Window Gang

Two workers from the Window Gang arrived on time and worked til the job was done. House looked fantastic when they were done.

After they quoted the price, then they said I needed to have the windows scraped because of paint over-spray. I asked why this wasn't brought up when they came out for the estimate. They wanted to raise the price by about $200, but agreed to keep the original rate when I complained.

Window Gang refused to install our shutters. Their reason was they did not have enough people to do the work. As a result my wife and I, at great risk, installed most of the shutters ourselves. We never got our $500 deposit back. The current franchise owner said it was not his responsibility as the contract was signed with the previous franchise owner.

They do a great job. They are reliable and responsible. Nate, the owner, is terrific.

Scott & Khris were the technicians and did one heck of a job. Professional, polite, and very efficient. Next time will have them do the inside as well. Second time that I have used them and will get on an automatic renewal! A great deal!

I do NOT recommend this company. I called and scheduled an appointment to have them come to my home and give me a quote to wash all the windows in the home. They did not show up for the appointment and did not call to say they wouldn't be there. When I called to inquire about the missed appointment, the lady that answered the phone was very rude and even hung up on me! No customer service with The Window Gang of Charleston, SC.

I spoke with Jessica and asked for a quote to clean the windows at three of my businesses and she said that she would get right back with me with a quote. After not hearing back from anyone 2 weeks and 3 calls later I still dont have a quote. I got quotes from two other companies and have now chosen one of the other companies

They did a good job! My home looks much better!

Prompt, professional and reasonable.

Fair. Employee prompt and professional....He was very quick though....Simpy used his basic mop equipment for cleaning. Did not spot or scrape any areas. In and out in 40 mins. Only 8 windows. Overall windows were cleaner. As soon as he left I went to look at my sliding glass doors. Still multiple small areas where little drops of paint were, and even l bird dropping. Ran outside to catch him but he was gone...I am sure he would have come back and scraped them for me as he was a nice guy.... I scraped the paint off easily enough with my nails, but in the past, this was always part of the service...there were at least 6 areas that would have taken an extra 5 minutes to address. I took photos. I My fault for not checking the work....It was very cold outside and I can imagine why he was in a hurry. My large window had seal broken so did not expect much on that, so not his fault that it was still cloudy. Just be very specific when using.

Window Gang's David was the best. He did a great job of cleaning all windows and sliding glass doors. We were amazed at how dirty they had become when we saw the crystal clear results of David's work. We will definitely use the Window Gang again and will recommend them to our friends

This was the second time I used Window Gang. In both instances, I felt the price was fair for the work done. They were able to get to our home within a short period of time, showed up when promised, didn't leave a mess. Also they left an estimate for other work they do which I appreciated (such as cleaning windows, and power washing your home).

They did and excellent job. I was VERY satisfied with how they did. Would recommend them to anyone.

They are on Angie's List. They were excellent! They were fast. First of all, they got here ahead of schedule. They got here 45 minutes early and it took them no more than an hour. There were 3 workers and they did a great job on the windows. I've had my windows washed here in this house before. I haven't lived here all that long, and the guy was just a handyman and he was really unprofessional, that is why I looked on Angie's List because I wanted to get somebody who was efficient and clean. I have no comparison when it comes to price.

June 13 was told by phone that the confirmed appointment of June 14 could not be honored as no one available and asked if next Wednesday, June 18 at 800 AM was acceptable. I agreed to change although I had already arranged to spend the morning of June 14 at house of relative. I was at house before 800 AM on June 18. June 18 at 815 AM 1 of 2 crew members showed up. He was easy to deal with and started right away. The second person, I think he was the "lead" man of the crew, showed up about 1 1/2 hours later as he "had to take his wife to airport". He also appeared friendly. "Completed" job about 1115 AM. Windows were cleaned; however, not as agreed. The crew appeared to clean glass OK; however, did not remove outer storms. The large picture window had much condensation and I said they had to remove the condensation. The "lead" man said it would go away. I told him that was not acceptable; and they did partially open the storm window and "fanned" it to remove condensation. As they were doing that I checked inside the house and some windows and saw that sills between the original window and outer storm window still dirty; had some insect parts and dirt around edges and much in corners. It appeared that a swipe was made down the middle, in the 3 to 4 inches wide gap between the original and storm windows. I pointed it out to "lead" man and he said in condescending tone "that doesn't look clean to you"? I looked him straight in the eye and said "no". He wiped it some more. He also said ?sills were not part of the cost?. I assured him he was wrong as that was not what was agreed when I made the appointment to clean. He then went outside and I guess called his office. I went outside and asked again about cleaning the sills. He then said he wanted to take photos. His attitude was such that I told him no photos and I wanted him to leave as I was not going to let him use one photo to "prove" he did a good job on sills. He asked if I wanted to talk to the manager as I was not going to pay until job was done. I said, no that I would call her on my phone. (I wanted a record that I called on my phone.) I also told him again they had to leave. (I did not like his tone.) Talked to manger and explained the issue of the sills and she agreed that clean sills were part of the cleaning agreement. She asked how many were not cleaned and I said three as those were the ones I initially saw. She then seemed indignant that only three were not done and I again said I did not want them to stay and take photos. I then asked her to hold as I went and checked all 11 window sills. NONE were anywhere close to being cleaned and I told her so. I then told her I was not going to pay the $240 as not all the work was done as agreed. She then asked what I wanted and I said a discount. She asked if $40 off was OK and went ahead and said "yes" to end it. I then said I would send payment at which time she hung up on me. $200 sent later that same day of June 18 to the Window Gang's Melbourne address. I will not use them again.
