We specialize in Commercial and Residential Installation, Service and Maintenance. Our services provided include New Construction Homes, Duct Work, Vapor Barrier, Insulation, Indoor Air Quality Testing, Indoor Air Quality Product Installation, service/repair, Installation, as well as maintenance. While we service and maintenance all brands of equipment, E.F. Martin mainly installs American Standard, Carrier or Goodman brand units. E.F. Martin has been an American Standard Customer Care dealer since 2012.

Description of Work: I had this company check my ducts for leakage - an Angie's list special for $99 which is a very good price. However, I requested that the technician send me a report on the results via email. A month later I have not heard from them - so the $99 was a complete rip off. I expect to get my money refunded and never stray from the company I have been using for over 20 years - Second Wind. They have A + service.

Prompt, professional service.
Description of Work: Heat pump maintenance. Symptom was inefficient operation and not cooling the lower floor of the house. Diagnosis was made and remediated quickly. Technicians were able to also provide options to fix and prevent other potential problems due to the age of the units.

Description of Work: Well they missed the first date and time..i had to call them to set another date.they did not call me..they sent a guy that did not do residential.and he admitted that he was a commercial unit guy. He wrote up what he found and that they would email me...the next day I get a call from the owner who wants to schedule another visit... never got a email from them. I could not take off work again. Just wished they had sent the right guy the first time.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], I do apologize for the confusion concerning the first appointment, your service technician had run into a lengthy repair on the call before yours and we were unable to make it to your residence that day. I did however email you thru the Angie's List site on the 24th and 29th of September so that we could get you back on the schedule. When we completed the visit on the 1st of October , it was late in the day and the office was closed. I received the information from your technician the next day. Unfortunately this was the weekend of the 1000 year flood and we were unable to open our office again until the 7th which is the day that I emailed you through the Angie's List system inquiring if you had sustained damage and asking when would be a good time to have Andy come out and discuss your needed repairs. I did not receive a response. I also followed up to this message with a phone call and a message through Angie's List On October 22 also with no response. We would love to discuss this you further over the phone or in person. What would be a good time to have Andy our owner contact you? Since you were unhappy with your service we will also love to provide you with a free spring service. We look forward to hearing from you.

Description of Work: Prepaid annual HVAC inspection and service. He did not perform all of the services stated under the service agreement. Had to prod him to clean the exterior coil system. Claimed that a capacitor in the main unit was bad and wanted 80.00 to replace it. Called another firm for a second opinion and found that it was a lot of hooey.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], I am very sorry that you were not satisfied with your recent service. I was not there personally however there seems to be some miscommunication. When Peter came out he was completing the Winter service which would be a Heat PM. On the winter service we do not normally clean the exterior coil system. This service was completed for your home in May when we came out to complete your Spring Maintenance. Peter did note that the 15MFD capacitor did have low readings which can cause higher utility bills and that he would recommend replacement on our next service in six months. I apologize if Peter did not clarify that this was just a recommendation. We value your business and would love to speak with you personally about this matter. I hate that we were not able to address this in November at the time of service. Customer satisfaction is always a goal here at E.F. Martin.
