handyman service, sunrooms
+ 0 moreMr. Lyles the owner of J&M Handyman Service when he works does okay work but he never completed anything and has given us excuse after excuse. He is either sick, or one of his children are sick, etc. It is now wlmost 5 months and our sunroom is only 50% completed.
Description of Work: My husband and I contracted with J&M Handyman Service to build a 300 sq foot sunroom onto our home. The contract began on 3-17-2012. It has now been almost five months and the work is only 50% completed. J&M Handyman Service has received $28,150.00 from us to date for materials and labor. Mr. Lyles the owner of the company keeps giving us one excuse after the other and most days does not even show up for work. Have now hired an attorney for proceed with legal action.

handyman service, pressure washing
+ 0 moreI paid him $700 on 12/29/11 as a deposit to purchase materials. He came back on the 5th and 6th of January and started work. All they did was pressure wash the exterior of the house, damaging some of the bricks. After they left on the 6th, I have not heard back from them. I've tried to called them and have only gotten their voicemail.Mr.James F. Lyles had agreed to refund me $400.00 as per conversation with him by phone on January 17, 2012. Mr. Lyles had given me promises and all kinds of excuses why he keep on delaying to meet with me so I can get my refund. He claim he already got the money on hand and I even volunteered to go where he is at (Richland Hospital because he said that his son is seriously ill). He is not answering his phone and up to now January 20,2012 at 1:00 PM I have not recieve my refund.
Description of Work: We hired them to replace rotten wood on various locations on the exterior of the home, pressure wash, prime and paint all of the wood, as well as metal above the garage. He was also supposed to fill in the cracks on the bricks. He was supposed to include all the labor and materials.The manager of the company Mr. James F Lyles had agreed to refund me $400.00 from our conversation by phone on January 17,2012. Mr. Lyles has given me all kinds of excuses over the phone and up to now January 20,2012 at12:30 PM I have not recieve the refund.
