WHIT-ASH FURNISHINGS INC

Let me preface this review by saying: I will gladly follow-up and change this review should the conclusion of my furniture buying experience with Whit-Ash Furnishings be better than it has been so far. My wife and I were back at her home town on Lake Murray and were looking for a new bedroom set. I am an officer in the Army, newly stationed at Ft Bragg, NC and we had our entire house put together aside from our master bedroom. Her family had bought from Whit-Ash so we gave it a shot. After looking at all of the selections, we bought a new bedset for just over $2k and added in an additional delivery fee to have the furniture delivered to our house at Ft Bragg. The furniture was purchase on Dec 30th, and we were told that it would be delivered in just over three weeks on January 23rd. We were excited because they said they would give us a “special” delivery fee since i was in the military, and gladly handed over the nearly $2,600.00. Fast forward three weeks and we had heard nothing about our furniture, and it has been very clear that the “special delivery fee” for being in the military was in fact just a “cheap delivery fee, so we can change our mind on the delivery date”. Our furniture was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and we had not heard anything from Whit-Ash on a delivery confirmation. Finally, I called the store and after about 10 minutes on the line my order was finally recovered in paper form after digging around. All I was told is “sorry your salesman didn’t tell us, so it will he delivered in another week”. Mind you— I start a covid quarantine next week prior to leaving for a 5 week long army reconnaissance course. So cheers to sleeping with our laundry on the ground and on an old mattress for another seven days. It is obvious that our salesman only cared about the commission from the sale and not the follow-through to make sure the customer is taken care of. I would love to change my review, but I have no furniture and a lack of $2,600 in my bank account.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I recommend going SOMEWHERE else... They will rip you off of tons of money and then lie to you before and after. We bought what WE WERE TOLD was "Real 100% Genuine Leather" a little after a year later the FAKE LEATHER RIPPED!!!!!!! And they refused to help us because we did not have a receipt OVER A YEAR LATER!!! We looked under the couch and found a tag... THE F**** COUCH IS POLYESTER!!!!!!!!! F*** THOSE A**HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shopping at Whit-ash is always a great experience. I appreciate the great prices and the friendliness of the staff. As always, the sales staff were available and ready to help in any way.

The place is very large with every type of furniture known to mankind I believe. Tons of salespersons and you are quickly approached when you walk in. They introduce themselves and will walk with you, or give you "alone time" if you prefer. Doug was our salesman and he was excellent. He went the extra mile to get our furniture delivered ahead of time. Delivery went smoothly and the crew was prompt and courteous. I will definitely be going back there for future furniture needs.

Their customer service is great, their prices are very competitive, and delivery and set up was excellent and timely!
