 + -1 moreJust who I was looking for! My antique lamps- 2 Aladdin and a pair of Stiffel- were cleaned, rewired, and new shades added. Part of one had to be rebuilt and he did a great job. It's hard to find people who truly have a passion for what they do and Mr. Thomas's work examplifies that. He also has every kind of lamp shade you can imagine and many beautiful lamps for sale. A true craftsman whom I highly recommend!

Description of Work: My antique Stieff lamp caught fire in the socket and actually flamed. The socket and bulb were black and the socket completely burned. They replaced the socket and switch. Lamp as good as new now!

Description of Work: I took an oriental lamp to him to be repaired. They were wonderful and took it right away, told me to come back in an hour, and it was finished and well done. The price was much less than I expected. They know what they're doing!!

 + -1 moreThe wiring for the picture was completely redone and now works perfectly. As far as the lamp that needed a part soldered together, Caro Thomas Lamps does not do soldering. However, he gave me the name of a very fine man who could do this for me. I appreciate Carl's efficiency for he got the lighted picture back to me in 2 days. He was friendly, business-like and very helpful in his desire to help. I do recommend Carl Thomas Lamps, Inc. with as high a rating as I can give.
Description of Work: I took in an old lighted picture to be repaired. The cord had been frayed from years of us, making it unsafe to use. I also took in an old Tiffany style lamp that needed a piece welded on. The wiring was fine on the second light.

 + -1 moreExcellent. Mr. Thomas is a craftsman, completed one repair on schedule and a second while I waited, at a very reasonable cost. His store not only sells lamps and lighting fixtures, but has a very extensive stock of replacement shades of all types, as well as other parts. Cost for repair of three lamps was very moderate.
Description of Work: Repair a Thailand-made lamp whose socket and electrical wiring came apart. Repair, provide new sockets, wiring, harps, plugs and cords to two lamps whose wiring was old, and whose plugs needed replacement because of having been used previously in Europe.
