Bob showed up between the estimated hours, got to work straight away and replaced the arms to the door of our lower wall unit oven in record time. It had been broken since we moved in (we would turn on the oven and the door popped open and stayed open), but we were too cheap to get it fixed so we did without. Turned out replacing the entire double ovens is $3,000 and this fix was less than $250. What were we thinking? Will continue to use Columbia Appliance without hesitation because they are on time , knowledgeable and decently priced. Cannot ask for more than that.

There was a minor problem to begin with because they send a guy you really didn't know what he was doing and we got lucky because he was sick the day he was suppose to come out and try to fix it. They sent another guy and this guy knew what he was doing. He's basically able to diagnose the problem differently than the first guy. He was out here the next morning and had it repaired in about 15 minutes. They were responsive. The second guy they sent was top notch.

On time, renters very very happy with professionalism. Received follow up phone call.

The service technician called me the morning that the service was to be performed to ask me a couple of questions before coming. I am an engineer and was able to check a few things in advance, so he told me a couple of other items to check before he came out and had to charge me. I checked these items and he even called me back with an additional item to check. Unfortunately I had to replace the refrigerator, but the tech saved me the price of a service call by helping me to troubleshoot the issue before coming out. Most companies would have just come out and charged me the $75 for the call to tell me that it needed to be replaced. I appreciate the help and would not hesitate called them again.

Went to provider's location first to consider purchasing a new ice-maker versus repairing old one. Representative was very knowledgeable with the machine on display, and after weighing the cost of repairing a 7 yr old one versus a new improved one, we decided to go new. The provider had the new one installed and working the very next day. Both the sales rep and service technician were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Would definitely use them again for new appliance purchase and service.

They were very good. The same person worked on both items. He had to order a part for one but it came in quickly. I found their price to be comparable to what everybody else was charging. The gentleman was very nice and informative. He answered my questions and sort of gave me a tutoring. He didn't mind me watching, I said I would like to watch so that I could learn and he said that was great and that he didn't mind. When he found out what was wrong, he showed and said what they do and why they do it that way. It all just made since the way that he was doing. They did fine. He was real good. I had other questions in general just in case I had to buy something new and he was very personable but also very knowledgeable. The only thing I hated is that they charged a service fee and it was to come out and look at two appliances. The service call was like $75 to come out and then labor on top of that so it was $75 just to come out and look and an additional $20 because they were going to be looking at a second appliance. They were fine. We are military family so this is the first house we have ever owned and so the first time we've ever had to use repairman because usually when we are living on a military installation, we call in a work order and they come and repair. We don't repair it because we are in a military quarters and they are responsible for it. Other than going online and comparing prices, they were comparable to other people that I looked up so they were right in there. His quality of work was very good.

Nick did a great job repairing my dryer and quickly replaced bulbs in oven.

It went fine, except that I felt ripped off at the end.

I called Columbia Appliance after my Kenmore washer made a very loud metallic noise, had a burning smell that did not dissipate, and stopped spinning. They were able to come at my convenience. The representative arrived promptly, opened the front of the washer and made a thorough inspection of its interior, testing various parts. He discovered that the motor was burned out. He recommended, based on the age of the washer (12 years) and the anticipated cost of repairs, that it would be in my best interest to purchase a new one. There was also water standing in the base of the washer (not in the tub, but in the actual base) which explained a mysterious leak that had been appearing in my living room ceiling for several months. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and advice from the Columbia Appliance Repairman. The gentleman was clean, confident and obviously experienced enough that he gained my trust. I will definitely call them again.

Very well considering I need a new machine.

They were prompt. They came in and did not doddle. They took the machine apart, went to get the parts, and he fixed it within 45 minutes. They came just when they said they would come too.

This was the second experience with Columbia Appliance for repairs - the first was when my washing machine stopped working on the weekend - I called Columbia Appliance on Monday morning and they came by lunchtime. (I live in a rural area of Eastover) They had the part and fixed it immediately. They were very professional. Several weeks later my refrigerator stopped working - again I called early in the morning and they were here by lunch time. Again they had the part and repaired the refrigerator immediately. While working on the refrigerator they noticed the handle was loose and repaired that without being asked. Also while here I asked if they could look at my warming drawer oven - they very willingly did and also replaced that part immediately. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Technician arrived within 2 hours of call. Diagnosed problem in about 15 minutes and replaced defective part in 30 minutes. Cleaned up mess and provided helpful tips on temp settings. Excellent service at reasonable price (appliance parts aren't cheap)

The entire call only took about 15 minutes and he basically charged me only for one hour labor so I appreciate his honesty. I will use them again in the future.

They waited till late in the afternoon (after 3 pm) and called me back, said they couldn't make it, and that while they were and quot;sorryand quot; they couldn't help me. They knew I didn't have anyone who could meet the service man or meet them at another time. They waited until I couldn't get anyone else and then broke the appointment. AT $70 to come look at a problem...just to diagnose, not to repairl...you would think they would try to deliver good service and if they make a mistake, they would do what it takes to correct it. Even though they knew the difficult position they were putting me in, they didn't care. They made a mistake with their scheduling, and that's unfortunate, but I acted in good faith. They were not willing to correct their mistake and accomodate my needs. They didn't deliver anything but excuses. They were all too ready to take my money, but not ready to deliver on their promises. They didn't care about the inconvenience. I didn't want apologies--I wanted help with a problem. I was willing to pay for their expertise and service without haggling. I may be old fashioned, but I was raised to believe that the customer is right and that businesses rely on the customer's money to support their cash flow and stay in business. I was taught that the customer should be accomodated within reason. I wasn't asking anything unreasonable...just for them to come when they said and if it was a mistake, to fix it. Send a different service person. Send the owner. I don't care who comes...I just wanted them to deliver the service they promised and that I arranged to be off to receive. If a company commits to provide service, they should provide it . Deal with someone you can count on...but it is NOT this company!!!!!

My washing machine stopped working on a Saturday. I called Columbia Appliance on the following Monday a technician was availalbe to come to my home on Tuesday; but to accommodate my schedule the technician was scheduled for Wednesday. The part was ordered and they arrived to repair my washing machine on the following Monday.

The dryer now heats correctly. The gentleman also gave us some money saving tips on the use of the dryer.

I think he did a really good job. He was very thorough. I will definitely use them again in the future.

It was going to be $400 to fix it, so I decided to just buy a new oven. I've always used this company. They service my area, which is out in the country.

My dryer was making noise. When the service technician arrived, it was determined that it was simply that the back vent had slipped off the back of the dryer.

Angela answered the phone each time we called and quickly set up appointments. Mark arrived on time with tools needed to do the job. He worked with me to determine numerous issues with my appliances. He tried to fix my dishwasher on the spot, a 20 year old model but still running. He also looked at a crack in my built-in microwave oven and assured me it was just cosmetic. My ovens, both less then 10 years old needed repair and my refrigerator less than 5 years old were repairable. He warned me that the panel circuit boards for the oven would be expensive. Angela called me with a quote before ordering the parts and I agreed to proceed with the repairs. Mark called again to insure I understood the breakdown of the costs and to let me know they were still waiting on one part to arrive. Angela called me to schedule once all the parts arrived. They worked with me, even when I had to reschedule due to another appointment. Again, Mark arrived on time and completed the repairs in a timely manner. He explained each repair; advised me to watch the temperature on the refrigerator as it would probably cool better, bled the line for the filter after replacing with a new one, turned the oven on to make sure it worked, and told me to call if there were any problems with the repairs. It has been 24 hours and the appliances are working and even the dishwasher which he just adjusted is working better. Thank you for a great experience, I would use Columbia Appliance and Service Inc again.

I called to schedule an appointment and was given one the very next day with a time frame for repairman arrival. Company called when repairman was on his was on his way and he arrived within time frame as promised. He appeared to be very knowlegable and listened as I explained the problem and showed him how the defrost was not working and preventing proper cooling of the refrigerator. He took apart the freezer, defrosted the interior so I would have a working fridge until the part arrived. I attempted to pay him, but he told me to wait until the repair was completed. The part arrived Monday (much faster than i expected because of the weekend) and the company called, scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. Again the repairman arrived on time and performed the repair with no mess, no fuss. I was very pleased with the prompt and courteous service.

The service representative was on time and called before he arrived. Within 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem as a burned out transmission and suggested a new washing machine since repairing the current one would be expensive. He said he would prefer being able to repair it, but that was not the most economical thing to do. He made suggestions as to what to look for in a new machine and what to be cautious about when listening to sales people. He indicated that Columbia Appliances sold washing machines, but did not do a hard sell. The $70.00 was the cost of a service call.

Excellent overall service! The service call was scheduled for the next day after my contact with Columbia Appliance. I was given an appointment range of between 9:00 a.m and 12:00 noon. The dispatcher contacted me mid morning to let me know that Jerry would soon be finishing the job ahead of me. She contacted me shortly thereafter to let me know he was on his way to my house. Jerry was very professional and seemed to know exactly what he was doing.
