JSK Complete Renovations

I hired Joseph Russell (JSK Complete Renovations LLC) to do a complete renovation on a house I purchased to flip. Because of the unprofessionalism and the poor quality of his work, I had to fire him. This renovation process was to proceed in four stages. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, performed the work for parts of stage one, stage two and stage three but performed no work for stage four. Unfortunately, the portions of the stages he did complete were deficient. Deficiencies in stage one: JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to key all of the locks on the property the same way. I provided the business license for him at a cost of $122.00. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC only supplied one dumpster and one trash trailer, when they were supposed to supply two. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to replace all the exterior rotten siding, trim, fascia, and soffit. Additionally, the siding he did replace was with white pine and it was supposed to be cedar siding. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to finish the drywall mud and trim. Deficiencies in stage two: JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to replace top caps on the top of the post. Some of the pickets on the back deck were broken. Pickets on the front deck were not attached and the side of the back deck is missing a l x l0. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to paint all the exterior of the house and all trim. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, failed to pressure wash the deck or the cabana. Some of the locks on the window in the fourth bedroom were broken and the fourth bedroom window has not been replaced. Not all of the pine straw was installed and the bails that were not used to finish the job were taken. There was no sodding or seeding and only some of the trees have been trimmed. Only some of the mulch was added and the remaining bags for the rest of the job were taken. Deficiencies in stage three: With the exception of the upstairs guest bedroom, all walls had to be repainted because the drywall mud was not applied correctly and was not sanded before paint was applied. All of the doors and trim had to be repainted because JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, used latex paint over oil based paint without priming and it all peeled off. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, did not install hardwoods in the master bath closet and did not finish the installation of the pre-finished hardwoods. I had to pay another flooring company to tear out and correctly install the flooring at a cost of$2,377.50. JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, did such a poor job with the plumbing that it all had to be re-done. I am in the process of re-doing all the electrical work that was improperly performed by JSK Complete Renovations, LLC. I had to pay JSK Complete Renovations, LLC's trim guy because Mr. Russell failed to pay him. Finally, the neighbors have informed me that some of the workers were living in the house during the renovation and that they drove over the neighbors' sprinkler heads and damaged them. In addition to the deficiencies, JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, also caused damage to my property which resulted in me having to incur additional costs: Dumpster fee to clean up debris, power wash driveway and garage from spillage of paint ; 2 fans broken that were actually destroyed ; busted interior 6 panel door and casing ; 3 Levolor aluminum blinds in master bathroom and upstairs window ; 12 brushed nickel hinges that had overspray paint on them; 26 recessed lights destroyed because of paint overspray ; 6 central vacuum inlet covers destroyed because of paint overspray ; labor to fix all unnecessary and carless damages ; and 3 door knobs. Additionally, JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, has acknowledged by e-mail that he owes me a credit of over $12,000.00. Therefore, the total amount owed by JSK Complete Renovations, LLC to me is over $20,000.00. To say the least, I am not pleased and very disappointed with the work performed by JSK Complete Renovations, LLC, as he has been over paid and still owes money to me for damages, which is mounting by the day.
