I love her and I can't give her up. I have been seeing her for probably three years. She sees both me and my husband. She doesn't rush you through her office. She lets you talk to her and she actually listens to you. There is no ego involved. She is just a regular person. If she doesn't know exactly what to do, she sends you to the right kind of people. I would consider her a friend as well as a doctor. She is the kind of person that takes an interest in you- in your whole being. The nurse checks you in and they do your blood pressure but she usually does it again when she comes in because it tends to run high when you have pulmonary embolism. She is booked up solid but is very good at working me in each month when I need to see her for pulmonary embolism.
Description of Work: I have been seeing her once a month because I have a pulmonary embolism. I have been seeing her more frequently since I got that.

My family and I cannot say enough good things about Senior Primary Care. Dr. Roque-Nazario is the primary care physician for my mother and my father (before he passed last year). We also have had experience with other doctors in the practice when my mother was recently admitted to the hospital. Each doctor that we've encountered (Drs. Maylath, Matthews, C. Steen, and Leone) communicates extremely well with my mother and with us. Each one approaches my mother with genuine interest and concern for my mother's health issues and cares about her health and quality of life. We are thankful that we found such a helpful group of geriatricians, and I highly recommend the practice!
Description of Work: Most recently, my mother had a follow-up appointment from a recent hospital stay. As always, the visit was extremely pleasant and the physician and staff took wonderful care of her.

Although we had to wait a couple of months until they were taking patients again, it was well worth the wait. Everyone we've interacted with so far has been warm and respectful. The initial interview by the social worker was thorough; she was compassionate and professional. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: This was an initial visit; met with the social worker and nurse.

She's at the Senior Primary Care Practice. She's with the medical college. She's always timely and she is a caring person. She's just a really great doctor. Her office is topnotch. I would continue to go back to her in the future.

Description of Work: I've been a patient at this practice since 2/2010, and this was for my annual physical exam. In all the time I've been a patient I've had very positive experiences. The staff are cordial and good at explaining what they're doing and sharing results (BP, temp, etc.) My primary physician is a good listener and very thorough in my annual physical, as well as in follow-up visits. When she makes a referral to another service - x-ray, mammogram, etc. - her nurse calls me promptly with an appointment date. The practice is part of Palmetto Health, which includes two hospitals, a huge variety of connected providers and services, as well as a close association with the USC School of Medicine. Their medical records are noted directly into a computer and are available to other practitioners within their system, which means a sharp decrease in the amount of forms to fill out at affiliated providers, including the hospitals. They merely verify the information in previous reports and update if necessary, and the update becomes part of the record with my primary physician. Very efficient! At the end of my visit I receive a letter-style report from my doctor, noting what we talked about, referrals if needed, a review of my medications, and any other relevant information.Although I was 65 when I joined this practice (because I was so pleased with the care provided my mother, and their patients all receive Medicare) I know that I can remain with them the rest of my life. I have great confidence in the services, and well as in the care they continue to provide for my mother. Do go prepared the first visit to review your medical history and provide a thorough list of your medications - they ask that you bring the bottles to each visit, but I've found that if I have an accurate list that has name of drug, dosage and dosage schedule, and prescribing physician, I don't need to bring the bottles. I imagine this has more to do with my age and memory, etc. and the number of drugs I take; they have a large number of patients whose memories are not "young" at all.
