air duct cleaning

Description of Work: I got a coupon in the value pack for 69.95$4 to provide air duct cleaning to include 10 vents plus a free main trunk. They came to my home and brought in all of this equipment. They took one vent down in the bathroom and brought it to me and told me i had mold in my vents. They checked nothing else. One of the guys wrote up an estimate and told me it would cost me 895.00$ to remove the mold from my home. I assumed the Val Pak Coupon would at least pay for the consultation(actually it stated it would clean air ducts) , but the young man insisted I pay them 69$ for coming out so the coupon was useless. I have recently had another company come to check for mold and was told I had no MOLD. This company is should be reported for giving information that was incorrect to have me spend more money with them. I also feel they were wrong to charge me. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. They were not professional in their appearance not in the way they conducted themselves. They lied about my home having mold, and still charged me for the visit even though I had the $69.95 coupon.

air duct cleaning
+ -1 moreGot a coupon for air duct cleaning in the mail, and decided to try them out. The coupon is for $70, but I knew my house is large(ish), so the cleaning would be more expensive. Got a quote of about $200 over the phone, and made an appointment. The guy came, looked at my ducts, claimed they are full of mold, and quoted me $1800 (minimum) or $7000 (recommended). I called the (more expensive) competition instead. They came, declared my system in good shape, no mold, and did a comprehensive cleaning for $800 (ducts and heat pumps, and everything else). I'm happy with a competition, and feel that "SEA restorations" was trying to rip me off.
