Description of Work: I needed to get in-ceiling surround sound speakers and my DLP projector installed in our new home. We also had to move an Ethernet connection from the opposite wall to the wall on which we installed the screen as well as installed an outlet in the ceiling to power the projector.

All positive references. Jeff was great to deal with and let me know who he was sending out to my home before they arrived. It was a positive experience all around.
Description of Work: Brogdon and Gary were punctual and polite, neat and professional. They had to run electrical and cable to the blank wall above my gas fireplace. The sound bar is attached to the bottom of the tv and the bracket pulls out and rotates. I love it.

 + -1 moreThis is the second time we have hired Hook-It-Up to do work in our home and it was so nice to see the same installers working for the company a year and a half later! The installers were very nice and did a great job setting up the sound bar. Once the sound bar was installed and the TV was hung back on the wall, we had an issue with the TV not working. To shorten the review, the issue had NOTHING to do with what the installers worked on, but sensing our panic of having no internet or cable and a house full of guests, the installers stayed while we called Spectrum to troubleshoot. After about and hour, the installers left and the owner, Jeff Janson stepped in. He was very responsive and offered to come to our house himself to ensure we got everything up and running that day! As it turns out, our rowdy boys knocking a transmitter out of the wall in the playroom caused the problem. Once that was plugged in everything worked!
Description of Work: We had a new sound bar installed.

We have a shoe free home, although we don't really enforce it with visitors, but they noticed we left our shoes at the door and they did the same. I work from home and they didn't disturb me at all. They had to move my son's bed, but they put everything back in order - I never would have known it had been moved if I hadn't seen it. They cleaned up after themselves. We've already recommended them to someone else, and will do so again if the opportunity arises.
Description of Work: We needed an antenna installed on the roof and cables run to several rooms of our house.

They are quick to respond to appointment requests, punctual, very friendly, knowledgeable, quick/efficient, neat (take off their shoes, used a drop cloth, etc) and overall do a great job!!!! I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I had a sound bar and DVD player hooked up to my flat screen tv (mounted to the wall). They ran the cords through the wall and programmed everything to my remote.

 + -1 moreAfter about 6 months on the previous installation and about 1.5 weeks on the second installation, I can say that everything still works great and we haven't experienced any issues so far. In fact, Jeff and team were able to resolve a long standing internet-sync issue we were having. Jeff and team were professional and did a good job in the time specified and the cost was not unreasonable given all that we got done. Would recommend to anyone.
Description of Work: I contacted Jeff at two separate times for two separate jobs in the past 6 months. I bought my house recently and the previous owner had surround sound installed throughout the house. Unfortunately, none of it was working and the components were all over the place. I called Jeff to come down to the house to take a look and recommend what I needed to do to get it operational (and not to break my bank). He performed a diagnostic (for free) and wrote up an estimate for work. The cost was very reasonable and he used as many of my existing equipment and parts to keep the cost down, so we went ahead with the work. His guys came to the house (Gary and Brogden) and hooked everything up and got it working according to what we discussed in the quote. No issues with that work so far and my wife and I love to be in our backyard with the music on. The second time I called Jeff, I needed to get 2 NEW tvs installed and an old tv removed from the wall mount and re-mounted in another room. This was a bit more involved so we collaborated to get the right components for what I ultimately wanted. The cost was reasonable and I found his guys to be very professional. I would definitely recommend going with Jeff for your A/V needs. He was knowledgeable about everything and was very pleasant and easy to work with. He stayed within our budget and most importantly, didn't screw up!

 + -1 moreSince I moved here two years ago I have had multiple contractors in my house for a variety of reasons. The gentleman that came out was so professional. He brought his own drop cloths and covered my carpet, he had his own vacuum! He made sure everything was working and even disconnected my prior service so I did not have to worry about disconnecting the wrong thing. I would say this company provided first class service from the first phone call to the final result. I would definitely recommend and I wish all contractors had this level of customer service!

 + -1 moreJeff was very thorough and worked meticulously to ensure that we were satisfied with the positioning of all of the TVs and the placement of the wiring so that no wires would be visible. We recently had a problem with our TV satellite service that we weren't able to diagnose ourselves. We called Jeff and we were able to set up an evening phone appointment with him the very same day we called. He walked us through the problem over the phone and was able to get our TV back up and running very quickly. Jeff has consistently provided us with excellent customer service!

I came in on vacation days to meet him and he was 45 minutes late saying he was stuck in traffic. I have waited almost three weeks for his quote and he will not return my phone messages or texts. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

 + -1 moreI used Jeff and his crew about a year earlier to add ethernet to my home. They did such a good job that I used them again. This project was a little more straight forward. They ran all the cables needed through the crawl space and up behind the wall to mount a TV. Jeff sat down with me before the work began to really make sure all the components needed were not only right for now but good enough to keep up with technology for years to come. He really made sure the right products were used and not just the most expensive ones. His crew is fantastic. They did a great job and didn't leave a spec of dirt behind. They also do a great job organizing all the wires. The crew did so well that they finished well before their expected time which saved me a lot of money. Thanks!

They hung up one tv and provided me with very detailed instructions on how to hang up the one I was doing myself. I could not have asked for any better service. I would most definitely us "Hook-It-Up" again if I needed any tv wiring or mounting. I don't think I have ever had any better service from anyone I have contacted through Angies list.

While I don't know much about mounting & cables they made everything comprehensive & included my input 100% of the way as far as positioning of the TV & the best way to hide all cables & cords. After mounting they went through & programmed all TV's to each remote (i.e. cable, AppleTV, Roku) also letting me know how they completed each step & also making sure I was comfortable & understood everything being done. Very professional & would use again for my IT needs in the future.

He provided an estimate and we scheduled the installation for the following day. When Jeff and his crew showed up they always took their shoes off inside and left everything cleaner than they found it. They were able to hardwire 6 components and added 2 new Wi-Fi access points. No more dead spots. After the installation was complete, Jeff would not leave until I was 100% comfortable with the setup and happy with the work. I would recommend Jeff and Hook It Up to anyone needing assistance with home networking, and I would use them for any service they provide.

I contacted Jeff and he said no job was too small. Jeff came out and hooked up surround on two televisions along with a dvd player and a streamer. Jeff kept asking questions about how our systems were used. Along with my answers and his knowledge, he was able to tweak the audio and visual systems on our entertainment centers. We are now using features of our system we didn't realize we had and paid for!
