Technician was unaware of promotion and had to call office several times for clarification. Only thing was done was spray bearings and springs with solution. Definitely not worth it.

I first discovered Precision Door through Angie's List, and based on customer recommendations, I purchased a coupon and had the service performed. They did an excellent job and I was pleased. The charge was exactly as I purchased and the door was fine. Naturally, when I needed a new remote door opener programed, I used another discount with this company and scheduled an appointment for this morning. The service tech, Rich, arrived on time, but before I could even give him the new remote and tell him what I needed, he told me I needed a new garage door. I was shocked and told him the door operated fine manually, but the original remote was not working, so I had purchased a new one. He then began telling me the new remote "may not work." I answered I still had the box for the garage door opener and had purchased the compatible opener for that model. He tested the old opener and said it was dead, and within ten minutes, re-programed the new one. It works fine. Again, he told me the door may not last and I needed to replace it, adding he could give me a quote. The door is original to the house, which is over thirty years old, but it closes fine, seals completely, and there are not breaks or cracks in anything. The tech pointed to the bottom corners and told me they were not flush and that was causing too much strain on the motor. Quite frankly, those corners fit together fine with no separations and do not look any different from the first day they were installed. My brother is a building contractor who has seen the door many times. He advised me not to buy another door. I have no problems with the service for programing the remote, as it is working fine, but needless to say, I am leery of them trying to sell me a new door as soon as they walked toward the garage. With the age of this house, I may buy a new door some day, but as it is now, this original door looks and works fine. Additionally, before scheduling an appointment, I called the company and asked if the $39.95 coupon would cover programming a remote. They told me it would as long as the tech did not have to do any other work. The tech charged me the $39.95 for the call and another $37.40 for ten minutes work programming the remote.

Precision Doors is the most timely and responsive company of any type I have ever dealt with. They came in about 3 hours. It took a little time to diagnose the problem. The motors they installed 3 years ago worked fine and were never a concern. Eventually had to move a rail (not one they had installed) over and resecure it to the wall. John was very nice and explained what he did and what I needed to do for routine maintenance. I have always been impressed by this company and by their products.

Brian Simms with Precision Garage Door performed an extensive service to include lubing all the rollers (moving parts) and tightening all parts. Additionally he provided an estimate for replacing existing rollers with updated (Lifetime Warranty) ones. Will definitely use this service provider in the future.

Short time frame to complete job. Was very good in explaining what was done and how it works. Also helped me to reprogram key pad at the door.

Called Precision Door to replace current opener with a Chamberlain. I asked if I should pick one up beforehand and was told that they had them on the truck. Repairman came at designated time, but no Chamberlain garage door openers on truck. Told my unit was old and he advised replacing with a Precision one. I told him I wanted a Chamberlain as had Wi-Fi and can easily program Mercedes car to it (old unit is an Overhead Door brand-my Audi programmed to it, but nobody has been able to program my wife's new Mercedes to it). He said he could pick one up and install tomorrow-cost $628. Lowe's is 3 miles away and sells the unit for $228. Precision Door won't install unit if customer picks it up. $400 to install a garage door opener is so far above the norm to be almost laughable. Decided against Precision Door. Called ASAP Garage Door Repair and they installed it for $130.

I contacted this company through Angie's List because my garage door was not closing correctly and seemed to be jerking as it closed. The man from Precision took one look at the door and said that everything was old and worn out and started telling me all of the things I would need to replace. He said the gear and sprocket system in particular was very bad. I asked him how much longer he thought it would last. He told me two days. I asked him to prioritize the list of replacements that he had recommended. He told me that it ALL had to be done as soon as possible. He tightened a few bolts. He then presented me with two estimates for the work he recommended. One estimate was for $673.00. This was for the work he said had to be done immediately. The other estimate was for $811.50 and included more optional work. So basically I paid him $39.00 to tighten a few bolts. I thought I bought a garage door tune up. That was not what I got. Because I felt completely ripped off, I called another garage door company. The service man came that same day. After looking at the door he went back to his truck and picked up a giant can of WD40. He sprayed everything really well, realigned the sensors and told me everything else looked fine. I showed him the estimate from Precision and he said that none of that needed to be replaced. Then he told me to have a good day. He was going to leave having charged me nothing. I insisted on paying him something for his trouble. He asked for $35.00. I have his number on speed dial. My door is fairly old. Ideally, I'm sure that it needs some of the things that this guy recommended. But his main purpose was to sell me things that I did not need. And he did not do the job that I paid for. He did not lubricate the system nor did he aligned the sensors that I saw. The simple alignment of the sensors actually fixed the problem.

Poor quality assessment of the problem as described above. They said they could find nothing wrong while we still had the problem of the remotes working very unpredictably. Would not use this service again.

I order this service for a garage door tune up on 2/14/16 and gave 3 dates for them to work with as requested. A month later, an NO CONTACT from them. I want a refund!!!!

I originally purchased the $99 garage door tune up from Angies List, but knew there was a problem with the door which I did mention when I set up the appointment. Brent explained to me what the cause of the problem was and the cost and I considered what the replacement cost was for this piece of plastic versus a new opener. I have not been happy with my old noisy garage door opener with non-working electronic door openers and had been considering a new garage door opener with keypad entry. I mentioned it to Brent and he quoted me a price and took the $99 dollars off of it. After demonstrating how it worked and what I needed to know I was so happy! I LOVE my noiseless garage door opener and keyless entry and 2 working door opener fobs! it is no convenient - especially if I ever lock myself out of the house! I hadn't considered a new garage door opener when I bought the special through Angies List and Brent didn't push it on me, but I made an on the spot decision on something I had been considering a long time and knew Precisions reputation and went with that the decision and I'm glad I did.

All went well, they were early but called before they came. Very professional and it did not take them long to perform the service. They pointed out that the rubber on the bottom of the door needed to be replaced however they did not have the replacement part nor did they offer to order it.....

they were very knowledgeable and courteous. Did exactly what the said they would. Very pleasant.

Repair person "up sold" extra work that was not necessary. Told me I could not get the initial work purchased through Angie's List without extra work being added.

Purchased the deal however, the garage door needed more maintenance. Went well. Very professional. Technician explained need for the tune up/maintenance. Not exactly sure of date service performed but it was in early 2015.

It went well. Richard had overhauled both doors about three years ago and they have operated well. I have maintenance done each year.

Brian was an outstanding technician. He went out of his way to take care of everything and made sure all was working correctly. I would definitely use them again for overhead garage door needs.

We paid him an additional $139. He came out the same day. He came out and he was very prompt and he got the job done. Even though it was more expensive but he said we had double rollers or something on the garage door and that's why it was costing more money.
