Burgin Roofing gets my highest recommendation. We hired them to reroof our house several years ago based on recommendations from neighbors. They gave us a competative quote and the work was done well and on time. Last weekend during a "1000 Year" rain we had a small leak near our chimney. Burgin sent someone out within a couple of days. He inspected our whole roof and resealed the chimney flashing at no charge. He noted our chimney cap is in poor shape and recommended we call a reputable chimney sweep to have it replaced. Excellent service all around.

Great. Mr. Burgin came out day after my call for assessment. Within two days I received a very Professional Estimate in the mail, binder form and color printed pages. I also obtained two other roofers quotes and chose to use Burgin due to the professional proposal, other good reports about Burgin on Angies list and cost. In addition, his quote gave lifetime warranty, which is also transferrable to new owner if I sell my home. He quoted the top line of GAF shingles and all other top of the line GAF products. His supervisor Chuck Metts showed up with the crew early every morning and was on the job all day. All in all, did a great job and would hire again.

After another contractor botched the job, Burgin repaired it correctly and it has not leaked again - even after multiple heavy rains. I was concerned that the job was too small for them, but that was not the case and I'm very grateful for the excellent work and professionalism.

When it was time to replace our roof, I checked the reviews on Angie's List and got input from people in my neighborhood regarding roofers. Burgin was highly recommended and highly rated. The job went well from start to finish. The crew was punctual, professional and got the roof done in less than 2 days. Quality of the work was excellent. The job supervisor remained on site during the entire time, something that I really appreciated. He was available to answer any questions and ensured that everything went smoothly, from the delivery of materials to clean up upon completion. The crew took extra care to protect shrubbery and air conditioning units as well as using a magnetic roller to pick up any nails before leaving. I was very satisfied with this company and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Estimate and actual work were both performed very promptly. Work done as quoted and expected. Very professional.

The fact that Burgin Roofing informed us that our 20-year old roof appeared to be showing wind damage and might be covered by our homeowners insurance -- when other estimators did not -- was the reason we hired them in the first place. Every other aspect of our interaction with Burgin continued to exceed our expectations. The crew was extremely professional, arriving exactly when scheduled and carefully cleaning up each day. When a falling ladder caused a small scratch on a window, project manager quickly arranged and paid for Ace Glass to come out and repair it. The only possible criticism, and it is a small one, was that there was a long waiting list for service and we had to wait 4 months for them to get to us. This was not a problem since we were not yet experiencing any leaks. I expect that a situation with an existing leak could be scheduled much faster. All in all, we could not have been more pleased with Burgin Roofing, and we whole heartedly recommend them to anyone need roofing services.

May 2015: I didn't have any issues with my roof except that it was probably close to time for new shingles. So, I contacted a couple of roofers including Burgin. Burgin's estimator Darrel stopped by my house to write up an estimate. He recommended the three tab 30-year Atlas and since Burgin is just 5 minutes from my home, Darrel offered to drop off samples of the proposed Atlas at my front door. I heard good things about GAF. His office sent a second estimate for a 25-year three tab GAF royal sovereign for the same price as the Atlas. Burgin had a 4 month waiting list so if I had hired this company, I had to wait about 4 months. Darrel said Burgin doesn't sub out work. Then, in October, South Carolina had the 100 year rain. My roof had a small leak near the front door. ...well I had to do something. Thank God for friends and family! Some friends of ours replaced my shingles with 50 year Architectural GAF Timberline HD for $1,000 less in 2 days (Saturday included) and even sealed my chimney cause I had holes and cracks that were letting in rain. My buddies left a good portion of the original rubber intact beneath the 15 pound paper and added new waterproofing where needed. My friends even had a detail material list down to the last roofing nail for their pneumatics. Then in June 2016 some more friends of mine who probably built most of my neighbors brick homes fix the Chimney leak and rebuilt a portion of my chimney including a new chimney crown for $650. I gave them an extra $100 for their excellent workmanship and professionalism. ...So, the story goes, I didn't hire Burgin but based on the reviews here, they probably will do a good job for you without knowing anything about who they are. Burgin would have installed a 3 tab instead of architectural. And yes, Burgin is probably a little more expensive than its competitors. I chose to hire instead, friends I know who are good Christian people.

Came when they said they would, brought it in slightly below estimate, and cleaned up very well before leaving.

Initial inspection to work completion took months, but the October rains caused extensive damage throughout the area. The estimate did not make clear how little area of roofing would be replaced - would have preferred to have been educated on that, and given the option to replace the rest of the small slope so there would not be the night & day color difference due to the older shingle having a black coloration compared to the white/gray of the new shingles. The workmanship seems great, no payment until work was completed, and very friendly folks. I just felt that our expectations were not set properly. I did assume that more roofing would be replaced for the price.

Burgin was EXCELLENT! They came out to give an estimate the same week I called. I had some shingles sliding off and a worrisome dip in the roof line against the chimney. He was knowledgeable and patient with this explanation and quoted an extremely reasonable price that included replacing my kitchen vent cover (because it had been installed incorrectly) and the rest of the vent caps on the roof (ditto). He even used a drone to take pictures so he could instruct his workers on exactly what needed doing. They came out a few weeks later to do the work and said it might take a couple of hours. When repairing the dip near the chimney, they found extensive water damage, not only to the board, but to the studs underneath as well. They took all day, fixed EVERYTHING, and didn't change the price one bit! It was amazing. They did so much more than they were contracted for, but when I asked what the price increase would be for the extended repairs, they said, "Nothing. We quoted you and that's what you'll pay." I was very impressed with both the quality of the work and the integrity of the company. Call them.

A great experience. Job was finished in two days. Any concerns or problems were immediately addressed to our satisfaction. Clean-up was done well. And the price was much less than we paid last time...20 years ago!

They were excellent. We had a lot of people in our neighbourhood who used them. They did a great job. They came back and they checked on it. They were probably one of the best experiences I’ve had with contractors.

About six people came to do the job. Architectural roof -one of the best. They took old shingles off and replaced it with new ones. It took the about a day and half to complete the job. They were professional had everything organized. The workers worked well together. They cleaned very well. They did a professional job. I was very satisfied with them.

Every aspect of this work from our initial contact and estimate through the final clean up and administration was performed in a most professional manner. Schedules, plans and promises were kept to the letter throughout. Customer wishes were met and customer property was respected and protected. Required material arrived on time. Workers stayed on task and were not interrupted by personal cell phones or boom boxes. Special care was taken to assure proper repair and installation of the new roof. Everything was cleaned up and put away at the end of the first day. A very thorough clean up was accomplished at the end of the job (second day). Post installation follow-up was conducted to assure satisfaction. All-in-all a superb seldom-found top quality job.

Overall job was done very well but had a couple issues that we were not expecting. They evidently use a longer nail on shingles today so when they re-roofed our outdoor porch, the nails all came through the ceiling and are now visible. We were not informed that this would occur and there is no easy fix. Also, due to longer nails, the attic now has a lot of particles due to the longer nails punching out particles from the ceiling wood. They failed to send me a notice to cover up any items stored in the attic so we had a lot of wood chips to clean up. Quality was very good and no leaks so far. The crew worked well together and finished quickly.

Stuart Burgin provided a very professional proposal and sent us a letter a week before the project was to start explaining the process and what we should expect. They were on time and Melvin, the supervisor, was very friendly and informative of how the job was progressing. They took great care in protecting the plants and shrubs around the house. They finished on time and cleaned up so well that you would never know they were even there except for the beautiful new roof. We highly recommend their services.

The work was done quickly with no wasted time. Quality was excellent. There was a small amount of damage to some plants from falling shingles. Burgin took care of that with no questions asked when presented with a replacement estimate from a nursery.

In both cases, Stuart came out, and it was a collar on a vent that had gotten cracked. He said it wasn't worth the paperwork to charge for it. That was above and beyond the call of duty. That's good service! We are going to be needing a roof soon and I will definitely be calling him.

As a part of the roof replacement, Burgin suggested that rather than installing the flashing under existing siding, that I pay them an additional $400 to install the flashing outside the siding with trim boards to cover it. I wasn't to pleased with that because it's not a normal practice, but agreed and paid the additional $400 not covered by my insurance. The trim had to be caulked/sealed and painted. Now a few years later, the caulk has dried, shrunk and is in need of resealing/painting. Since I had originally paid extra and let Burgin do what they suggested, I went back to them for this maintenance. I was told by Stuart Burgin that my roof was the very last one that they had done that sort of trim work on and no longer did and quot;carpentry workand quot;. I cannot image a roofing company that doesn't do carpentry work

Very pleased with response. They responded quickly to our request to have the entire roof replaced and provided a timely and professional estimate. Proposed costs were slightly higher than other contractor quotes, but the salesman provided details/reasons for this - they use more costly products and provide some additional services as part of their standard quote. We actually didn't deceide on any contractor as we had to defer the significant costs until some time later.

Burgin Roofing employees showed up on time and worked throughout the day. They cleaned up the first day's mess even though they were coming back the next day. When they returned they finished the job. It looks great and after three years I have had no problems. Their quote was the same as the bill which did not show up for three weeks after the job was completed. No money was required prior to completion and my total satisfaction.
