They people over the phone were great.
Description of Work: I received a referral to CPR from my home Warrenty company. I had a faucet that the water had stopped running normally and would just run slow. I called after the federal and explained the problem. They ask me to remove the aerator and clean out an scale and see if that fixed the problem. He mentioned that due to the recent cold snap pipes expand and contract a little more than normal sometime pushing scale into the lines. Their solution worked and they saved me the service free for them coming out. I feel many service providers would have come out and collected the fee and just rinsed the faucet like I did in 5 minutes. They seem like a trustworthy company.

Saw a bubble on our ceiling in the living room. Called and they called back immediately and were able to come out the next morning. After the technician, Martin, looked around, he wasn't sure what the problem was because we did not have water anywhere in the bathroom over that ceiling and there was also a vent in our attic around the same area, but it too was dry. He was going to leave as he did not know why there was a bubble on my ceiling. I told him I wanted to know what was causing it, so without putting anything down, he put a huge hole in my ceiling and all kinds of water came pouring down. I ran to get a bucket and towels. There was drywall all over my living room, nasty water/waste on my couch, my kids musical instruments, all over the carpet (huge stain now), etc. So, he said there was a hairline crack in the pipe and that he would get me the info I needed to get it fixed. I paid a service call fee, but then he left and hasn't called since. I have left multiple messages for him directly and also with the company's main number, but the man (assuming owner) who answers just says he is the answering service (great answer when you are scamming people). Of course, that is after he has asked all about the issue and details. Very disappointed by this company, especially since they responded so quickly to come out. Now I am left with a huge mess in my downstairs, a huge hole in the ceiling that wasn't there before, and a bathroom we can't use, and no return calls!
Description of Work: Found a hairline leak on a water pipe from a toilet.

As a result of their first repairs on 11/29/11, a downpour resulted from their work on 1/18/12. Water cover the dining room floor, my foyer the kitchen floor and hallway. Some spots the water was an inch deep or more. This caused the wood floors to cup, kitchen tile to come up, insulation to get wet and the front door unable to open. I called in another plumber who saw other spots in the pipe that need to be replaced. I requested CPR to make the necessary repairs to the wood floor, insulation, tile, and front door.Neither CPR or American Home Shield would remedy the situation. I will never use CPR again. They do not stand by their work.
Description of Work: CPR was sent out by American Home Shield, my home warranty company for a leak on 11/29/11. They didn't repair the leak properly. On 1/18/12 their work came apart causing a downpour of water. CPR repaired it again. .

They never followed up, even after several more calls from me, about our leaking outside faucets. Two weeks later and I'm switching companies.
Description of Work: This was through our home warranty American Home Shield, so we just paid the $60 service fee and they stopped two toilets from running as badly as they had been, however what we really needed to be done was to stop the bad leaking of our outside back and front (main) faucets. They said they'd get back with us on a cost and I called several times to follow-up when I never heard from them, but never got a call back. Now, 2 weeks later, I'm giving up on this company and switching to one that's rated well on Angie's List. Hopefully they will be responsive and get our problem fixed.

Two weeks ago, I noticed that my washing machine was leaking underneath my house- there was a big soapy puddle at the entrance to my crawl space. (!!!) I called American Home Shield and this is the contractor they called to come out. 24 hours later, they called me, and said they would come out the next afternoon to check it out. They showed up 1.5 hours later than they had agreed, and didn't bother calling to say they would be late. The two guys who came out looked to be early-20s. Nothing against people in their early 20s, but these two were pretty green. I showed them the crawlspace, and they asked me if I had a flashlight they could borrow. (!!!) Really? You are a plumber, and you don't have a flashlight? More importantly, you are a MAN, and you don't carry a flashlight in your vehicle?! I'm a WOMAN, and I have always carried one! So a few minutes later, they come inside and tell me that I need to call my insurance company and get someone out to suck the water out, cos they can't even get up in there to see where the leak was. The one guy said that there were maggots in the water. Huh? I'm pretty dang sure that maggots can't live in water. He probably saw some mosquito larvae. So I got someone to come over and get the water out (which by then, had mostly been absorbed into the ground), $250 later. I call CPR Services back, and left a message saying that the water was all gone, could they please call me back and let me know when they could come back out. Well, with the 3-day weekend looming, they never bothered to return my call. In the meantime, I and a friend of mine get up into the crawlspace and look for leaks. We found two. Thankfully, neither was from the toilet. Tuesday morning (after Labor Day) I called again. Got the answering machine again. Left a message again. Never heard back from them again. I called AHS, and complained that they had never called me back. AHS called them, got someone on the phone, and put us on 3-way. The guy told me that they would come back the next afternoon (Wed.). I told him that I had to leave for work around 6. I waited for them until 5:45 PM, they never showed up. What they DID do was call AHS back that evening, and say that there was still water and maggots under the house, and that they couldn't go under there because it was "unsafe work conditions". Huh??? I know for a FACT that there was no water or maggots under the house. There was nothing under there for maggots to "grow" in!!! And even if there were, are you telling me that a PLUMBER can't go up under the house cos there might be some "maggots and water" there, when a PLUMBER has to deal with sewage all the time??? I went up under there, and I'm a GIRL! I called these people on Thursday morning, and once again, left a message. And once again, I got no reply. I might add that I didn't know that they had called AHS on Wed. evening, until I called AHS on Friday and complained that these people were not returning my calls, nor were they coming out to my house when they said they would. Then and only then, did I find out what they had once again said. By this time, it had been 10 days since I first reported the leak. Really, people? In the meantime, I'm having to wash my clothes at my neighbor's house. AHS said they would talk to the owner of the company (that has 3 whole employees, one of them being the owner), and see if there was someone else they could send out, since these 20 year old kids obviously didn't want to get their pants dirty. AHS doesn't call me back until yesterday, and leaves half a message on my machine (why didn't they call my work number, so I could speak to them?). The gist of the message was that what *I* needed to do was not use the drains that were leaking for a few days (how am I supposed to know which pipes are leaking if they won't come look?), and get some lime spread around up under there to dry it out/ kill the germs, because the contractors don't want to catch an illness. Really? Really?? Really??? I guess if I hadn't gone up under there myself, I wouldn't know which pipes were leaking. Cos you know, I'm a GIRL, and I'm not afraid to put plastic down on some DIRT and look for a freaking leak. Under a house. Where I might "catch an illness". (Can you tell I'm angry? haha) AHS said that when it was all dry and "clean" up under there, that I was to call CPR Services and then they would come out and look. (Clean dirt? What's that?) Really? I'm supposed to call a company and leave a message (cos they have no secretary), knowing full well that they will NEVER call me back? I asked AHS why couldn't they just send another contractor out??? They said they couldn't do that, cos CPR has never said they couldn't fix it. Well of course not, they just want to drag it all out cos they don't WANT to fix it! Holy cow, Batman. These people are as worthless as teats on a bull. I told AHS that it WAS dry up under there, and they needed to send them out NOW. Supposedly they called them when I hung up, and supposedly CPR Services is going to call me today and set up another appointment to come out. Yeah right! I will be waiting til the cows come home. In the meantime, I guess I'm supposed to move out of my house so that the *dirt* will be clean enough and dry enough for these yahoos to mess around in. I am flabbergasted. There is no sewage leak, there are no maggots. I wouldn't hire these people to dig a ditch.
Description of Work: They were SUPPOSED to come fix some leaky pipes under my house.

WELL STILL IN THE PROCESS, YET WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED.
Description of Work: This company came out to repair a water heater, due to American Home Shield. We used AHS as a secondary insurance to repair items in the house that needed quick repair. Well our water heater malfunction March 5, 2010, due to military obligations I return to the unit to find the water heater was not repaired and now I had to come out my pocket $6,000 to fix flooring, roofing, and wall damage. Called AHS to repair the item, they sent it out to research and other than getting my wife to stall the company I hired to come out and evaluated the damage for a month we decided to fix these repairs ourselves. Well, as of yesterday, my wife has received constant calls from CPR Services, as well as ASH to fix the repairs. Well they are no longer repairs, because I contracted a reliable company to fix the issues. FIX THE SAME ISSUES I STATED TO AHS HAVING BACK IN MARCH....THIS COMPANY AS WELL AS CPR SERVICES STINK....AND BELIEVE ME THIS ISN'T THE LAST THEY WILL HEAR FROM ME...
