Description of Work: I described what I design I in mind, and he built a handicap dog ramp leading from doggie door to landing and then out to grass. This ramp was secured into the existing concrete steps and was built to last. Is sturdy enough to hold human traffic, as well. He did a fantastic job! Will use him again in the future and recommend to my family and friends.

Description of Work: HORRIBLE...the technician showed up a day and a half after intital contact. He quoted me a price that was different (much higher) than was originally quoted. I asked him to leave.

Description of Work: He's FABULOUS. Everything was very carefully done and we've had no followup problems. | |But the problem is that I can't reach him again! I have called and called and called. I know someone must be checking messages because the message box doesn't get full. And it's his voice on the recorder. It's a mystery. He just disappeared. One of the best fix-it/build-it people I have ever had. Wish you would return my calls!!!!!

Description of Work: I paid $150 for a window and never saw him again. One window he installed has a problem and I left a phone message which he never returned. Have left numerous messages for him and he won't return my calls. Do not trust him.

Description of Work: I had a list of small things: some wood rot outside, some bathroom caulking, some painting touch-up, and added an electrical problem after he was already here.

Description of Work: 1) Interior painting of Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, FROG and Office including trim. 2) Exterior painting of trim around garage, back door and front door. 3) Laying new Pergo floor (hardwood laminate) in foyer, kitchen, dining area and separately around fireplace hearth. All areas except kitchen were previously carpeted.

Description of Work: McKinley hung two ceiling fans and painted two eaves for us, neither of which we ourselves could get to. The ceiling fans were both on very high faulted ceilings with separate fan and light switches. Outside eaves on sides of house. Rain sent McKinley into a two day process between ceiling fans and eaves which he showed promptly on each day :).

Description of Work: Mckinley came out intitially to discuss the work that was needed and the materials, timeline. I had some questions and information for him during the couple weeks preceding the work date, and he was very responsive back...either by phone, email or text. I purchased some items that were needed, and he saved me $100 on fencing materials by going with a supplier he recommended over others I priced out. We agreed he/we could knock out several projects in a half day or so. The projects? He installed a new bath fan and connected another fan both to a new timer switch, and also properly vented the fan ducts to the soffit, correcting some poor work from a previous contractor who merely vented the bath fan into the attic. This now runs great and is reducing condensation. McKinley also moved a dining room fixture ceiling base to center of room and then hung/connected a new light fixture over the dining room table. Looks beautiful. A third project in the morning including digging four post holes, setting the fence posts, putting up the wood fence panels, and then adding concrete/mortar to set. He brought his own tools for this and his gas-powered post hole digger saved alot of time. New wood fence section is up and looks good. A fourth project including taking out part of a deteriorating screened porch door frame and re-framing the door with new 2 x 4 x 8's and also adding better hinges on the door so it closed naturally and is true. The fifth project was correcting the latch/strike on the bathroom pocket door, which wasn't done properly by a past contractor. He did all of this about 5 1/2 hours. McKinley is the type of professional and individual we'd like to see all "tradesman" be like. They're good at what they do, they tell it to you straight, they're true to their word, they'll often go the extra mile or work a bit more for the same price, and they're pleasant to work with. The result is quality work that improves your home and you leave feeling it was a fair deal. Plus, you gotta like his slogan: "We keep your husband out of the doghouse!" I definitely plan on tapping into his talents again.

Description of Work: McKinley replaced two ceiling light fixtures (kitchen and dining room) and one front porch lamp.

Description of Work: Carpentry work was performed such as base boards, door casings, and window trim. Everything was neat and professional. Extremely hard worker with everything needed to accomplish the job!

Description of Work: The house is more than 50 years old. I had major termite damage in my garage, and I also needed electrical work and help with drainage issues outside my house. He removed rotted wood and shored up the entire garage to support storage space and new doors. He also built a speed bump to divert excess rainwater away from the house. He re-wired the entire garage, and installed wall sockets and a ceiling fan. He also bricked in an area in the house that contained an old window air conditioning unit. He then installed sheet rock to cover the hole and lay shoe molding on the floor.

Description of Work: Kitchen cabinets painted. Counter replaced. Back splash behind the stove installed glass tiles. Track lighting installed. Attic fan replaced. Cabinets installed in den area. Lights in den/TV room area. Bathroom fan switches adjusted/replaced. Curtain rods hung. Lot's of little stuff.

Description of Work: Installed trim and molding in small office space. Made the room beautiful!
