Not well.

We used Chad and his crew for our home addition in the fall of 2012 and knew we'd be contacting him when our fence fell a couple months ago. He quickly provided a quote that was a tad cheaper than some other companies we contacted, and since we knew his stellar work ethic we asked him to do the work. Timing was a bit tough - there were some noticeable delay between our emailing him to confirm he had the job and his arriving to do the work itself. He removed the old fence in a timely manner and then it took a good two weeks or more for him to come back to install the new fence. Fortunately, our back neighbors did not have pets so there was no worry about animals escaping!! When he finally had time to come back and install the fences, they were put up in a single day. His crew also took the time to clear out some of the smaller trees along the side fence that had caused the original fence to lean, which was much appreciated. He also told us to keep the kids off the fence for a good 24 hours to let the cement cure so that the fence would be solidly in place (that's how the original fence fell - my kids were climbing over it to go play with their friends). Chad is a very busy contractor - and for good reason! He's good at what he does and his crew is outstanding. Unfortunately, his busy busy schedule leads to my only quibble, which is that if I am sent an email telling me that the work should be "done by next week," then I'd like it done by next week OR get an email with a revised schedule if that deadline cannot be met. I don't like having to chase after a contractor to find out why the work wasn't done when expected. However, Chad does such a great job that I still hold him in esteem and will contact him whenever I have large projects that need to be addressed. Next up: our master bath. That thing needs to be overhauled, and I already know who I'll be calling when the time comes to begin demolition!! I'll just make sure I have no specific deadline in mind for the project to begin.

Chad and his crew were stellar throughout the entire process of adding an extension to our kitchen and eat-in area. He provided a quote that fit our budget (please note that the price listed in this review is for everything he supplied as well as labor - we supplied our own cabinetry, appliances, lighting, flooring and countertops). A friend of ours used CRK last year for their own home addition and they highly recommended him. His quote beat all the others and the bonus was the referral from a trusted friend. He was also clearly knowledgeable during our interview with him and was patient enough to answer all of my questions whereas a couple other contractors glossed over their answers. Work began quickly once we selected him, and the entire process from getting the permit to having the county inspector come for his final inspection was only two months. Chad was also great about letting me purchase my own big ticket items such as the flooring and cabinetry and having his crew install them. His crew and subcontractors were friendly, polite and hardworking - sometimes even coming on the weekends if that was the only time it fit their heavy schedule. Chad was always available via phone, email or messaging, and even answered a couple of my texts while he was on vacation, which I greatly appreciated. My husband and I were impressed every step of the way and plan on using him again in a couple years when we are ready to put in an ensuite bathroom for our guest room. We won't even bother contacting other contractors because we liked Chad's work ethic so much!
