I discovered some damage to the garage doors in my home left by previous owner, and sought advice. Left a message with the company and received a call back the same day. I was told there would be $40 call out charge if they did not perform any service. An appointment was made for the next day. A technician arrived at the appointed time, and I showed him my concerns regarding the two doors. One door had malfunctioning obstruction sensors. The technician showed me that they were indeed malfunctioning and not simply misaligned. (This confirmed my suspicion as I had attempted to align them myself. ) The sensors were replaced at a price of $99 inclusive of both parts and labor. The other door had the bracket that attaches the door to the drive system break away from the door itself. The technician explained to me why this particular failure occurred, and his plan to repair it. The portion of the door where the bracket attaches was reinforced with additional steel bars to prevent the same failure from occurring again, and the bracket was re-attached. This repair was also billed at $99 inclusive of both parts and labor. The technician also performed a visual inspection of both doors for any other potential issues and informed me of what issues I might see in the future, and what preventative steps were available to me. All work was completed in approximately two hours.
Description of Work: Repair of non-functional obstruction sensors. Repair of broken Door bracket.
