Jungle Taming

In September I called upon Jungle Taming again to assist in more work to my yard. Bill quickly worked me into his schedule and made sure I was satisfied with the work done.. I have used Jungle Tamers several times now, and I am always impressed with Bill's work and his free-of-charge follow ups for advice or minor touch up work. I highly recommend this company for the specialized work that Bill provides!

Bill's thoroughness in clearing out the ivy and knowledge of all the plants and shrubs in our yard was fantastic. He communicated every step of the process in detail and answered all my questions (& he cheerfully and patiently answered all of my 5-year-old's questions, too.) I would definitely recommend him.

Mr. K has done work for me before. It was great back then and this time was no different. What he did in about 3 days would have taken me a month. He doesn't waste his time and is extremely fair with tracking his time. I will continue to use him when needed. I was looking at the yard, trying to do it myself and thought it was hopeless. Bill was great to work with. The hill area we needed cleared was a job that we absolutely could not have done ourselves and needed a knowledgeable, experienced professional, which is what we got in Bill. Our yard has been transformed and is in a good condition to make even better.

Bill saved my front yard! It looks like the yard of the month! His main goals are the health of your plants and your ability to maintain what he's done. He explains all of your options and their pros and cons. He teaches you the next steps so you can maintain everything in the future. He is kind, professional and thoughtful in all he does for you. He offers the level of customer service I only see at a certain chicken chain by always thanking you for allowing him to serve you. You can tell he is passionate about his work. He spent around 12 hours in the heat and rain to give me my dream yard with perfectly manicured hedges and weed free flower beds. He uncovered my beautiful rock boarders and stone path that I hadn't seen in years. I can't wait to see what he can do with my backyard!

Our jungle is getting much needed taming and we are so glad to have found out about Mr Kunze! He is a very knowledgeable and tireless plantsman. At our first meeting he looked over the property and outlined a plan which would get us the maximum benefits of his services as quickly and affordably as possible. Bill was extremely professional and a very knowledge horticulturalist. He used specialized tools to remove my overgrown bushes and roots from my property. He even helped me with the disposal of the yard waste. Such a great value and even better conversation! Would absolutely recommend!

Bill promptly responded to our request to evaluate the job. We were only in town on a limited basis and he adjusted his schedule to accommodate us, including working on Saturdays. Bill is knowledgeable about the flora and removed the invasive species leaving the more desirable trees and shrubs. I would HIGHLY recommend Jungle Taming for any yard work needs. We called at 10 o'clock on a Sat morning and by 12 o'clock (same day) he was working in our yard. Bill is very knowledgeable of the plants and trees he is working with and shares his knowledge. Bill spend 5 hours transforming our yard. Our hummingbirds are now back!!! Bill even allowed us to assist in the clearing of trees and branches to help offset the time spent. Will have Bill back to help with the back fence in the Fall.

Bill Kunze did an amazing job clearing out an area in my front yard that had overgrown Holly bushes and dead Hawthorne bushes. It also had vines that had to be removed. It only took him a day, and he was only too happy to let me pick his brain with questions, and explained how to maintain the remaining bed so that we would not have regrowth there. I would recommend him highly.

Bill did an excellent job of assessing and then removing the overgrown areas of my yard which detracted from its appearance. He is very knowledgeable about plants and landscaping, and I knew from working with him before that he would offer sound advice. He worked with me at each step to establish a plan, and he did everything I needed while staying within my budget. He is the consummate professional. I am very pleased with the outcome and so happy to be rid of the excess growth which truly had become a jungle.

I reached out to Bill at Jungle Taming to get some advice about poison ivy removal. Since I live in Charleston, I'm well outside of his market, but he still provided me with great info and feedback. Wish I didn't live so far away, otherwise I'd have hired him for the job!

My land is running amok with trees and bushes, so I called on Bill at Jungle Taming to help out... Even though I did not hire him, it wasn't because of Bill or his services... He was VERY honest about what I had going on, honest about what needed to be done, and advised that I'd be better looking for someone who does a different kind of work than he does... He could have taken me for alot of money, and the fact that he didn't, and for the reasons he didn't, tells me he's an honest man and one I would hire if I need work in his field again... Thank you Bill!

The results were exactly what I needed. I had used Jungle Taming before (see my review from then) so I had no hesitation in calling Bill. As before, he showed up exactly when he said he would, and worked hard the whole time he was on the job - most of three solid 7 1/2 hour days. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious. He is very knowledgeable, so I knew that my good plants were safe while he was clipping away. The areas now look neat and tended. Only negative was that while he piled up the debris, he did not haul it to the curb. My regular lawn service had to do that after him.

Bill came to my rescue to tame the jungle that my yard had become. The camellias and dogwood tree in my backyard were overrun with vines, to the point that I needed help to rescue these plants. I was looking for someone with the knowledge to come in and remove the unwanted plants without damaging the plants I considered valuable. Bill worked hard to get the job finished quickly and efficiently. He also took the time to teach me how to maintain the service he provided.

My bushes were about 6” high and so deep I couldn’t reach the centers and were covered with vines: Virginia creepers, jasmine, greenbrier, grape and dewberries. I had tried to cut them back last fall and remove some of the. Vines but they just kept getting worse. Mr. Kunze not only trimmed the bushes back to knee high and removed vines but he also taught how to remove them more effectively than just pulling them out. He did this job in about 7.5 hours. It would have taken me weeks to get as much done as he did.
