Gooding's Plumbing

We've hired Gooding's plumbing for many different jobs ranging from replacing old toilets and faucets to installing a new line in the laundry room. They've also did the plumbing work for our master bathroom remodel. Bill and his team are very professional, responsive, their prices are fair, and do high-quality work. We'll hire them every time we need a plumber.

It went very well. They guys who did the work were very friendly and professional. There was a leaking issue with one of the faucets they installed. But they responded quickly to the issue and fixed the problem. Very professional and accountable for their craftmanship.

The employee who came out was on time, very professional, and was able to perform the work for the estimated cost. Because he had to cut through dry wall, it was a messy job. He cleaned up and left it like it was before. I would use this provider again.

The job started off on the 'wrong foot' when Billl called at 8:30 am on Monday to 'reschedule'. He said that he had 'customers' who had no water due to the freeze conditions. I explained that I had taken a day off from work and would lose pay to stay home again. So he reluctantly agreed to come later at 10:30. Since he was afraid to break off one of the stall shower handles he told me I needed to cut a hole in the wall and purchase an entire valve set. Also, through no fault of his, the 3 faucets I had purchased would not fit the existing sinks so I had to place an order. On Wednesday I called to let him know that the replacement parts had arrived. He reminded me of all of his 'customers' who had no water and how he could not come that day but 'definitely' if the snow melted tomorrow (Thursday) he would swing by and take care of the rest of the job. I reminded him that I needed the plumbing work completed by the end of the week since I had other providers coming on Monday and Tuesday of next week. We agreed to speak on Thursday morning. When I had not heard from him by noon, I called and left a message Thursday and received no callback on Thursday nor Friday. Realizing by Friday that Bill must not consider me a 'customer' and would not be helping me out within my requested schedule, I rescheduled the providers that were supposed to arrive on Monday so I could arrange for another plumber to complete the work. The new plumber arrived on Monday and was able to switch out the stall shower handle (with no problem) that Bill told me needed an additional $127 valve set and a hole in the wall. Also, the new plumber re-worked the three faucet handles that Bill installed since the way Bill installed them had the handles working in all different directions with no consistency. In addition, I had to return the unnecessary valve set to the plumbing supply store and call Delta to order replacement parts that were not installed in the faucet handles.

I called him the night before and he was able to come out first thing the following morning. He was on time, very professional, and able to find and fix the leak. We will call him again.

Bill has done work for us in the past and we can't say enough good things about him. Bill (and Troy who performed the work for us this morning) are incredible. Bill is always very knowledgeable. He is very quick to respond to my calls, even this morning at 7:30am. Troy was out this morning, checked a faucet that had been leaking and adjusted my hot water pressure after I had managed to screw it up with my own and quot;tinkeringand quot;. Troy was prompt, professional, and Bill didn't even charge us for coming out this morning. Have you ever heard of such a thing in today's market? It is so wonderful to find a service provider you can trust. I trust Bill to do quality work at a more than reasonable prices. I won't use another plumber, period.

We were not in a hurry to get this done, since our old water heater was working. Bill's mother passed away between the time of the quote and when he was able to install it, but he let us know he was dealing with a family emergency and again, we were not in a hurry. Bill arrived exactly on time the day of installation. He had 2 other workers with him. We had expected it to be an all day job, but he was able to get it done by about 1 pm. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and the old tank taken away. We could not have been more pleased with Bill and the job he did.

Why do things always happen on Fri. evening? As I was preparing dinner, this leak started and would not let up. I called Bill Gooding, who is my regular plumber, knowing that it was after hours. He sent his assistant, Troy, who arrived within 15 minutes. Troy fixed the problem quickly and I paid my bill. I had anticipated a high bill due to the Fri. evening event. So, I paid the big bill and went on with my meal. In a little bit, Bill called me and apologized for the charges, saying that 5 minutes' work was not worth that amount abad that he would tear up the check on Monday. I offered to send him another check, and he said not to worry, that he would just add on a trip charge when he comes again to replace the filters. WOW! Isn't that almost unheard of?! My whole neighborhood enjoys using Gooding's Plumbing and this story tells it all. It's so refreshing to deal with a vendor who is honest and honorable. So pleased to be able to write this glowing review.

I'm very pleased with their service. In fact, when we had that very cold weather in January, my tankless hot water heater stopped working due to a frozen pipe. They came out within an hour of my call that morning and spent a good 1/2 hour trying to trying to unfreeze the pipe. When I asked what the charge was for coming out, he said "don't worry about it" and told me that once the sun to warms up the area, the pipe will unfreeze and everything should be fine. It turns out it was, but I still cannot believe he did not want to paid for this visit. We will certainly call Gooding's for all our future plumbing needs!

These guys were great! They completely re-plumbed a kitchen, bathroom and laundry facility and installed a whole house water filter. Since it was done in between all the other parts of the construction, I really appreciated that fact that Bill Gooding was able to send someone with limited notice, to install whatever the next phase included. They were patient when I got frazzled and kept the project moving forward. I'm already planning my next project and they're at the top of my list to call!

Our hot water heater began to leak late on a Friday afternoon. We called around and then my husband remembered Mr Gooding had replaced a garbage disposal about one year ago. We called Mr Gooding and he agreed to do the work at 9:00 in the morning. His employee was at my door at 9:00 promptly. He was very courteous and got right to work. The job took about 2 hours. The garage was left clean and neat and the old hot water heater taken away. I was so pleased with the service and will definitely call him again for any plumbing needs. He not only had the best price but he also responded to us immediately.

I do a lot of repairs myself but had 3 things that I could not figure out. Bill arrived on time and did the work quickly. A couple of parts were needed that he diidn't have. One is a handle for a faucet. I couldn't fix this problem originally because I couldn't image that the handle would be the problem. Manufacturer replaced this and I installed it when it came. It took Bill's experience to recognize what the issue was. New handle fixed the problem. Similarly, Bill repaired a diverter and got it working but it still wasn't exactly right. I called him about it and he said the diverter would have to be replaced and he could order it. However, I ordered it and installed it when it came. That, too, seems to have fixed the problem. Again, Bill's experience allowed him to diagnose the problem. Installing these things myself were my choices.

Bill was punctual and very professional and his pricing was extremely fair. I have used him in the past for plumbing repairs and will definitely utilize him for future plumbing needs. Highly recommend.

Bill was called late the previous day by my Tile contractor, and came out first thing the next morning (7.30am) to repair plumbing leaks in the shower.Bill was very professional, and did high quality work. He even explained the issues and why they were happening. Great guy, definitely call him.
