Description of Work: In trying to sell my mom's older home we decided to replace some carpeting that looked okay but had a slight smell from old pet wetting. We were transitioning from one listing period to another and needed a quick job, and 4A's Flooring America came out within 24 hours to get started. They gave great budget-friendly advice, and were very knowledgable about how to get the pet smells out of the wood floors underneath before putting new carpet down. They got the old carpet up quickly and then when an unexpected buyer came through the night before they put the carpet in and wanted the carpet installation stopped, they were willing to stop and only charge us for what they had done. We were amazed at their flexibility, kindness and reasonable prices. Our only regret is that when we ended up having to refinish the wood floors instead, 4A's doesn't do that anymore. We would have loved to have worked with them more!

The experience was pretty good. The price was a little bit high for the job. The follow up was lacking. They were supposed to get somebody out here to look at the floor and the guy never showed.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from 4A's Flooring America to install vinyl flooring.

I went to Flooring America on November 4th, 2013, spoke with Phil Jackson about replacing carpet in my home. He said he would call the next morning (Nov. 5) about coming out and measuring the rooms. Today is November 10, 2013, he has not called.

I have always had a great experience with this company. The salespeople are great and don't try to oversell you. The installation is swift and clean and they're in and out. I wouldn't have my floors done by anyone else!

Although we work very hard to satisfy every customer, there are obvioulsy times when we are unable to accomplish that goal. In order for us to improve our services, we want to know specifically what has gone wrong on jobs in which customers were not completely satisfied. I would love to hear more specifics about your experience and what we could have done differently to change your view of our services. These guys did a great job. They went out of their way to match our existing flooring. They tracked down the original builder to confirm what was used on the house. The salesman even brought samples by the house late one evening so that we could make sure it was the right stuff. The install crew did an excellent job as well. They came when they said they were going to come, got right to work and knocked the job out. I had some rotten sub-floor that had to be repaired so they did what they could and came back just when they said they would to finish things up.
Description of Work: Ripped up the old nasty carpet an hauled it off. Installed new hardwood flooring in our living room.

do not reccommend!
Description of Work: I needed a quick carpet replacement on an investment property. Called on Friday and they were planning to come out on Saturday morning to measure. I rearranged my schedule to meet them at the property. Waited and they never showed up. Wasted an entire morning of my time and never heard from them again!

I understand how frustrating it can be to rearrange your schedule and then have someone else who does not live up to their end of the bargain. Although I see that this event took place a while ago, I can assure you that I will make every effort to find out who was involved and how the ball was dropped. Again, I apologize that you had to go through this experience, but hopefully everyone in our company can grow and learn from this. This type of customer service (or lack thereof) is completely and totally unacceptable.

After being quoted an atrocious price at Home Depot we went to Flooring America hoping for a more reasonable price. They came in at least $500 dollars under Home Depot but that included reusing quarter round and uninstalling and reinstalling the toilets in the bathrooms myself. FA came out to our home and measured the spaces free of charge. Installation was set a week later when it was convenient for us. Three gentlemen showed up a little early on the morning of installation and promptly started work. They moved the drop-in stove as well as the fridge and when they were done with the floor they returned the appliances without a scratch. My only complaint would be that they were a little messy with the adhesive glue used to secure the vinyl. I found some of it on our tub and carpet and it has left a small stain. They were done with the job in about 2 hours. Overall I'm pleased and would use them again.
Description of Work: We needed new vinyl floors installed in our galley kitchen and 2 small bathrooms. There are two locations - one on Two Notch and another on Broad River Road. We worked with Brenda and Jim out of the Broad River store. We picked out a pattern for the kitchen and a different one for the bathrooms. The installation went well and we are happy with our floors.
