They did a good job. There is another one over here near my house, iDavid was just a long drive and I am still having a little bit of issue to my computer, not directly related to the work that they did. The only reason I don't give them an A is because I ordered it, they said, okay, we are going to order a replacement screen. They had an A...they come in graded A, B, C, D in terms of how...if it has got scratches and things like that. They had an A for me but they didn't tell me they needed a deposit and they called me back a day later that they'll need a deposit. So I give them the deposit and then they called back a couple of days later and say, oh sorry we are not going to be able to get you an A graded, we are going to get you a B. I feel disappointed. By the time they went back to order it, it was gone because they have to get these parts. That is the only reason I give them a B. As far as the work and everything...the work was fine but they just messed up. They should have told at the very beginning, 'We need a deposit' which I would have paid and then I could have had the A screen. Then two, when they got me the B screen, the price didn't go down, I still paid the same amount of money for the B screen that I would have paid for the A screen.
Description of Work: I used iDavid. They put a new screen in my laptop and it was probably about $250.

I took in my laptop that was having problems starting up and they diagnosed that the motherboard needed replacement. They gave me an estimate of the repairs, which was reasonable, but then recommended that it likely wasn't worth it due to replacement cost of a new laptop. I had already decided that, but it was nice to have them say it. Also, they did not charge for the diagnosis, which was awesome. I'm definitely using them again.

How did it go? Well we are now into mid October and I am still waiting. My personal experience with this guy was not a good one. He seems to not be able to control his third head and be professional. Michael, stop thinking with your third head and every woman that comes in your store does not want you. I am very disappointed and I we can resolve this issue outside of small claims court.
Description of Work: Nothing thus far but call me on my cell phone asking very intrusive questions and being completely delusional to why I came up to his store. He assumed my smiling and being cordial was an advance towards him...SO NOT THE CASE. I was merely checking on the status of my laptop and he had the audacity to say out of his mouth "Well, I kinda put you on the back burner". Oh, really. That is exactly what a cash paying customer wants to hear.

The computer repair was wonderful. They were very punctual and professional, and their price was great. They were very organized and took great care of me. They were much cheaper than Best Buy. They even had good parking spaces.

Everything went great everytime I've been in the store. They tell you how long it will take and they have always delivered on time. They are fast, friendly, and professional. No need to go anywhere else.
Description of Work: When I first moved to Columbia I spilled a soft drink onto my laptop keyboard. This caused the keyboard to malfunction (i.e. I'd type a "s" and a number would appear). I went to see the "geek squad" but since I hadn't purchased my computer at Best Buy they weren't interested in assisting me. As I was driving home I happened to see the iDavid Computer sign and pulled in. I left the computer with them and got a call the next day. He said he had cleaned the keyboard and it was working fine now. I had a BIG surprise when I picked it up--no charge! The store policy is "no repair, no charge". I was impressed to say the least. I brought my father's computer in for a memory upgrade, and everything was done to my satisfaction at a reasonable price. Later on, my laptop picked up a virus and once again he was able to get everything cleaned up and he also loaded up some free anit-virus software for me. I recently purchased a new computer and wanted everything taken off the old one before I gave it to my son. iDavid suggested an external hard drive to store my photos and documents, and that was a great idea. He repaired the the CD drive on the old computer, reset it to factory specifications, and cleaned it up to where it looked almost new. Needless to say, I am now a big fan of iDavid computers. I admit to being a techno-peasant, so finding someone I can trust when I need computer assistance is really great.
