+ -1 moreThe company called and scheduled an appointment for on site. Appointment got mixed up on day, two appointments made with me. Finally they called and canceled one of the appointments. The rep arrived close to on time. He was very interested in telling me all he and his company didn't do and not a whole lot about what they do. Like unhook my Fridge, unhooking my TV. I almost was ready to say never mind, I'll move myself with all the things I would have to do to prep for them. He was listing every single little item on his list but wasn't interested in the contents of a PODS unit I wanted unloaded. He also told me that he couldn't pack and move my house in one day. However the movers who moved me in to this house moved me in one day. I'm doing all of my own packing. He insisted he would have to hold my furniture hostage overnight for a 30 mile move on a 2000 Sq Ft house. And his prices were 100% higher than other quotes I got from other movers. And I didn't get quotes from the back ally movers, but good solid well rated companies. In the end, I decided in quick manner to not use Nilsen Mayflower and use an independent company who will move me in one day and charges significantly less. Overall I was not impressed and not very comfortable with their rep.

+ -1 moreThe sales person did not return any of my multiple calls or e-mails when I needed to know how to return the signed contract. I should have stopped then and found a new company but I persisted. Ultimately had to make multiple calls to complete the process and get a time for the move. Then the crew showed up at 11 although promised between 8 and 10. They arrived with a HUGE truck which completely blocked the narrow downtown street in Charleston. Then they had several other stops to make saying they will not arrive at our move-in destination until 5PM or later. A simple one bedroom apartment move to a city three hours should not be so complicated or aggravating!! I would never use this company again!! and I will never use Mayflower again since they contract for Mayflower,
