Excellent job. I researched several companies and got estimates from three. Researched type of stones used for retaining walls also. HardScapes price was very competitive. Adam, the owner, was easy to deal with, quick to respond with the estimate, had cost saving ideas and was able to answer my questions. My job had a limited working area since the 12 ft backyard drops off to a wooded creek area. I could barely walk around the deck without falling because of the eroding terrain. I was at home during the 4 day project. Michael(foreman) and his crew were great. Showed up early each morning and did an excellent job cleaning up each night. Took the time to answer all my questions and explained what would be taking place each day. I'm a hard to please individual and was very nervous about this project because of the limited work space and bad soil. I had no problems with the job. Can't say enough good things about Hard Scapes. Now I really enjoy the backyard, walk around the deck and my parents can walk in the backyard without falling because now the yard is level. I highly recommend Adam and his crew.--They KNOW Hardscapes.

It was a fantastic expericence. We cannot say enough about the owner, Adam. He was very patient in dealing with us and helping choose the right blend of colors as well as the type of pavers to use for our patio. He made several trips back and forth to our house dropping off different types of pavers for us to help make up our mind. Adam also helped design the type of patio that worked the best with our house and our backyard. All of his workers were very professional and worked hard when they were onsite. Very impressive company and owner. You just do not find that much anymore. Adam also made sure that we knew how to take care of the patio year after year.

My wife and I initially reached out to several hardscape/landscape companies about completely redoing our backyard. The patio, walkway, and landscaping that was there when we bought the house was poorly designed and installed. The space was bearable, but not enjoyable. We had a very general idea of what we wanted, but we knew that we would need a lot of help designing something that fit our lifestyle and personality. We ended up settling on Adam and Hard Scapes because of his reputation, responsiveness, professionalism, and especially his vision. We initially met with Adam to describe the major design features we wanted included in the project. He promptly came back to us with a design plan that wasn?t as detailed as we expected; however, he assured me that this was only a general concept and the artistic features would come out as the projected unfolded. He couldn?t have been more right. Work began promptly on the day that we agreed upon and I was amazed at how quickly things progressed. The 6 man crew was very efficient. We were fortunate to have Mike oversee the production management of the project with Adam stopping in several times a day to ensure everything was done properly and on time. We had anticipated that there would be some major hurdles along the way. The problems that did arise were handled immediately. Within a week most of the prep work had been completed and the large design elements were taking shape. After a 3 day work stoppage, they knocked out the rest of the project much quicker than I thought possible. I think what impressed us the most was Adam?s flexibility, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction. In his mind there was only one way to do this type of project and that?s the right way. We also appreciated the fact that he recycled most of the material that was removed and even gave us a credit for it. What we ended up with is to some degree a work of art. It?s amazing to me how well everything flows seamlessly from one area to the next.

Adam Simpson, the owner, did a superb job of helping me. I do believe he did his best to keep my costs to a minimum....building the wall correctly with the proper materials and engineering after I got totally used by the first contractor. His workers were totally on time, hard working and pleasant to have on my property. The wall and patio look beautiful.

They were very good. He came out when he said he would come out and they were all finished in about 3 days. The work that they did looks great and their prices were competitive.

Overall the job went well. Started off a little slow with phone tag/ email tag slowing things down. Once we agreed on a final design and price, Adam and his team had it done in around 3 days, which was faster than I expected. The built in grill and burner worked out exactly as I wanted - the 15% contractor discount at a BBQ/grill store in was an unexpected bonus. There was a bit messing around digging the trench for the gas/electrical line and some slow down due to bad weather putting the finishing touches on the project, but not too bad.

Andy's inputs on the walkway not only resulted in a superior product from an aesthetic standpoint, it also saved me approximately $2000. Additionally, he provided a better base for the walkway versus that proposed by other contractors. He also provided a drain @ no additional cost to me. An outstanding product that was done in a timely manner.

I contacted Adam and we set the appointment to discuss the work. I showed him what I was looking for and he got back with me in a couple of days with a quote and stone samples. When we decided on the stone, Adam gave me a start date. Adam, and his team, showed up on the date promised and started the project. The workers kept the site very clean with no issues. At the completion of the job and after the workers cleaned up and left, I contacted Adam about the project. Although the work was done as it was stated, I informed Adam that we were not happy with the results of the wall and it was not what we were looking for. Adam came out the next work day and looked at the wall and scheduled his crew to come back. Adam, and his team, again did a great job. The crew was quick and did great work on the stone. Not only did we get a good job done on our project, Adam went out of his way to make sure that we were completely happy with the finished product...and we are. I would use Adam again!

Job was fast, efficient, professional and fairly priced. The work was related to a house purchase/closing and Adam and his team were timely and hardworking. We were very pleased.

Answered my call promptly and came out quickly. Had many ideas for design & was personable. Emailed me a written estimate within 2 or 3 days. We decided to go with another company but were impressed with this guy.

ADAM RETURNED MY CALL, WAS ON TIME FOR A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, GAVE US AN ESTIMATE QUICKLY. HIS CREWS WERE ABLE TO DO THE JOB SOONER THAN WE HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED, WHICH WAS GREAT! THEY DID A GREAT JOB!

PRICING WAS FAIR FOR JOB AS COMPARED TO OTHER CONTRACTORS. SCHEDULING THE WORK TO BEGIN WAS A BIT DISORGANIZED. ONCE THEY STARTED THE JOB, HE AND HIS TEAM WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON THE TERRACING AND SLATE STEPS. WE WEREN'T AS HAPPY WITH THE PATHWAYS, BUT WHEN WE TOLD ADAM, HE HAD THE WORK DONE TO OUR LIKING RIGHT AWAY. RECOMMEND THAT HOMEOWNERS CLARIFY WITH ADAM HOW THE WORKSITE SHOULD LOOK WHEN THE PROJECT IS FINISHED (FOR EXAMPLE, IS DIRT RAKED SMOOTH? WILL SEEDING BE DONE? ETC.)

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. PRICE WAS THE BEST, AND QUALITY OF WORK AND RESPONSIVENESS TO COMMUNICATIONS WERE BOTH TOP NOTCH. SELDOM SEE THAT MIX OF PRICE, QUALITY AND SERVICE. ONLY BAD THING WAS THE SCREECH OF THE STONE SAW, BUT YOU CAN'T BLAME THEM FOR THAT!

COMPARED PRICES TO ANOTHER LOCAL PAVING COMPANY AND HANDS DOWN HARDSCAPES WAS THE BEST PRICE. ADAM WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH; PROMPT AND FAST AND THE DRIVE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. HAS BEEN BY OUR HOUSE SINCE TO CHECK ON OUR SATISFACTION WITH THE WORK. WE HAVE A LOT MORE PAVING TO DO, HE IS WORKING WITH US TO DO IT IN PHASES.

HE FORGOT ABOUT THE FIRST APPOINTMENT THAT WE SET UP AND HE DIDN'T EVEN CALL. WE RESCHEDULED AND AGAIN HE DID NOT SHOW UP.

OUT OF 5 BIDS THEY WERE THE BEST PRICE AND MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE, GREAT INPUT ON DESIGN, VERY ARTISTIC AND I AM VERY PLEASED.

THEY COMPLETED ALL THE ABOVE PROJECTS. THEY ARE THE HARDEST WORKING CREW I HAVE EVER HIRED. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL,STRAIGHT FORWARD AND FAIR. VERY BUSY SO YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT BUT ITS WORTH THE WAIT.

PAVING STONEWORK COSTS A LITTLE MORE THAT HAVING CONCRETE WORK DONE, BUT, TRUST ME, IT IS WELL WORTH THE COST. IT IS MORE BEAUTIFUL AND A JOY TO SPEND TIME ON ENTERTAINING FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
