Job not done right the first time

Very good - highly recommend.

The problem was diagnose, part replace and was checked to see if problem corrected. The technician also educated me on make of the units, what could occur, the lifetime of the product and what other makes are better and give longer and lasting results with less maintenance. Good information.

I was pleased with the service. We bought a special deal through Angie's List to have an inspection of our unit because one of our rooms wasn't cooling well and we wanted to know if this was due to low freon or the ductwork. The tech gave very specific recommendations of how we could better optimize the ductwork to the room (giving specific diameters and sites of insertion) and gave us 2 price options (replacing a portion or replacing all since our ductwork was middle age). There was no pressure to accept the services offered. In the end, we'll do the work ourself as we are pretty handy and the tech gave such specific info as to what was needed (so there will not be any guessing). I will definitely hire them in the future for maintenance and repair work.

The inspection was done prior to my moving in. They determined that everything was working properly. However, I was not there when the inspection was done. The current owner was there. I have no way to determine how well it was done as I did not witness it. I never received a written report from them, although I had requested one twice.

Everything about this experience was great. The appointment scheduling was easy and they were very courteous. The technician was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and fixed my HVAC right away. The problem was small, and they didn't overcharge me - the price was very reasonable and the service was fast and fixed the issue. I would absolutely recommend them and will use them again if I have future service needs.

The service was excellent. The technician that came out was just fantastic and took care of my problem.

My three year old hvac system stopped working and I called the company that installed it for service. They said that my exterior coil system was hit by lightning and all the electronics, controllers and fan motor were destroyed. They wanted about 1800.00 to replace the parts because the warranty would not cover lightning damage. I called E.F. Martin Mechanical Contractors for a second opinion. They determined that a p/c board had indeed gone bad but there was no indication of any lightning damage and all other components were working ok. They replaced the part under warranty and the charge was 175.00 for labor only. The serviceman was very professional and certainly knew what he was doing. This is a company that has a high level of integrity. Boy, what a breath of fresh air !

EF Martin was great to work with from start to finish. They were prompt on their quote and were the most competitive quote we received out of 6 quotes. Communication was great. Once notified we chose them, EF Martin began work the same week and completed the job in 1 day. All other vendors quoted 1 day. The equipment provided was American Standard so no shortcuts made on quality. I was very impressed how clean my yard was after they left. Also the owners were at my house at the end of the day to go over all the work done and explain how everything works. They even called the next day to see how our first night went. In summary EF Martin was extremely professional, great quality of work and products, all at a great price. I would highly recommend working with this team of professionals.

The service provider himself was knowledgeable and friendly. The service was helpful. Getting scheduled, however, was a big pain. I spoke with multiple people. It seemed the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. Making multiple calls diminished the value of the offer (time is money). Would not opt to do it again.

E.F. Martin is knowledgeable and trustworthy. They are punctual and professional and take great care if not damaging your house when working inside of it. I would highly recommend them for all your HVAC needs.

Overall experience was excellent. Replacement unit was installed in one working day. We only had one minor issue with the thermostat and its wiring. The thermostat wiring issue was corrected and the unit is performing as advertised. I am very satisfied with this service provider. We plan to use this dealer as our primary HVAC provider.

We have a yearly contract with E F Martin Mechanical Contractors Inc. This is a company that has been around in the city for a long time, and it is locally owned. When that man retired and sold his business I think he was really careful about who he sold it to. So we think the service is very personal and they are looking to upgrade us a little bit and they are working with us on the cost of how to handle that. So: Plan A cost such amount but Plan B, if you want to forgo such-and-such we can make it $700 less expensive. They are really interested in keeping our business.

I called as usualy in the early fall, they set up an appt. at my convenience. The tech came out to make sure the two units were ready to go for the fall season, which took maybe an hour or so. He checked all the equipment, both outside and inside. When finished, he answered all my questions, was courteous and informed. I signed the paperwork, and he was gone. I had not fee that day because I am under contract with this company and the contract covers routine maintenance.

They did a great job at a competitive price, were very knowledgeable, & gave me a form filled out for SCE&G energy rebate of $200.

I purchased the Groupon for E.F. Martin's heat/AC service for our unit. I was so pleased with the service they proviced! A VERY thorough inspection was done on our older unit and Chris was exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. In fact, I joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of complimenting this company on a job EXCEPTIONALLY well done! As a member of a family-owned business dedicated to quality service, it is so refreshing to see a business that feels likewise.

When I have problems, they're out here as soon as possible. I'm very pleased with them and plan to keep using them in the future.

I think that they are very expensive. They were very pleasant when they got in here. They are just good business people and they are in business so if they want profit they would certainly do that. They were on time. I have Linux system and the contractors that are authorized in this area for Linux website, one of the other contractors was going to charge $500 less than E F Martin but the reason I didn’t go with them was because I thought I would stick to the one who is local.

They come twice a year to service my heat and air. I'm on a service agreement with them so I pay a yearly fee to cover pretty much a lot of things that might come up. If I need a whole new system it's not going to cover that. I have nothing to compare them with but they've been good. We took up with them fourteen years ago when we bought the house because that's who the former owner used. They were the ones that installed the unit to begin with so we just stayed with them. We never had an experience with anyone else particularly but they've had good technicians. I feel confident that they know what they are doing. Someone answers the phone when you call and I have no complaints. I have compared their price with others and they are in the ballpark of what others charge. They usually give you a time they are coming and if they can't fix it up they'll call you and tell you that they are running behind so they are good.
