Description of Work: Needed a dryer desperately and they were recommended. I did not want to deal with the big store chain even though the prices were a little bit better. It's important to patronize our local small businesses. Yes I paid a little more but they were very responsive, friendly, and professional. I will be purchasing a washer from them very soon. I won't even bother looking at the other guys.

Description of Work: We have used Jeffers McGill on several occasions and always been very pleased until this HORRIBLE experience. We remodeled our kitchen and decided to go with several Thermador high end appliances from Jeffers-McGill. We bought and paid in advance and made arrangements for them to deliver when the construction was ready. When they went to deliver the refrigerator the top glass shelf was accidently shattered and glass was dispersered throughout the interior of the refrigerator. According to Thermador and common sense this unit should never have been delivered. They made an effort to clean the glass and have actually tried 3 times but we keep finding dangerous shards of glass inside the unit. In fact, they left attached shattered glass on the brackets which have remained in our refrigerator and continued to come loose over the past 4 weeks. Based on our past relationship with JM we have been extremely patient waiting for replacement but have grown concerned that the glass pieces may never properly be removed. This is a clear danger to our family and after careful consideration we asked them to replace the unit with one that has not previously been damaged. We paid a good amount of money and have a clear expectation to receive first quality product. They have steadfastly refused and are taking the easiest way out and most convenient for them. They show no regard for the safety of our family. Their solution is only to replace the shelf but they can not guarantee that an overlooked remaining shard of glass will not eventually cause injures. They have been full of misinformation and delay and unfortunately we will NEVER do business with them again. This is very sas because we genuinely liked and trusted them but they have filed to libe up to this.

Description of Work: Bought frig and office/sales staff great, and delivery people arrived when they said they would, one young man assisting another.The assistant was very pleasant, the "boss" was incompetent and hot tempered.He had a great deal of trouble removing the old appliance, and loudly and obnoxiously refused any help.....to the extent I had to tell him to shut up and do his job, and leave the room.They did not even attach the wiring harness to the unit so it would not work.....fortunately we were able to get our salesman on the phone, and he walked us through the process........this was on a Friday late afternoon - otherwise we would not have had a working fridge over the weekend. Either the installer was totally incompetent or deliberately left before the unit was working properly.He made what was otherwise a pleasant experience into one of tension and reflects poorly on what has otherwise been good dealings with the company.Any future dealings with them will have to exclude any contact with that particular young adolescent....

Description of Work: When we built our house in 2000, our builder recommended another company for our appliances. Fortunately, we had heard and went there for comparative shopping. Prices were at least 15% better, included delivery and set-up. Service was personal and exceptional. Subsequently, we have returned to buy a new refrigerator, and have also recommended to numerous friends.

Description of Work: We bought a washing machine from them in 2006 & in 1/2007 it began making loud squeaking noises. We had a extended warranty with GE & called & told no repair until machine ceased functioning totally - novel approach to machine maintenance. Jeffers-McGill called got authorization for appliance Dr. to come work on. Motor, agitator, belts, transmission, buttons etc replaced in ongoing visits over last 10 mos. Machine still not functioning even after another repair service called.
