Excellent. We had trouble finding a good date, weather then failed to cooperate, but communication was great.

Jeff and his team are simply the best! They did an amazing job wall mounting and concealing speakers in a room that had no access to attic or crawl space. I was pleasantly shocked at how fair his pricing was for the work, time, and materials that went into this project. I am so impressed with Hook-it-up and will be a repeat customer for future home theater work.

Jeff and his crew were very professional, timely, and very good to work with. I initially emailed Jeff and he responded promptly. All of his calls and correspondence were timely. He assessed our situation and gave us a detailed quote which he reviewed with us. The work was performed as explained and the cost estimate stood. He worked with our schedule as my husband was having some medical issues and Jeff was quite accomodating. In addition, he was friendly and explained things to us in a way we could understand. We will definitely use him in the future. We've had 3 other AV providers previously and would not use them further. Angie's list and Jeff's previous reviews are what prompted me to contact him and we're glad we did.

He gave me the choice of talking me through it or coming out. I chose the former. He guided me through the process, which was pretty complex. It took a few steps and a couple of follow-up calls, but in the end, success. I could not have done this with out them. Big thanks. I offered to pay for the advice and he suggested I pay half his in-house fee, which I was happy to do.

2nd time with H.I.U. and as the 1st time, the company does what they say they will do and WHEN they say they will be there, they are. And tons of personality when they are here.

Excellent. We met Jeff last Nov. when we moved into the area to build a home. At that time he hooked up our TV and Blue Ray for us. We told him about our home being built and that we wanted surround sound wired, and he offered to credit the very reasonable service call to that new job when we were ready. Fast forward 6 months and Jeff met us at the roughed-in house (on Sunday) and laid out exactly what needed to be done and came the following Thursday to do the job. He is also advising as to how to leverage our existing speakers and if we need any new ones. Very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. Also, very reasonably priced.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and told us exactly what we needed. I had been looking into a Sonos sound system and Jeff highly recommended it as well. He was able to provide all the components required at the same price I would have paid elsewhere, including a universal remote that works with all the new components as well as the ones I already own. On the day of installation Jeff showed up right on time with two additional employees. They worked diligently through lunch and perfectly mounted my TV in the living room on the wall above the fireplace and connected a Sonos soundbar to it. They also installed and calibrated a complete Sonos surround sound system for my media room, and put the required software on my computer. In addition they installed two programmable thermostats that I had previously purchased, who were not part of the original agreement. After the installation they cleaned up everything and Jeff showed me how to use the newly installed system. I am extremely pleased with the end result and would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation.

I was having trouble with my Apple TV and called Jeff and said I needed a and quot;maintenanceand quot; visit from him. He has done the work we needed for a couple of years. He asked me about the problem -- and I told him. He told me to try something and see if that worked -- and it did. He gave me a solution without even coming to my house. He is so helpful and nice. I highly recommend him.

Called Jeff Janson, owner, from Angie's List to determine if his company could provide and estimate and service at 6pm on 5.14.14, the same day the movers delivered our goods to new SC home. As we moved from Buffalo, NY we know zero contractors, etc. Jeff not only answered the call but he scheduled a call at 730pm that eve to look at the job; his crew then arrived at 900am SHARP the next morning and when they left I suggested if the A/V business did not work out they could go into house cleaning as they left the work areas cleaner than when they arrived. Personable, experts in their field and cost was fair.

I contacted Hook-It-up for a job to conceal the wires running to my side/rear surround wall mounted speakers by running them inside the wall/ceiling. Jeff came over at a scheduled time to estimate the work and cost involved. He then gave me the idea to use in-wall/ceiling speakers for the surrounds. At the same time he gave me a very reasonable estimate for the job to use my existing surround speakers and another estimate to go with the in-wall/ceiling speakers. I then scheduled a date/time for the job with Jeff. On the scheduled date/time, Jeff turned up with his team and began the work. Care was taken to cover the floor and other furniture with blankets/sheets. His team was very professional and knowledgeable. The job was completed in a day and the room cleaned up off any debris/dust. I later realized that I needed some additional changes done and contacted Jeff again. Jeff scheduled a time again the same week to do the additional changes needed for a very reasonable charge. Again everything was done to my satisfaction. To summarize, I would rate my experience with Hook-It-Up an A++. It is a pleasure to work with people like Jeff who provide quality service without the high costs. I highly recommend this company for the work they do.

This company was very responsive. I was contacted within hours of requesting service and an appointment was made for this Friday. When an opening occurred today, the company contacted me and sent the technician a day early. He fixed my problem within 15 minutes. I would recommend this company to anyone and will use them again if necessary.

Hook-It-Up went above and beyond what I needed done! Noticed that I had other equipment and gave me tutorials and shortcuts on that equipment while working on what I needed accomplished. I have already talked with them on the spot about my mother's issues with her equipment and will have them out to fix her issues. I would call them again for anything that I need done.

He was very knoweleadgeable. He was telling me how to hook it up through my systems and it worked. He spent over and hour on the phone with me.

From the beginning design through the final day of install Jeff and his crew were professional and made sure every component was working with the system for maximum effect. Their knowledge of general products on the market today, electronics and specific components was impressive. I now have the AV system of my dreams. The system is easy to use and performs to better than my expectations. I felt like Jeff was my good friend and he was always going above and beyond to make a difference in the whole process. This was hands down the best company I contacted. Jeff personally came out and inspected everything that I wanted done and gave me a real price. The other companies I contacted all gave me low ball numbers and I knew it. Jeff was very professional and took the time to go over every aspect of the installation. On installation day, Jeff and his team were right on time and did everything they said they were going to do. In the end; the price actually came in lower than Jeff had estimated. After the installation was complete, I had a few follow up questions and Jeff was very responsive. Bottom line, I made the right choice. I would highly recommend anyone to use Hook-It-Up. Jeff and his team of PROFESSIONAL installers showed up early, on the date scheduled and immediately began working. I tasked them with running speaker wires in my vaulted ceiling living room (all exterior walls), mounting professional grade speakers and installing an outdoor/weatherproof speaker all in the same day. They not only did what was asked, they professionally consulted me on the best way to set up a home theater system. The wires remain hidden, bundled very nicely, and labeled for installation by the homeowner. Jeff frequently gave advice, made recommendations and worked with me on the budget I had set for this project. His team of installers were very thorough, did the job asked and had vast industry knowledge. Not only does Jeff has many, many year of experience installing and designing home theatre systems, overall, he's just a nice guy. Don't hesitate, call Jeff and have it done right the first time!

Our TV quality was poor after a cable install. Rather than deal with them again, we went straight to Jeff who not only cleared up the picture quality but programmed the remote to control all our needs. He also tested our speakers and let us know what options were available for a follow-up visit. Less than an hour later, we had a completely different TV viewing experience. 100% worth it.

Jeff is great. NO problem is too big for him. If he hasn't done it, he will figure it out. This is the guy you need.

AWESOME!!! Great work - provided estimates, punctual, neat, and meticulous. He even straightened out unsightly cables and tie-wrapped them to a more streamlined look. Hid all the cables that were hanging from my TV and made it all look perfect. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business. HATS OFF to great work from a local Charlotte company!!! I'm also going to have him come back and hook up video monitoring system for my home. :-)

We have used Jeff's service many times in the past and he is excellent. Very responsive (especially texting) to our needs and sometimes he can even come out same day if we beg him! He is super smart, very technical and is very easy to communicate with him in non IT language. On some occasions, we can text each other and solve the problem with our AV system. Jeff has done everything from setting up our entertainment system to our most recent service which was reprogramming our Logitech remote with our enhanced cable service.

We have a media room and needed to upgrade the ceiling mounted projector. Even though the new one was a different size, Jeff and crew did a great job mounting and seting up the projector. I was impressed by his background knowledge of all the quirks you run into when you replace one brand device (Sony) with a different brand (Epson). They arrived when expected, took great care to protect the work area with moving blankets, and finished the job quickly. Jeff made sure everything was working to our satisfaction before wrapping up for the day.

The installation went really well. Jeff arrived right on time and proceeded to install the bracket (which I had ordered on Amazon) and a rear center speaker. This additional speaker was meant to complement the installation of a 5.1 system in December, which Jeff also completed. I have no complaints...no ceiling damage (it was a ceiling bracket), cleaned up after finishing the job, and then adjusted the balance of the speakers for optimal sound. In addition to the results, Jeff is a pleasant guy who works quickly and efficiently. He would have finished faster if we didn't engage in a conversation...I think I slowed him down. Total time was abount one hour. I highly recommend you do your homework and check out the stereo and home theater installation folks on Angie's List. But do yourself a favor and choose Jeff at Hook-It-Up. You'll be glad you did.

In August we switched to Dish Network. After the installer left -- over a period of time we noticed that there was no sound on the Apple TV and the DVD player was not working at all. When Jeff arrived and started looking around he found two cables that had been disconnected, obviously by the Dish installer. My husband and I know nothing about those cables so we do not touch anything! Also our Wii was not working and we found that the power was not on -- whoops! Anyway, we are now fully functional -- thanks to Jeff's excellent expertise. I would highly recommend him to Angie's subscribers. And, thank you, Jeff!

Jeff was punctual, professional and courteous. He took his time to make sure that everything was mounted and wired perfectly. He did an excellent job managing the cables and wiring. I would definitely use him in the future for any needs

Working with Jeff Janson and Hook-It-Up was a pleasure.He came to our office to understand the work needed and promplty give us an estimate.He also worked with our difficult time and billing constraints. They showed up puntually for all work done and did an excellent job while safely performing the work in a busy area of our office, as well as without distraction to our office staff. The work is very well done, Jeff and staff are true professionals and are very qualified for this type of commercial work. We are planning on using them again soon for another job similar to what we had done previously.
