 + 1 moreI had 2 bathrooms that needed work. The smaller bath needed a new shower pan and I was told by several other contractors that the whole shower would need to be demolished and retiled which would cost several thousand dollars. Tony and his crew took out the bottom tiles, replaced the shower pan and matched new tile to the old tile. This was much less expensive and I am happy with the result. The other bathroom had extensive structural and plumbing issues and had to be completely taken down to the studs. All in all, the job took several weeks and I got to know Tony and his crew very well. They were often there when I was working, and I never felt uneasy about them being in my house. They were kind, polite, hard working people who did an excellent job in my bathroom. The end result is a gorgeous bathroom and I am confident that it is structurally sound and it is plumbed correctly!

 + 1 moreI was very pleased with Jeffcoat Construction. Mr. Jeffcoat responded to my telephone calls promptly, came when he said he would come, and was very knowledgeable. His work was of a high quality and he left my basement cleaner than before he came!
Description of Work: Mr. Jeffcoat repaired a rotted sill in my basement. He also removed rotted joists under the bathroom, replaced the posts holding up the basement stairs, and installed a handrail for the stairs. He also removed the old insulation under the bathroom and replaced it. He repaired an outlet that wasn't working and grounded two electrical wires.

 + -1 moreThe scheduling of the work was done by the general contractor, who also paid Jeff for the work, so we cannot comment specifically on the cost of the cabinet work. Jeff arrived early on the job and immediately went to work. Other workers often arrived later. When Jeff had to leave work early he was sure to inform the general contractor and us if we weren't around. Jeff did excellent work on the shelving, checking frequently with the lady of the house who designed the shelves. The large shelf unit after finishing looked like a store-bought unit but of course tailored to our specs. We were pleased with Jeff's attention to detail, his professionalism, and his friendliness.
Description of Work: Jeff built three shelf units for us, two in our new studio addition and one in a hall closet makeover into a pantry. One of the shelf units was in a closet area. The shelves for the primary unit were made of oak-faced plywood; the others of standard (paintable) plywood. The main shelf unit consisted of two (two-door) 40" cabinets and then shelves up to the ceiling. This unit was constructed off-site and then installed. The shelf units were installed with routed-in brackets so that the shelves were movable. Jeff also installed the closet rods and staqndard overhead shelves. The shelves designed to hold weighty material were faced so provide extra reinforcement. The staining/painting was done by another worker. Jeff also did some general construction work for the addition, helping with landscaping and installing a retaining wall.

They repaired the crack were the concrete had separated and reset some loose stones. Tony and his crew were very professional. They finished the repair on time and cleaned up after their work.The repair looks great. I plan on using them for my next project and I highly recommend them.

 + 0 moreWhat a great guy! Mr. Jeffcoat came over to give me estimates on a roof and a fence repair. As soon as he arrived, he said he smelled a gas leak. Sure enough, my gas line to the hot water heater was leaking. He saved my life!! His crew worked all evening to replace the line so that I could have heat and hot water. The following Monday, his crew replaced my roof which included tearing off the old shingles, replacing all the vents and even shingled my crawl-space door. I now have a beautiful architectural shingled roof. His crew also repaired a cyclone fence in my backyard that had been severely damaged from a fallen tree. They cut and removed all the wood and repaired the fence. Tony Jeffcoat and his crew are honest, take pride in their work and do a superb clean-up job to boot! I am so happy that I found him on Angie's List. I will be using him in the future.

Tony has years and years of experience and it shows. He has a wealth of knowledge in many different areas of contracting services. He can remodel/repair just about anything. I bought an older home that needed several different repairs and he was able to fix everything (plus some) at a fraction of the price of the other bids I obtained. I've hired him on several occasions for repair/remodeling work and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. He's very helpful and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He and his right-hand man, Dwayne, are a pleasure to work with.

 + 2 moreWork satisfactorily completed- Plumbing redone under bathroom which had previously been done incorrectly, Fan installed correctly in second bathroom, ceiling painted in second bathroom, cabinets removed from second bathroom, sanded big spots of "mud" off of hardwood in hall which had hardened and failed to be cleaned up by formers workers ,faucet installed on outside of house, electrical redone in den.
Description of Work: Jeffcoat construction: Tony Jeffcoat and his assistant, Dwayne work exceedingly well and complete all work in what can only be described as "the right way"; Tony insists that everything meets the highest standard and he will not tolerate anything being "half done". For this reason, I can finally really be at peace knowing that I do not have to worry about all all work being done "right". As a 68 year-old woman, I have been taken advantage of numerous times. My son passed away in 2005, and I was extremely grieved and decided it might help me if I tried to remodel this old house. The first guy made a terrible mess of the house and took over $7000.00 and ran. I blame myself in many ways as I was just too naive and gullible,and keep choosing all the wrong people to do the work. I could write a book, but instead, I just thank God that I now have Tony and Dwayne to do the work right. I will be using them for some time to straighten out things as well as to do projects that I dream of doing. They recently straightened out plumbing under the bathroom which was held up with bricks, sticks and apparently anything the other man could find. The water to the commode was hooked up with hot water, and dry grout was poured between the tile without being mixed. This is now done properly. In addition, Tony did the electricity without charging me. If Tony knows of any way he can help, he will. He recently found a good bargain on outside metal storage buildings; the boxes had gotten wet and could not be sold for the regular price of $500.00; my cost was $150.00. In conclusion, I will forever be grateful to Tony and Dwayne for taking my grandson who lives with me under their wing as he was unemployed. He is learning so much from them. Thank you Tony and Dwayne for being good samaritans and giving him a " beginning". Your hard work is appreciated more than you can ever know. I feel that the best way to say thank you is to share the good news with others who can benefit from your services Anne Bender
