+ -1 moreIt was long and drawn out, and I suspect he was doing "other" things upstairs rather than plumbing. For what he did, he highly overcharged me. Maybe because I am a "dumb woman," he felt he could take advantage of me. I live on my Social Security and I'm tired of people doing this. Because people have some age on them does not give others the right to take advantage of them. I am so glad Angie's List gives us a place to warn others. Get a estimate in writing! Watch what they are doing! Don't trust anyone!
Description of Work: There was a leak in the kitchen and the bedroom ceiling. It took Phillip Causey and his helper the entire day to cut a a jagged hole in the bedroom and the kitchen. He had told me before he started the work that it would be less far less than $1,000. His diagnoses was that the pipes were not firmly tightened. He then presented me with the invoice for $1,200.00, and said he would be back the next day to cover the holes for an additional $500.00. I told him to forget it that I would make other arrangements. Shortly after I got the holes fixed I noticed that in the bedroom the water stain was spreading. Now I am paying someone else $1,800.00 plus because they haven't finished, but I do think these people know what they are doing. Mr. Causey had no idea-he just wanted as much money as he could get his hands on. It turned out to be the hot water heater. Now I have to worry about what happened to the condo downstairs! Thank you Mr. Causey!
