him again for additional work and recommend him to a friend.

This went very well. He trimmed away a lot of small branches that were touching the house. He trimmed additional branches that opened up the view of the marsh. He removed a small tree whose branches interfered with the walkway and trimmed the lower dead branches of two palm trees. All of the branches and debris were stacked beside the side of the road. After he was through he said he would remove some dead small branches coming off a large branch without extra charge because he thought it improve the view. He was very pleasant, professional and polite.

It was fantastic! Mark was extremely courteous and professional. He did exactly what I needed in a very short order. All limbs removed and taken to road in less than 3 hours. Great service at a great price! I would definitely use him again!

I recently purchased a home with landscaping that had gone unchecked for a dozen years and I am slowly reclaiming its potential- some jobs me, others with help. I first used Mark to prune my pine trees, he called me right back, came within 2 or 3 days quoted the job at a very fair price and gave the option to begin work right away- which made sense as we were both standing there! He and his team cut the offending limbs, leaving my landscape trees free of debris, and was careful not to drop anything on plantings below. He was very neat in gathering up all wood, branches etc etera and carted it away. The second time I used Mark was on September 1 ( today) where he asked me to write an honest review (on Angie's list) . Mark priced this job when he was here the last time. He and his team dug up/ mowed down about 30 yards of overgrown ground over . They removed, saplings, rotted stumps, to take it to ground level. They removed ingrown weed trees from azaleas and downsized existing shrubs by half. He did the heavy lifting to get these projects ready for maintenance. This was also necessary to clear the way to plant 2 trees. Mark, knows his stuff and can help in deciding the scope of these overhaul projects for me. He was also helpful in planting the trees and giving watering advice taking into account the slope of the land, shade, and drainage.

We scheduled this service this morning after coming back into town, he made it out the day of and was very accommodating. We had some other work that needed done but based off his estimate we cannot afford it at this time, however we definitely plan to call him back out for other projects very soon.

Great experience would have Mark and his team back for projects in the future. Trimmed branches and limbs on several large trees and cleaned the gutters of our two story home. Professional and timely and pricing was very reasonable for work performed.

He came an hour late and didn't have the correct equipment to do the job, he wasn't professional at all and no manors at all. And I wouldn't use him in the future.

Requested yard to be mowed & trimmed,,small trees cut & planting areas weeded. He cut the trees fine but used a weedeater to cut, trim , and weed. Not happy with the results at all. Will not use in the future.

I purchased a coupon for $199 to cover $400 worth of work. At the outset, scheduling was a problem. He told me in our initial phone call that I "should not leave the work to be done so late in July" and insisted on coming earlier in the month. He said he would be there to complete the work this past Monday. When he arrived, it turned out to be a walk through and not a day of actual work. I showed him where we needed vines cut and our back yard cleared out. He agreed to have it in "tip top shape." I explained we had been ripped off in the past (we paid someone $600 for work that was not completed and another $400 to come back and repair the work. Even THAT wasn't done properly). So Mark assured me the same would not happen. He asked to schedule for 9:00 a.m. Friday, where he would bring two other individuals with him to complete the work. On Friday, Mark arrived an hour late without help. He finished the work in two hours. When Mark visited my home and walked through it with me, we discussed a few trees to be trimmed and some vines that needed to come down. I will say - he did complete the work on most of the vines except one that I just saw on the right, and removed the vines from most of the trees in danger. He also told me he took his chainsaw to some of the stumps in the back yard. When we did our original walk through, we discussed "tip top shape" as brush removal, stump removal, and possibly hauling in dirt to create some equal footing in the backyard. He told me it would be clean, walkable, smooth, and perfect for the fence we were having installed. He said it would be useable space, and in "tip top shape," because he was a perfectionist. I agreed to this work, and he told me it would be an extra $200. He told me he would take care of the weeds while he was there, just because it would be easy to do at the same time. When I reviewed the completed work...only two hours after he began the work...I found something very different than our agreement. He said the hardest work was the manicuring of the yard - something I was originally told was just an add on. When he walked the yard with me, I noticed he weed whacked everything that was originally standing and told me I would need to spray it to keep them from coming back. Understood, but not all weeds were removed and taken out of the bushes. Instead, they were weed whacked and left there. He told me they would die off, so not to worry. He asked if my husband had a leaf blower, as there was a great deal of dirt from ditches he dug around the grass (which I still don't understand. It actually looks worse than before). So, again...more work for us. We reviewed the back yard where our fence is to be placed, and it looks no different than before. He told me it was "90% there," and all that would be left was the easy part - raking it and hauling it to the street. And if you want to bring in some dirt, that might help level it out." Well, in my mind, I thought that's what the $400 was for. That's what we agreed on. By the time we finished the walk through, I realized I was yet another female who was duped. And I felt the stress of our budget get tighter - money we have worked so hard to save and to contribute to our first ever house together - about to exit once more for work that was not complete. I believe Mark and his team are capable of tree removal and tree care, but as it relates to big jobs of full landscaping, I'd recommend a different provider. I am so tired of hearing people tell me "I'm getting such a deal." The reason we find services like this on Angie's List is because my husband works close to 90 hours a week, and I travel two weeks a month for work. All we need is some help....some help with the things we can't always do. I thought Angie's List would be a place to find that help, but so far most providers have not completed what was originally asked. We will be discontinuing our account with Angie's List.

There was still a lot of clippings and trimmings I had to clean up myself.

Mr Wenninger called me promptly and came out within a few days. He arrived exactly when he was due and started work. He was very nice and did the work in about 2 1/2 hours. They worked fast and he let me know what they were doing along the way. He gave me some advice on killing the root on the tree he cut down so it wouldn't keep growing as it was getting too close to my foundation. Would hire him again.

Mark was excellent. I called him on a Thursday and he said he would be by on Memorial Day, if that was ok, to provide an estimate. I said that was fine. He showed up and gave a very fair estimate and was willing to do the work right then. He had one additional worker with him and they worked non-stop. Great work. Mark accomplished everything he said he would in the quote, plus more. I will definitely use Mark in the future.

I phoned Mark in the morning about 9am with an immediate answer. He was at my house by 11, gave me an estimate and proceeded to do the work right away. He took the stumps to the ground so they could be mowed over and gave me tips on how to work the landscaping around them. He hauled all of the debris neatly to the street (for city pickup) and left my yard clean an neat. He was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. I had tried another landscape service in early June. They came out to view the area but as of this date, I still don't have their estimate or plan! I'm SO glad I called Mark. His price for the amount of work he did was exceptional. I would definately recommend him and use him again.

Mr. Wenninger came to my home to trim some branches and cut down a big shrub that died over the winter. He was very prompt and was on time for our scheduled appointment at 10am. I showed him which tree branches needed to be cut down and which shrub needed to be removed. He spent a great deal talking about other branches that may need to be cut down as well. I agreed to those reaching near my home and over my roof. When he came to let me know he was done and ready to leave (at 12:10pm) I came outside to observe the work. I was horrified to see that he had cut down my Japanese Maple in which I planted and cared for over the years. I asked why he did that and his reply was "oh I must have been confused about what you wanted", I asked him when he was going to replace it and he said he wasn't and I needed to pay him an additional $200 for cutting it down. I was crying when he came to my door to collect his check and he said "well, you can't take it with you" and proceeded to call me an old lady. I asked him about his license and who he was insured with so I could have my tree replaced and he advised me he wasn't. I handed him a check and he left. He then came back and said I needed to make it out to his name not Mark Wenninger Tree Service because the bank won't cash it. I was so distraught that I did as he asked so he would leave.

Initially he was condescending and difficult to deal with. He did not even bring a ladder. He said it would take an hour and he was done in 30 minutes. He spent most of the time criticizing my yard and other plants attempting to get more money out of me.

Mr. Wenninger was an absolute pleasure to work with; I wish he did more than trees, as I would happily hire him to do any job! His courtesy and professionalism are exceptional. After I purchased the deal on Angie's List, Mr. Wenninger reached out to me promptly to schedule the work. He arrived a little early and asked me to describe to him exactly what I wanted to have done. He listened carefully and then asked further questions to ensure that we were on the same page, pointing out areas of concern and informing me of how different approaches in pruning the tree would impact future growth rates and patterns. He then went to work and paused only once the job was done, when he requested that I inspect the work to ensure that everything was completed to my satisfaction. Mr. Wenninger is obviously quite knowledgeable in his field, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. As an added bonus, in addition to my being pleased with the results of his work, his kindness and old-school manners put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

The provider came to my house and did an ok job when putting down the mulch, but he killed almost all of my lilly's and I had a lot. He cut my cable wires and I was out of cable for 3 days because I had to wait on direct TV to come out and figure out the problem.

Note that mark is not a professional arborist, but rather a farmer. If you know that going in, he will give you results commensurate with your expectations

Mark is a perfectionist and exceeded my expectations. Initially I thought he was a bit expensive but I had no idea how well groomed the entire lot would look upon completion ... Almost like a park. He took all the trees down flush to the ground so there would not be any hidden stumps on the entire property. All of the cuttings were hauled out to street side for pickup and all I had to do was enjoy the new view of my property. Mark is a considerate, respectful, grateful, and professional individual. I would not hesitate to use him again. He will not disappoint, and he will almost certainly leave you with a smile on your face. ?

It did not go well with this provider. He was prompt to respond and made appointment to come the next day between 1:00 and 2:00, however, he did not come and did not call until 4:30 to let us know he would have to reschedule. He informed us that the $199 would cover cutting the tree down. We rescheduled for the next day between 2:00 and 3:00. He did show up, but advised us the cost would be $600, which was quite a bit more than initially quoted. We advised him to forget it and we would contact Angies List. I would not recommend this person to anyone. He is very unreliable.

I believe Mr. Wenninger is a perfectionist. My back lot looks great! He cleared out all the underbrush and saplings as well as trimmed tree branches and pulled vines out of the taller trees. Plus he charged a very fair price. I am very very satisfied and will call him again if I need to.

Mark did an excellent job! Our yard looked like a jungle before he arrived. Now I can see our house again. Mark is very kind and extremely professional. I highly recommend him.

I contacted Mark based on all the positive reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. From my first contact with Mr. Wenninger to the job completion, he did exactly what he said he was going to do, make my yard look beautiful. He was polite and professional and even though the work took longer than anticipated, he did not complain. He removed a massive amount of leaves from the property which were dropped by the two huge live oaks, he mowed the front and back yards and trimmed all the bushes beautifully. He also removed a bunch of trash that had been scattered about during the move-out of the previous tenant. I will definitely be using his service again.

Mark was very prompt and professional. Everything went extremely well. Will use again.
