I dropped off chainsaw to get it repaired. I hadn't started it in a few years and it wouldn't start - not really a surprise. I figured it needed a tune up anyway, so I took it to Young's. When I took it in, the guy that works the parts counter was busy talking to the cashier in the front of the store. So I waited patiently for about fifteen minutes. He finally moseyed back to the parts and repair counter. He said they could work on it and wouldn't take long. I gave it to him, he entered it into the system, then told me it would be about four weeks. I was a little discouraged that he waited until then to tell me the four week part, but whatever, I wasn't in a hurry. Four weeks later, I call them to find out if the chainsaw was ready. It was, it had been for two days.... so I drove over and picked it up. Waited about ten minutes for someone to come to the parts and repair counter, and finally someone showed up and went and found my chainsaw. They brought it up, the man tells me, "Yeah, it was just flooded." Okay, just flooded shouldn't be a big bill - wrong!! They charged me $150 to work on it. Good grief! Now, they did do a tune-up, or sorts, on it, but still, $150 is entirely too much for a chainsaw tune-up. Nonetheless, I pay them, disgustingly, and go home. I get home and proceed with the job I started a month earlier, cutting down a dead tree in the backyard. I start it, it smokes like crazy - it never did that before. I let it run and it starts to go away. Okay, not ideal, but it's working. I start to cut the tree down, so I turn the chainsaw sideways, as you do when cutting a standing tree, and gas started spraying everywhere. I shut it off. What else can you do at that point? I don't know what these people did, but they didn't "fix" anything. I will never give them business again. Now I have to take the chainsaw to someone that actually knows what they're doing to fix whatever it is they broke. I'm not even wasting my time taking it back to them to fix it, they'll just make it worse. They turned a flooded chainsaw issue into a gas spraying fountain. I wouldn't recommend getting a wrench fixed at this place, and I wouldn't recommend buying anything from that business.
