I cannot say enough good things about Walter's Appliance!! Our oven stopped working and based on previous experience with a different appliance, I contacted Walters Appliance via their website, after hours. Almost immediately, I received a call from Ray to clarify the problem and said his office would call the next morning to schedule an appointment; which they did. In a separate call the same morning, Ray called to explain the repair may be costly and gave me a price range. I asked about repairing vs replacing an older range and his suggestion was to repair. But, he explained he wanted to be upfront about the possible cost. In a second phone call the same day, Ray called to explain one of the possible fixes is no longer made. He suggested not repairing as the fix would be costly and the second item may soon be needed; thus money spent for repair would be lost. Thank you Ray for your honesty, for communication by phone vs coming out to tell us and charging a service fee. Because of honesty, integrity and amazing customer service, Walters Appliance is our first call for any needed repairs.

Ray walked us through the process of completing our dryer fix. Very courteous and professional and only charged for gas since he didn’t do any physical labor.

Although he diagnosed problem over phone and ordered and showed up with necessary part, when he started the machine, he discovered another problem that would be prohibitively expensive to repair. I appreciated his advice to buy a new machine instead, as obviously that advice was against his own interests. Moreover, he could have fixed the problem I knew about, as I wouldn’t have known about the expensive issue if he hadn’t told me. He’s honest and competent—just what you want!

My GE refrigerator stopped cooling. I emailed Mr. Walters on Sunday afternoon & he called me in less than an hour. By the next afternoon, refrigerator was fixed. Very reasonable price. Dependable, honest and knowledgeable. Will definitely use again.

Mr. Walters provided outstanding service. When I called him to report the issue and before setting up the service appointment, he was very knowledgeable. He seemed to have a very good assessment of what my problem might be even before he made the service call. There was only a brief wait (a day or so) between my call to him and when he could get to my home and make the repair. He arrived at the time that was promised, and he accurately addressed the problem. He thoroughly explained the work that he was going to do in terms that I could understand. He was also very friendly, and my dog even liked him! She usually barks at every repair or maintenance worker who visits our home. From a conversation that we had, I gained the impression that he is honest and conducts his business with great integrity. I would definitely recommend him to others, and I'll absolutely call him again if I need appliances serviced!

The man who owns it has died. His son has taken over. His son is very nice. I haven't had him out yet.

Great Also, he came out to check my dishwasher and nothing was wrong and he did not charge me I have recommended him to a friend

Mr. Walters resolved the problem appropriately... in our initial call, he walked me through some diagnostic steps (which would have saved time if that had been enough to identify the problem... He came the same afternoon I called -- arriving within thirty minutes of the estimated time (which was just fine)... ... and once on site, fixed it without further complications. Excellent service -- will use as needed again!

Called Ray that morning and he was out late that afternoon. Quickly diagnosed that we had ice build up under the freezer drawer that prevented the bottom of the drawer from sealing completely allowing moisture to enter the freezer. The ice was caused by a leak from a defective water filter that had since been removed. Since the door could not close completely moisture was getting into the freezer and making the problem worse. Ray thawed the compartment completely and made sure the door seal was tight. And as a good professional Ray called back the next day to make sure the problem was not reoccurring. He is now in my contacts list.

I came home on Sunday night to find all of my food in the freezer was no longer frozen. Of all the many people I called, Ray was the only one who seemed concern, and came out the very next day. Everyone else couldn't come until a week or so. When I called him Sunday night he was even willing to give me some advice (on the phone) of things to try on my own to see if it would fix the issue. Even though I had to call LG to come out, I would advice anyone to use Ray Walter. He really cared and tried to help. Very Professional too.

Ray is a very courteous and professional.

He said that he could fix it for $250 or that we might consider a new washer. We decided to buy a new one. We appreciated his honesty.

It went great. He arrived when he said and preformed the evaluation and work needed. He was polite and communicated well. He was good about telling me how to keep my washer and dryer in good repair through the proper use of soap and the loading of clothes. He communicated the cost up front and there were no surprises.

I called Walters after finding them on Angie's List on approximately Tuesday of this week and a nice helpful lady gave me an appointment for today, Friday, at 4 PM. She called me back to tell me that she could move my appointment up to this morning at 8 and I told her that was better yet. Each time I spoke with her I told her to be sure to have the service person call us for up-to-date directions to our house before leaving due to fluctuating road closings in our rural area related to our flood last weekend. 8 AM came and went, I got a call about 8:15 from Ray Walters saying he was having difficulty getting to us due to closed roads. I then gave him the directions to get here and he arrived about 20 minutes later. He asked me how my low-water HE Model washer had been acting, so I filled him in and left him to his work. I checked on him about 15 minutes later and he was on the phone getting a price on a new main computer module (the "brains" that run the washer). He said that his diagnostics pointed to that being the problem. When he told me that the cost was going to be over $300 just for that part and that didn't include the labor costs I decided immediately that it wasn't worth repairing it, even though the washer is only 5 years old. I told him I planned to shop for a new washer and wanted to go back to an agitator type washer, so he spent some time discussing pros and cons of various models, which I appreciated. He also suggested that instead of having the old washer picked up and sent to the landfill he would be happy to come back to pick it up, make the needed repair at his cost, then he would donate it to a charity and hopefully help out someone who had lost theirs in the recent flood. I liked that idea and plan to have him return for it early this week. I was charged $60 for his time and travel, which I thought was fair. I plan to keep his name and number for future need as I think his price is more reasonable than others in our area. Other than the delay in arrival, which was related to the unusual circumstances of roads being closed off at the present time, I was very satisfied.

Called to have the my refrigerator's water/ice system repaired. A part was replaced but problem was not fixed. Another part had to be ordered. Due to a misunderstanding, several weeks passed between the initial visit and the last visit on 4/15/2015. The second part was installed and everything seems to be working. I was not charged for the first part, which was not the problem. Because it took so long to get the second part installed, Walter's did not charge me a labor or trip charge. I was charged only for the second part. I thought this was very fair. Everything seems to be working fine now. This was the third time I have called Walter's for repairs and would call them again.

Great Job. This is the place to go for repairs.

It worked very well,l have not had any Problems with ice maker Since.

After opening up the machine, he determined that the move damage would cost more to repair than a new machine. He also noted that the repair done a year prior, by a different company, should never have been done since the repairs would not last because of the move damage. He suggested that I should purchase a new machine and gave his personal opinion on which brands would be a good fit with my needs.

They provided excellent service and I will use them again in the future.

My LG HE dryer was making a thumping sound that I could not get rid of by cleaning the vents. I was referred to Walter's Appliance by a Facebook friend and he came out the next day. He said he didn't fell the noise was a problem but since he was there he blew out the vent, cleaned it from the outside and tightened all the hoses. He also showed me how to clean the grates under my refriderator and the best soap to use in the dishwasher. The service call was $60. He said if he started to take the dryer apart he would have to charge me labor but because he didn't think there was a problem, he didn't need to do that. He told me how long it should take to dry a load of towles and told me to do a load that night....and he called the next day to see how it was working. I referred him to someone at work and he had him come out and fix his GE freezer.

The man showed early Advise me to buy a new Ref after he found what was wrong and fixed it ,But said the compressor is lock-up and it will burn the relay again so I took his advice

Mr. Walter fixed our Kenmore dryer. His service was excellent and charges were reasonable. He showed a really good understanding of how the appliance worked and had a methodical trouble shooting procedure that identified the faulty component. Scheduling was very convenient. Parts had to be ordered, so naturally that can take a day or two. But everything was finished in a reasonable time and the dryer worked perfectly after that. Yes I would use them again.

I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. He as to arrive at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday. By 6 p.m. he had not arrived or called. I called him and he indicated he would be at his present job for at least another hour and would not get to me until after 7:30 p.m. Since this was not convenient for me, we rescheduled for the following day at 10:30 a.m. By 11:30 a.m. he had not arrived or called. I called him and got voice mail.. So I left a message canceling. I think it is unprofessional and rude not to call a potential customer if you will be late.
