+ -1 moreRe-Bath did an excellent job, making the bathrooms just as I had specified. They were prompt arriving, worked efficiently, and completed the job in the time specified. I had asked them to mod a couple of things that were different from their usual pattern of work, and they willingly accommodated me. Re-Bath is pricey, but their work merits it. (I also had a quote from Bath Fitters that was almost the same but they would not deviate from their pattern.)
Description of Work: Strip out completely and remodel two bathrooms in rental property

Debbie and Tim O'Farrell, the owners of Rebath of the Midlands, are easy to work with, responsive, and so knowledgeable about the products offered and bathroom designs. Their business focuses on improving access for "aging in place" while keeping the esthetics at a premium. Their structure is different from most contractors in that their employees do the work rather than subs. The only exception is special licensed work such as electrical. This allows them to control scheduling more effectively. They were respectful of my time and my home. One of the owners came each day to inspect work and to discuss next steps with me. Calls were returned promptly. Could not have asked for a better group of folks to work with. As an added bonus, Debbie O'Farrell is a master at planning bathrooms and providing you with a wide selection of products for your specific use. I have all the features of a spa with easy access for aging included in the design. No one would ever know that the bath has these ADA components built in.
Description of Work: Refreshed bathroom, powder room, and kitchen. Gutted and completely redid master bath.

+ 1 moreI have a very small 1950's bathroom and wanted to completely redo the room. I went to rebath and liked the product. Even though they cover up the existing tile with the acrylic material, it still looked good and seemed like the quality was top notch. They were going to dry wall existing tile I had on the wall to reduce the cost, replace my sink and lighting fixture, as well as retile and provide an acrylic insert in my existing tub. The quote was over $12,000. I thought that was extremely pricey, and I hired a contractor to do the same services, but install a ceramic tub with actual tile for approximately $8000.00. If it had come in cheaper, I may have considered this, but not for acrylic material which covers up an existing source. The staff was indeed friendly and helpful, but the price just negated the deal!
Description of Work: I went to visit the showroom of Re-Bath in Columbia and was very impressed by the materials and options they offered for bathroom design.

+ -1 moreFrom the first contact at a home and garden show to completion of project EVERY person that we dealt with at Re bath were so knowledgable and professional. Every call was returned promptly and every request was met with a smile. The only things that were a little hard to deal with was the time frame (about 3 weeks) and the price. The cost was a lot but so was the work performed, overall it was well worth it and I would do it again in a minute. The 3 week time frame was no fault of re bath it was just that the shower was custom built and the glass required a 10 day time frame to make and ship. We love our new bathroom!!
Description of Work: Removed existing shower, garden tub, and window. Replaced tub with HUGE walk in shower and installed acrylic block window in shower. Also provided and installed storage cabinets, vent fan and lighting.

Description of Work: Our ReBath ordeal was far too complicated for this small space. My husband and I would be happy to talk and explain in more detail, and provide photos and documentation that I have not looked up for this evaluation. | |The original local ReBath company apparently folded, so the people who serviced us did not do the original work. However, ReBath, the parent company, honored the lifetime guarantee in a limited fashion only, despite The documentation we kept from the original work. | |The original installation of our upstairs showerstall was faulty; the drain immediately leaked into our kitchen ceiling. The first company came in for repairs, but left an obvious "scar" in the kitchen ceiling. An inexperienced apprentice was to blame, we were told. | |Last year the same drain developed an even bigger, more "traumatic" leak. The new company denied responsibility and never let us talk to the parent company ourselves. The new local owner insisted on being the go-between. We sent copies of the original paperwork with "lifetime guarantee," but the new local company seemed to disbelieve us; we had to submit PDFs twice to them for verification. They let us know very clearly that they would "honor" the agreement, but it was only out of the kindness of their heart; they were doing us a HUGE favor. They charged us for labor (I'd have to go back to records to look the amount up) and had to cut an even bigger hole in the kitchen ceiling that one can still see (we have photos of all of this) -- and now we have, in less than a year, mold growing in the caulking that is coming loose. | |In order to sell our house, my husband and I will have to have someone (not ReBath) come in and fix this mess. My husband and I would NEVER recommend ReBath to anyone. |

+ -1 moreTwo very polite and friendly installers promptly arrived at 9 a.m on the scheduled date. At 4 pm I had a new shower. The next morning they promptly arrived at 9 am and at 4 pm my old floor and toilet was removed, and a beautiful tile floor and toilet were installed. When I arrived home after work, the project was completed. Everything was clean and there was no evidence that my bath room had been demolished and replaced with a new shower area,except my 30 year old bath room was now apart of the 21st century! I was amazed that they some how removed the heavy iron tub from a very small space without sawing it in half. More amazing was their ability to carry it through two narrow doors and down stairs without wall dents or a scratch. I would have done this project years sooner if I knew how easy this overwhelming project would be. Re Bath of Columbia,SC has a large show room and a staff to make suggestions and explain options. Their staff was very helpful with advice and recommendations. Taking samples home allowed me to narrow down my choices. In the end, their advice turned out to be the best.. Before choosing Re Bath of Columbia, I had researched other installers and big box stores. The choice of design, styles, and colors were very limited. Most important, the other vendors did not have the personal help or variety that Re Bath provided. Their large show room made it easy to see different ideas to think about. Re Bath is more expensive than some places, but they have the market on quality and state of the art products. When the sales rep told me that they could cover my old existing wall tile, I stopped looking for other options. .
Description of Work: Removed iron bath tub with shower and replaced with step in-shower with sliding door, large shower head plus hand held shower hose, state of art pull down seat, attached two attractive safety bars and built in shower shelving . Removed old floor tile and replaced with 12inch tiles. Removed old toilet and replaced with tall Kohler toilet. Re Bath removes old shower plumbing and installs new pipe and faucet fixtures
