My only hiccup was the pricing.
After surveying the work to be done he wrote the quote of $148. on a plain piece of paper. When I asked about a seniors or Angie?s List discount he said that he couldn?t discount an already discounted price. (??). I was expecting a price of ~$84. (with a fee for ceilings over 10? ? as advertised on Angie?s website).
Totally absurd price for the work done. The 2 techs did not even have a wall switch or junction box in the truck and both of them had to go to Lowe's to get the parts. to finish the job. The wall switch was installed crooked and I had to fix it the best I could after they left. This was a very simple installation since all the wall wiring was already installed and the only new wiring was to run a 25 foot line in the attic. This is a stand up attic and the junction boxes and wiring are visible and accessible. We had just moved in to a new home and I really felt like we were taken advantage of. I would never recommend Mr.Sparky to anyone.
I was very pleasantly surprised that I received a phone call from Mr. Sparky as follow-up to this review that I wrote 2 years after the work was done. He was very professional, listened to what I had to say, and apologized for the overcharge by his employees. He said that he was sorry that he did not catch this at the time the service was performed. He promised me that I would be receiving a check in the mail for $393. The next week I received the check. I still feel that this was a high price to pay for the work done, but I am very impressed that Mr. Sparky followed through on my complaint. I have never heard of any company making restitution like this 2 years after the work was done."Mr. [Member Name Removed] I am sorry to hear that you felt taken advantage of by Mister Sparky. We strive to offer great customer service to all of our customers and at times we do fall short. Fortunately with services like Angie's List my company has the ability to learn and hopefully correct those mistakes. Our pricing is standardized but we still make occasional mistakes on how items are priced. This may be one of those cases but a conversation will better tell me if we charged appropriately or not. From the review it does appear that an upgrade was chosen and on the other items I may not have all the information needed to determine our pricing. I look forward to speaking with you soon."

Brian will be doing the recommended work in the near future. He is through, cautious, know the codes and is aware of the complexities involving 3 phase house wiring.
He did such an excellent job I will have no other electrician in my mom's house or in mine.
