Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They claim to be available 24/7 for emergency calls. I had an emergency and called at 10pm. The phone service said they were texting the on call technician, and I'd hear back in a few minutes. No one called me back until 10am the next day. 12 hours for emergency response is unacceptable when I have a leak that needs immediate attention, and your business claims to always answer calls and respond after hours.

The job and customer service were excellent

Very responsive and friendly with a fair price. The actual plumber, Bobby, was extremely helpful.

Initial appointment was cancelled because of an emergency elsewhere. When contractor came he was on time and courteous. Very professional. Explained what he was doing to me and completed the job to my satisfaction. Cost seemed too high though.

The service was prompt, The technician Bobby was outstanding and very trustworthy, A TRUE professional. All parts were available on his service truck. The replacement was quick and he ensure that everything worked. I was very impress with the visit.

Charged $840!!! just to find the leak under my driveway. I already pointed out where the leak was but they insisted that visual was not accurate and a leak detector would pinpoint it exactly. Well, it was exactly where I said it was. Then they wanted another $2500 to fix it. I called Franklin D Plumbing and they repaired it for $607, everything included. I paid less for Franklin D to repair it than Roto-Rooter did to find it!! Ridiculous isn't it?!! I think it's called a rip o...!

Plumber came out that same day. He tighten up washer hook up and plastic sprinkler timer around faucet outside. Said everything was fixed. Told me I couldn't use coupon. After he left, washer hook up was still leaking and when I turned faucet on, the plastic timer broke apart, shooting water everywhere. I had to replace it. I had to call another plumber to fix issues.

Sewage immediately backed up into the house again and I called a local plumber to complete the job. He called me within minutes and told me that there was no bottle in the line, but that the sewer utility had shut down the line, probably due to the previous occupants not paying their bill. This was confirmed within minutes with the utility. I contacted Roto Rooter again the following day and requested a refund due the total incompetence of their employees and was told that they did give a service in temporarily freeing the line. The local plumber said that nothing had flowed through that line and that the only relief was due to what ran out in the yard when the clean out cap was opened. A call to the sewer utility confirmed that it was Impossible for anything to have gone through the line. I contacted Roto Rooter AGAIN to ask them to verify that with the utility, but did not hear back. Roto Rooter did absolutely nothing but take a picture of something they could not even identify. The local plumber identified the problem, provided me with a picture, and charged about 30% of Roto Rooter''s cost, even though he went out on a cold and wet Sunday morning. I would have been satisfied if Roto Rooter had asked to keep $100 to pay their clueless crew for their time, but they steadfastly refused to even admit to a major screw-up. After having dealt with them, I fail to understand how they have any positive reviews on Angie's List. I would suggest that you find another solution over this over-priced and under-trained business.

We had guest in the downstairs basement bedroom and i went down to take some towels when i was hit by a horrible smell and sewage was flooding out of the small room where the lift station (pump) was. We threw some towels down to prevent the flow from going further and called 3 plumbers before I called Rotor-Rooter who was the only one able to come within the hour. The sewage was no longer flowing and we got everything effected out of the house. John Murphy arrived at the prescribed time and assessed that the pressure had separated the check value from the lift station. He used a large hose clamp to secure the pipes, check and tightened all other connections. He was very professional and kind (since I was pretty anxious). I would definitely call them again and request Mr. Murphy (although they probably have a number of very qualified plumbers).

Technician got all the visible silt from the French drain that could be accessed. Took a few tries, but he was not in a rush and took the time to do it to my satisfaction.

Pleasant and efficient on the phone setting up the service for a business with backed-up sewer lines. Service was promised by noon but John was able to start an hour or two sooner. He was very pleasant and efficient. We were back in business by noon. Will definitely call them again if needed.

Technician was punctual, on time for job, very pleasant; had another technician to assist him in job. Completed job within the time he said it would take. I noticed the very next day that hot water was entering one of the bathroom stools. The hot and cold water lines were crossed. I called the office and they sent out another technician in a reasonable amount of time after I called,;the technician corrected the error. The technician that performed the major job said that if there were any issues , he would be the technician to correct it. He was not the technician to correct the error, however I was pleased with the quick response. I would use this company again , however I would share this experience with them and expect that they would be mindful of it in making the needed repair.

I thought, once technicians arrived, it went well. There were two technicians. They were professional, courteous, polite and patient. They were neat and clean. They left things neat. So far the disposal is working. They told me I had a 6 month warranty on the labor (which is in writing on the receipt) and 2 years on the product. I do not know what the price is normally for this, but I thought the service once the technicians arrived was great!

It went extremely well. The technician, had been trying to reach us all evening and even earlier in the morning; but for some reason, my cell did not ring or receive any messages. He was very persistent! The main office called me this morning, we set up the service call and he came out directly. When he came, he asked once again what the problem was, and when we relayed the issue, he immediately diagnosed the cause of the problem, gave us an estimate, and went right to work. He was here less than half an hour. So, happy to have the problem fixed!

I joined Angie's List to make sure I selected a reputable Plumbing Service. Without knowing it I selected the same i used several years ago for the same main line clog. I was notified the morning after via a message on Angie's List and then scheduled the appointment. I received a call from the dispatcher a little before the appointment time and Chuck and Josh arrived very promptly. He did a thorough inspection of the pipes and explained everything in detail that was needed as well as what the cost would be. Chuck really persevered in working the machine to clear the clog. They both worked together very well. The video feed from the pipes showed the bad-water valve flap outside the house in front of the clean out was not working. Chuck went the extra mile in trying to free the valve. I elected not to get this fixed at the time and he provided me with the information which would help take care of the problem myself. I really appreciated this. They both where very professional in their work and I will definitely select them in the future. Overall, excellent service!

Removed toilet, used snake grinding machine to chop up roots in the line and then inspected the line for results.

The sink in the kitchen would not drain. I rented a snake at Home Depot, but it didn't go far enough. I could not locate a rental tool to help, so called Roto-Rooter. The service manager called and told me the approx. cost and gave me the time (around 8 PM) when the tech would be there. Sure enough, Roger showed up right on time and took care of the issue. He also replaced the bad Studor valve which was causing some of the problem. He was very professional, patient and got the job done. I was impressed with his work and it was good to get our drain working again.

This was my first and last experience with this overpriced company. After I accidentally busted off my hose spigot after trying to replace it, I had to shut off the water to my home and we had to brush our teeth with bottled water that night and the next morning. Since it was a friday night, I knew I was going to be paying inflated "emergency" or Saturday prices, but after calling several plumbers, I was able to schedule an online appointment with Roto-Rooter for 8am. The receptionist called me around 8am and said the plumber would around 8:30 and she was pretty close. The plumber "Gary G." was seemingly annoyed at my situation because it was raining and he quickly realized that I busted the copper pipe, and the job wasn't an easy one. It required him going underneath the crawlspace, and after he took one look at how far the pipe was from the crawlspace entrance and the little bit of water there was at the crawl space entrance, he said he would have to call his disbatcher and have me moved to the end of the day because he "would not be able to work any other jobs that day because he would get too dirty". So I asked the man if he had a one piece suit for getting dirty under crawl spaces and he said no (how unprepared can you be). So after he basically decided he didn't want to do the job in his head, he went into his van for 5 minutes to call his dispatcher, and he came back to my door and said he could be back in about 6 hours, and that the price would be $465.90.....my jaw dropped, and I said I wouldn't be able to afford that price to change a hose bib, and I asked him what do I owe him for the estimate (most good companies do free estimates for small jobs) and he charged me $50 for 10 minutes of his time. I will never use this company again after they came up with that outrageous price for a job he didn't even look into for more than 10 minutes.

Fantastic. Our tank had not been seen to at least since 2007. The cost was a bit much for me, but I can not knock the quality service.

We had a clog in our kitchen drain. I called and within 45 min the technician was at my door. Within another 40 minutes he was done and our drain was clear.

This company scams by charging $75.00 just to come out and then they over quote you for job and want u to pay up dont deal with anyone who charges to come out and quote you

It went real well. He was very professional and polite. They gave me different scenarios of how it would go. He told me exactly what was wrong and took a picture of it to show me. I felt the price was a little high for the time of work he did. I know he had to replace part of the pipe. He told me beforehand how much it would cost. They were very prompt they called the night before and I told them what was wrong. They came out this am around 8:30am.

Unclogged drain & gave estimate to replace flapper in toilet and gave estimate for a horizontal re-pipe.
