Steve never gave me a quote, even though it was promised and postponed a few times. He didn't want to obtain a permit to change the physical structure of the house. He promised a quote that evening (Friday) and then asked until Monday. To be fair, he was looking up the moulding information from the website where I planned to order it. He contacted me on the following Tuesday when he claimed to have all the information. I asked him to give me the quote with that information separately since the other contractors weren't quoting that...I wanted an apples to apples quote; he stated he would do so. The last time I spoke with him, he asked if he could be candid. He told me that the trim I wanted was basically glorified mobile home trim. My house already had the same size trim. His view of candid is actually insulting and rude. I think that he wanted me to give him the boot without his having to turn down the job. Unprofessional in his customer service and follow through. More than 3 weeks went by without ever receiving a full quote (he only quoted the trim and his quote was very padded from what it cost me to order and ship the trim.)
