As all the work I've had Shuler Electric do, OUTSTANDING!

Set an appointment, left work on and extremely busy day, even called and left message to confirm. He never returned call or showed up.

George has provided excellent service the two or three times I've used him. The price is reasonable and I'd recommend him to others.

Very reasonable and I've been pleased. He is very reasonable in his price.

I needed this work done for the sale of the house by a licensed electrician. He showed up the next day, without a his work van, in casual attire. Was slow, unprofessional, required me to assist with the labeling, and charged me for time to go out and buy supplies which he admitted "if I had my van, I would have them with me." Was $75 to get him there, and the bill was $225, for $3 parts and labeling that I did. When I squawked about the bill, he lowered it to 200, and said to remember him when we move into the new house. **After he left, I saw that he had ripped down a shelf under the electrical box which he forgot to mention... Not impressed.

Mr. Shuler was on-time, extremely courteous, cleaned up after himself when the work was done, and did a great job. And all for a reasonable price. What more could you want?

I called and he came out the same day to do the work. I had problems with others not even returning my call. But with this service I received a call back within a few minutes and he was able to give me an estimate. Definitely would recommend to others. He did a great job.

He was great. He was very polite, and he said he would come out and look after the job he was working on. He got there 30-45 minutes after I called, and he had the stuff to do the job, so he did it right then. You couldn't ask for anything better. I would recommend him.

Went very well. Very pleased with his work. he threw in some extras also. After inspection, he came back out immediately and fixed bullet items.

Called Mr. Shuler and asked if he could come to my house and fix the problem. He said he was in the area on another job and it would be about an hour before he could be there. He called me back after about 10 minutes and said he would be there in 20 minutes. When he arrived it only took him less than 30 minutes to find the problem and fix it. Compared to other electrical people I have used Mr.shuler is by far the the only person I'll use.

My attic caught fire due to the motor of the exhaust fan catching fire. Because it was technically an electrical fire, the power company turned off the power. The fire department incorrectly told me that I needed an electrician to come in and verify that the power could be turned back on. Then I could contact the power company and schedule a service call to get it turned on. I called Shuler and told them what I needed. He came in and performed the work described above. Upon calling the power company the next day, however, they informed me that the electrician had to go to the county offices, obtain a permit and then an inspector from the county would come out and verify that the power could be turned back on. In my opinion, an electrician who had dealt with this before would have known that what I was saying was incorrect and would have told me the correct way to do things. I called him back and there was someone in the background screaming at him about $70 (that's all I heard). At this point, I completely lost confidence. He called back a few minutes later, and I told him what was supposed to happen. He immediately started arguing with me, blaming me for telling him the wrong thing. I did not continue to argue with him having already lost confidence in him. I terminated the call. This is the reason for the "D" grade of professionalism. The "F" grade for overall is because while he performed (what I assume to be) adequate service, I have to do everything again.

We found Mr. Shuler on Angie's list after a bad experience with a different electrician service. Mr. Shuler arrived on time to survey the work we wanted done. He gave us a price quote when he said he would. The price was eminently reasonable for the amount of work he was going to do. As the work was being done, he was very helpful in explaining the progress and in fixing odds-and-ends that were not even part of the original quote. Mr. Shuler worked dutifully the entire time he was at our home, arriving every day on schedule. Even though he did more work than we originally asked for a quote on, and even though it took him 2.5 days rather than 2.0 days to complete the work, he still stuck to his original price quote. The work was so well done, I voluntarily paid him more than he originally quoted us. Mr. Shuler is everything you want in an electrician: punctual, professional, and prideful in his work. Could not recommend his services more.

I contacted George Shuler on 7/30/2014 and left a message. He contacted me the very same day and scheduled an appointment for 8/1/2014. He indicated that he had another appointment in the area and would not charge me to come out because he was already in the area. On 7/31/2014, George called me and indicated that he had a cancellation and could come out immediately. At the same time it was brought to my attention, by my wife, that we had electrical issues covered under a home warranty. I immediately notified George of this new information. He was professional, told me that I was doing the right thing by using the home warranty service and said, "If they do not fix the issue, just give me a call." George is highly professional, true to his word, and I was extremely impressed with his communication. He did not do work for me, but gave me free sound advice. If it weren't for my prepaid home warranty, I would have used his services. I would use him in the future, no question!

I called Mr. Shuler this morning about having an outlet installed in my laundry room. He said he could come today after he finished his other call within 2 hours. He called and showed up within the time he specified, worked quickly and efficiently. He was very pleasant and professional. I would call him again for any other electrical needs. Thank you so much Mr. Shuler!

Excellent service, very pleasant man and service reasonably priced.

Mr. Shuler did some work for us in mid October (my review of 13 Oct 2013 refers), and we were so impressed, we knew he would be the electrician to do our "list" of repair items. He contacted us promptly by phone and completed the work on time. I am completely impressed by Mr. Shuler's knowledge, professionalism, and integrity. When we presented our work list to him, I indicated I'd buy the parts, since I had a discount card. When he actually got into the job, Mr. Shuler discovered that about $20 of parts I'd purchased were not necessary after all. I was able to return them, and save $20. And when he inspected the attic fan, and determined it to be beyond economical repair, that's exactly what he told me. Simply recommended that I shop for a new one. I recommend him highly, and have already passed his phone number to neighbors who need electrical work.

Mr. Shuler kept me clearly informed on what day he would come, and in fact, left a voice mail offering to come a day earlier than originally planned. Unfortunately, I did not check my messages early enough to accept. He called ahead on the actual day, advising me that he was en route, so I was well prepared. After determining what work was needed, he started immediately. The new light was installed quickly. Mr. Shuler even took the time - on his OWN, understand - to go to a home supply store and purchase four new light tubes (which I had not even thought of doing). He gave me the sales receipt, so I knew the exact cost of the lamps. The job was completed quickly, neatly and professionally. I was completely satisfied with his work, courtesy, and friendliness. After the job was complete, we discussed my "electrical repair list". We agreed on costs and requirements, and I plan to call Mr. Shuler in the near future to do the work. I recommend him highly!

Mr. Shuler showed-up on-time and completed the work in about 2.5 hours (which seemed to be a reasonable amount of time). He clearly communicated what was needed for him to complete the job, and worked well with the painters who were also working in the room. As usual, Mr. Shuler did a great job. He's a very nice man, and he has turned into our go-to guy for electrical jobs.

Mr. Shuler came on short notice and not only fixed the issue we had, but explained why the issue was occurring. We would definitely use Mr. Shuler again and we recommend him to anyone who needs quality electrical and a reasonable price.

I called Mr. Shuler at 11am on a Friday fully expecting him to make an appointment for next week. He said he would be here by 1pm that day and was. He was extremely professional both on the phone and in person. I thought he would look over the job and perhaps return next week to do the work. However, Mr. Shuler came prepared to do the job with everything he would need with him and promptly went to work. It was not the easiest since he had to work in the crawl space beneath our raised patio. He reworked the wiring and relocated the box so that, if tripped, I can reach it easily without climbing under the patio to get it reset. He also repaired an outlet on the patio that had not worked in some time. Overall the experience was wonderful. We are so happy to have our pond and waterfall working again. We felt the cost was quite reasonable and will not hesitate to call Mr. Shuler again. To call someone and have them come and do the repairs the same day is extraordinary. I didn't know that happened any more.

The service I requested was for wiring a dock but Mr Shuler did something else he favored (easy money) and left. I ended up by spending $200 to get the electric pannel moved 3/4' higher in position. If Mr Shuler is slightly responsible, he should have declined the services for all. I thought he came to wire the dock but he only moved the pannel (his suggestion and we did not request). I just joined Angieslist as a member a couple of weeks ago. Initially I thought I found a good place for recommending service providers I need. The rating system with Angieslist would make some honest people stand out. The results so far are not very encouraging. Mr Shuler quoted a good price initially but tried to jack it up afterwards. Another A+ rated provider quoted a much higher price than Mr Shuler's but his tactics was to convince me that only he can do the right job. He said most new houses he went would never pass the inspection if inspector did his/her job. well, I would say I still have faith in Angieslist but may not be so critic for service provider's rating in future. It looks like the rating alone can not tell the whole truth.
