 + -1 moreThe price was right, Don is a good southern guy. Replaced the roof quickly, no problems.....until an independent inspector came up with numerous problems when I went to sell the house. Misaligned shingles, exposed nails. He begrudgingly fixed them, added a warranty but then completely blew me off on my new house. Strung me along for a solid month, would not respond to calls or emails. Was a complete waste of time, very unprofessional, and made my move a nightmare. He is cheaper, but its because he never steps foot on a roof, but uses low-skilled labor to do it all. Spend a little more and use someone with an office presence.....
Description of Work: Installed an asphalt roof on my old house and quoted a metal roof for my new house.

 + -1 moreStarted a week later than quoted. Crew would work one day, then disappear for a week at a time. Time from start to "we're finished" was almost six weeks. General contractor reviewed work and found numerous shortcuts, code violations and indications of shoddy construction. Old shingles were never removed - just shingled over. Slope of new roof lower than agreed upon. Too many problems to list here. I contacted company after this report and detailed the items needing attention before the second 50% payment would be made for a "finished" job. I was told they wouldn't be coming back, have a nice day. Which, I guess means these guys don't want to finish the job for the remaining $3200.
Description of Work: Remove and replace all shingles and sheathing from existing roof; replace part of existing roof with higher pitch; clean up and haul away all debris; do job in three days.
