Description of Work: They came in and sampled the air quality and did a visual inspection of my entire house and AC Unit for mold. They took air samples from every room and visually identified even the smallest points of concern. Plus they gave me good tips on how to address my concerns both on my own, and with the help of others. I ended up using both methods. Using them and their knowledge brought my family a great sense of relief and encouragement.

Description of Work: This was only an estimate but Mr. Grise was very forthcoming and provided all the answers to my questions. The work that they estimated is reasonable and seems thorough. At his suggestion and before they complete their work. we are having a new roof put of so it may be another 2 weeks or so before the actual job is complete but I am confident that we will be quite satisfied.

Description of Work: Took care of water damage/mold abatement in sunken living room to include wall and carpet removal, fans and dehumidifier over a 5 day period. Four workers on site for one full day, then equipment running with personal on site checks every two days. All equipment removed on 6th day. Water and mold gone. Odor from water damage completely gone. Very satisfied with the work of this company. Staff were friendly, competent and task oriented.

Description of Work: Ancel, Ted and their staff are second to none. Having dealt with them on two separate occasions I cannot say enough about their quality of service, level of expertise, attention to detail, and ethics. There is simply no comparison. On one job they had to finish a repair which another lesser company had done improperly leaving too high of moisture levels behind and consequently causing mold growth. Biotek fixed the botched remediation by the others.

Description of Work: Did an inspection and took air samples as per the Angie's List deal, which offered 5 samples for a discounted price. Inspector was professional, honest and friendly. Did not use scare tactics or other hard sell tactics that some other mold inspection companies did. Gave estimate for thorough basement remediation with dehumidifier, which was pricey, but said that in our situation, this full remediation was not really necessary, and we could get by with a few upgrades. This company only does the whole enchilada, which is why they offer the guarantee, but will not try to sell you this unless it's really necessary. You can always do it anyway if you have extra cash you'd like to spend on perfection. This seems to be an honest company with integrity.

Description of Work: Performed a thorough mold and air analysis of the house, including attic and crawlspace and thermographic imaging of the exterior walls. The technician went through room by room and explained everything he was doing very well. He offered some immediate suggestions based on his inspection and then followed up approximately a week later with the detailed results from the air analysis.

Our HVAC contractor found mold inside our AC drain pan and a duct spider box. He told us we should get a professional mold inspection before he would replace the box and pan. He recommended BioTek and gave us their phone number. I was concerned about what a mold expert would tell us as I know next to nothing about mold other than it's bad. I called BioTek and Mr. Hamilton (President) said he was in the area and could come over in 30 minutes. He asked about the issues we were having and did an inspection of the crawl space. Mr. Hamilton was very good at demystifying the dangers and issues involved with mold and did it in a way I could understand. In the end he explained that the drain pan and box in the HVAC did need to be replaced. The rest of the crawl space did not need any further work and reassured us we did not have a major mold issue. It is refreshing and extremely satisfying to have a company like BioTek that specializes in a mysterious and sometimes frightening area be honest and educational on short notice.
